Thanks for the tutorial! Just starting MESBG and Easterlings immediately caught my eye. Your tutorial has made them much less daunting of an army to paint!

Awesome to hear! Hope that you will enjoy all that is Middle Earth :) Easterlings are cool, i think it's just their unique looking armour that stand out for me.
Glad that you liked the video and i hope that you can take a snippet from it for inspiration on your future army :):)

I plan to go strong into inflantry, and have the "Golden Horde". Some cavalery, but not a lot. Not all of them will be "gold and red" themed, I want to mix gold with other colors to have variability beetwen the warbands! I like when then there are more colors on the table :D

Thank you very much i'm glad that you enjoyed it! I tested the format of this one a bit to include a speed paint version to show more choice so hopefully the video didn't seem to much back and forth between them? :):)

He is, but crikey its such a nice miniature! No i didnt order anything, ive got a fair bit of backlog to get through so no new toys for me for the moment - maybe Christmas, unless something screams out at me before then! :)

Just found your channel and thought i gotta give a comment. Firstly I think your miniatures look superb and since I just recently got the Pelennor field box and bought some speed paints I cant wait to try some of your tutorials out. But aside from your paint job I really want to compliment your video quality / editing. Very well done.

oh thank you so much! It really does mean a lot when people not only watch, but then take their time out to comment something too!
Im glad that I could be of service and provide some hobby content for you :):)
Yes it was a bit of research into how on earth do i record/video edit to get me going, and i try to learn and get a bit better each time where i can :)
Awesome, what are you going to start on First with the Pelenor set? - I should really get back to mine soon!

@@SwordsandBrushes I know how you feel. I published a video just for fun a while ago (not painting related) which got a lot of traction and I really enjoy reading and answering to comments. Found your channel through the lotr miniatures subreddit. Im really interested in the upcoming Balrog video. The photos you posted looked amazing.
I painted some minis like 10 years ago and just recently got back into the hobbit with the pelennor box set. I thought im gonna start with some orks since it doesnt matter that much if you mess them up. But I checked out your Army of the Dead (and also rohan horses) tutorial, so I might go for them instead and try out my new speedpaints.
I think a tutorial for the Witchking on Fellbeast would be great as well :)

Ah yes cool, i only just started using Reddit, asa someone suggested this to me a few videos back. Again it's really nice to have hobby conversations on there and be part of a nice Middle Earth community on there. Everyone seems super friendly which is nice!
Well it's nice to see you make your grand comeback with the best valued set of miniatures i think GW have done for a core box game!
oh yes the Army of the Dead were so much fun to do! Ive got the next Fellowship video to do next and then i will do the next Pelennor after that one - hopefully i can squeeze that in before i go on holiday for my birthday!
But yes, i will cover all of the Pelennor set :):)
I hope that you enjoy painting up the Dead guys! I will add some photos of them on the subreddit, maybe later on today! :):)

@@SwordsandBrushes I got some Variags of Khand models from Medbury Miniatures and decided to get some Easterlings to ally since Khand is kinda limited. But with the new Dragon Emperor and characters, I'll likely pick them up to grow a whole force.

I was trying to work out a good way of doing verdigris on brass or copper and just happened to complete my Army painter warpaint set with Elemental bolt.
Can't wait to try this, thanks for another tip 👍🏼

    • @SwordsandBrushes
      @SwordsandBrushes  2 года назад +1

haha it was like it was written in the stars for you! :)
Yes i think Elemental bolt, Royal Cloak, Hydra Turquiose or Wizard Orbs would be good candidates for some simple verdigris. Even a combination of a couple would be good for some variety :):)

No worries - Iv'e got you covered for that! :) There is a video called "basing for Beginners" which has a few different ways of creating these Middle Earth style basing for the minis in the videos.
I thought the best way would be to keep them separate so I wouldn't need to use the same footage for the bases in each video :):)
