    I love the Dol Guldur ringwraiths. The designs are all amazing and I'd love a set. The one one that fell short for me was Khamul's giant horns. I personally didn't feel like it worked with the Easterling aesthetic. But a head swap would sort that out. Great paint job as usual. I love these videos.

      @@SwordsandBrushes They've really helped inspire me to get back into painting. That might sound a bit corny but I'd been on a long slump after a few terrible paint jobs and after watching your Easterling video it got me back into painting again. I finished most of my backlog of Infinity and Fallout models and I'm hoping to do an Easterling force following your guide mounted on wargs. Not lore accurate but I like the idea.

    Hi your color scheme is very cool it changes from the eternal black dry brushed gun metal. Very good.
    thank you

    Hi @swordandbrushes, is it possible to use the airbrush to do something with the miniatures of lord of the rings? i know they are small, but maybe you can for example do all the cloacks ecc... or do you just paint them with classic method? thanks in advance

    • @SwordsandBrushes
      @SwordsandBrushes  7 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, absolutely, i tend to do this as much as possible to speed things up when im working on projects. Especially for base coating :)
      Takes a bit of patience as they are much smaller than say a Space Marine - but time saving it is! :):)

    I really like this color scheme you have used man.
    I prefer to use blacks and dark dark metallic, but i would still so take your of the green speed paint sword effect

      Yeh I think it's just engrained in our imagination of how they would look, especially seeing them in the films.
      But always nice to try something a touch different :)

    Hey there,
    I got a dumb question since I am new to all this, but I recently started with using the speed paint of Army Painter, but so far the colours turn out way darker on my miniatures then on carton for example. Any tips? Or is it due the black undercoat?

    • @SwordsandBrushes
      @SwordsandBrushes  6 месяцев назад

      Hello and welcome to the hobby! :)
      Don't worry about it there is never a silly question so please feel free to ask :)
      They work best of a lighter basecoat, so a white, light grey and cream will make the colours "pop out" more.
      You could also do something called pre-shading which could be something sprayed black first and then either a spray or painted on lighter colour over the top (but leaving the black in the shaded areas) and once you put the speed paint on - it will be brighter on the lighter layer but darker for the shadows - which makes it a quick way of painting.
      If you have a look at my "how to paint Army of the Dead Warrior" it will show you a bit more on this.
      Hope that helps! :)
