The child had just managed to scrape most of the goop off of themselves in the escape pod when something blotted out the light from above. They had been trying not to pay too much attention to the noise outside, but now they could make out the horrible screaming of those...things as well as something...mechanical? Suddenly, a massive glistening black mass is shoved into the escape pod. It writhes and screams as a large mechanical claw pins it against the floor. One of the soldiers is calmly piloting a cargo lifter, barely managing to hold the giant alien down as he winds up the other claw for a strike. The child is terrified, not only are they mere inches away from the creature, they are strapped in, and in their panic it is difficult to unlock the belts. As they finally unfasten the restraints, they feel a hand on their shoulder and a voice shouts over the din "Don't be scared! Everything is under control! Let's get you buckled up!" The child turns to look and sees a man, torn in half, with wires and tubes sticking out and covered in a white, milky substance. The child screams.
I have to say, congratulations on making videos where the audience needs to know nothing about the rules. You communicate the importance of dice rolls, and we get to feel that tension without knowing all the nonsense mechanics. Impressive editing and storytelling!
I've never seen this pointed out before, but this is such an excellent point. It really captures a key part of what makes these videos so engaging and easy to watch for the viewers: the accessibility serves to enhance the entertainment value in an intentional and well-conveyed way (it's ironic when you consider their main series of TTT is so much the opposite; it's extraordinarily hard to follow for new, or even returning viewers, alike.). It's genuinely some of the best content the Yogscast have ever made.

You have a pretty optimistic view of the Alien universe if you think Weyland Yutani serves beef to their customers at McWeyland's, lol. The poor scrubs would be lucky to be eating ground-up insects, but Soylent Green seems far more likely from corpos as evil and profit-hungry as Weyland Yutani. Honestly, alien eggs would be a step up.
If this was an alien movie, the ship coming to rescue the escape pod (the one with Jenkins and Jorkins on) would have the little chest-burster babby clinging to the landing gear!
Oh, no. No need for that. We have a whole fresh batch of aliens brewing for the sequel, and this time it’s on a whole Corp space station… The hubris of man is truly our greatest folly…
Imagine on the Corp space station, the Queen is now all chained up with guns and lasers and missiles all pointed at it and it's forced to keep laying eggs. Endless human reinforcements, mechs and lab coats. Then you're playing as the little chest burster that sneaked on, on a mission to screw with the humans and rescue the big mama herself.

This has got to be one of my all time favourite Battle Reports from Games Night! The amount of adrenaline-fueled action straight out of Aliens, the horror of surprise facehugger attacks and alien queens emerging from the darkness, and the endlessly hilarious and exceedingly creative decisions from Ben, Lewis, and Tom had me hooked from start to finish. This would have genuinely made for a fantastic Alien movie; it's incredibly entertaining content that continues this channel's status as being the best board game report content on RUclips. I can never get enough of the amazing work that Ben and Co. do on this channel. I love every single video they put out!
Might be in the members only vid. But from what I could tell they mostly used the Hulk action points system, just replaced the old square grid tiles with a standard X inches of movement per action point spent,, and using 1 AP or a command point per round of shooting/grenade toss. But Ben was also allowing some extra DM approved actions outside the norm, like the flamer guy choosing to blowing himself up to wipe out the horde
As a Very long time Alien/s fan, and an avid wargamer, that bat-rep was FREAKIN AWESOME. The special effects were to die for, and made my experience as a viewer way more immersive. Thank you guys for that.
part 2 of this needs to be a Jurassic park 2 style game where the queen is loose in a city and the players have to lure her to a ship/ put her eggs on a ship and send her back into space before she lays too many eggs and kills all guards. Another great episode, always love watching these and often go back again and again
