Amazing, you just gave me how too, having almost the same idea, a bit more greyish to be honest was my initial thought, but wasn't sure how to approach this. Also, I noticed a small wrong entry, in the begging you mention that the dry brushing is done with "Mocca skin", which I tried to find the color on AP's site and doesn't exist. By the look of it looks more to Kobold Skin to me. Not sure exactly, can you help on which color you are using there indeed ? Also, I'm using also AP's colors, and man you are the FIRST content creator that I met that he's using AP instead of GW colors, but also you tried to match those with GW for those who don't have. Brilliant. Thanks again and now thanks to you know how to “treat” my Middle Earth armies. Keep it up !!!

Hey Brushes, I really like the wing texture. It looks just like leather. I also like the bluish tint in the body. The fine lines on the face, neck and wings make the model really pop. Nice work! I'd like to paint mine with a 'metal' look on the scales. I don't know whether to paint it black and dry brush a gunmetal color over it or paint it gunmetal and use a black wash? I think I might have more control with the dry brush application. Any thoughts? Thanks for a great channel and quality content!!

Thank you very much! yes i REALLY enjoyed doing the Fellbeast it was great adding those little touches to it - one day i would love to get the Mumak and then have a crack at that big beast! :)
Im having the same thoughts with Thranduil, i want to do a metallic looking cloak as it an unusual material - but i have not done it yet.
The drybrush method would be good i reckon as it will give the scales a flicker of metal rather than basecoating it all in metal. i'm kind of thinking a a watered down grey paint would be good for it - but id test it out if you have a spare model of something just to get a feel of wha tit would like like :)
