    Best looking Dol Amroth I've ever seen. I wish I was as talented as you. I'm starting out again after a 17 year break so still rubbish. Shades and speedpaints weren't a thing back when I started!

      Ah thank you for the kind words, i just love to paint miniatures - i find it very therapeutic :)
      Wow that is a long break! What project(s) do you have on the paint table? oh yes - there is SOOOOOOOO many different types of paints/companies tools and materials - it's quite a hobby jungle out there now! haha
      Well you are more than welcome on this channel at any time, i try to do the videos so there is a bit for everyone in terms of getting some battle ready miniatures done - to some more in depth painting ideas/experiments.
      At the end of the day - i just want people to have some cool looking miniatures that they are proud of, but more importantly have fun doing so :):)

      @@SwordsandBrushes I agree, very Therapeutic! Have dug out my old Rohan and Isengard models from the loft so currently working on Warriors of Rohan. Next will be tackling the Uruk Battering ram I found.
      I got a batch of citadel paints but tempted to get some speedpaints. Read they can be challenging for beginners so getting some practice in first before taking the plunge.
      I will be watching all your upcoming videos for inspiration so thank you for the quality content!

    Beautiful paint job! I have a question about the army painter paints. I've found that mine separate very easily and give poor coverage no matter how much I shake them and remove the gel at the top. Did you find yours to be the same and if so how did you fix them?

    • @SwordsandBrushes
      @SwordsandBrushes  Год назад

      Thanks very much, and i appreciate the question as well.
      When opening a brand new pot- it's best to squirt out the top layer and disregard it - then give it a good shake afterwards. I think it's on their little pamphlet that they supply with the paint sets.
      I do know that the oranges and yellows are not the best - but then again i've tried a number of brands and still cant find a good orange and yellow!

      Thank you kindly! And yes good idea for a short video on gemstones - ive done a fair few in my time whilst painting Warhammer and Elves! haha - i love using a watered down black for the shaded part of the stone and especially going around the edge of it - it will frame the stone nicely depening how it is housed on armour/trinkets etc.
