      @@GoobertownHobbiesmy Brets are currently Technicolor knights with mostly 1 scheme for the peasants, but with the change to the lore, I'll be painting my future/additional knights to represent my chosen territory.

      @@VAwitchThat's the fun of it, you can make up your own lore and choices to go along with it such as my Imperium units which are all Christian heretics that believe in Jesus Christ and reject that the emperor is god, and fight for the good of humanity because in this alternate universe the second coming still hasn't happened.
      I just need to find little cross decals to put on all their shoulder pads now.

    Whenever I get overly zealous about trying to achieve the best results, stressing out over perfect blends and color theory, your videos help remind me of the most important thing in this hobby: to have fun, and enjoy what you're doing, from start to finish. You radiate all the positive, chill energy that got me into this hobby in the first place, and I'm thankful for that.
    Also, really like your Bretonnians, they look wonderfully retro (in a good way); I love how much color Bretonnian armies (almost) always bring to the table, even if I don't collect them myself - they embody the fact that medieval times weren't all brown and yellowish-green, there was so much color all around!

    Man I bet painting brettonia is a ton of fun. The knights are a perfect opportunity to try multiple schemes out in a single army. I’d probably do a half and half approach where half the heraldry is the same across every model to show their allegiance to a common banner. There’s loads of ways to approach that though. Cool video

    • @foldionepapyrus3441
      @foldionepapyrus3441 10 месяцев назад

      As a guy who did very much like the old world and Bretonnia I wish I could be glad...
      But as the reason they are making a bit of a comeback is rubbish with too many factions missing, including almost all of my and my friends armies. Plus not even any nice Cold-one riders or fun nutty chaos dwarf to come, and those minis always where epic even when you didn't like the army as a whole..
      Still I guess it might motivate me to finally finish my Brettonian army - even went through the effort to make a customised mount (hippogriff) for it along with heaps of filing to remove most of the mold limitations on the horses, but far as I can recall I've not actually finished painting any of them before I put them away with the death of the old world.

    • @GoobertownHobbies

      @@foldionepapyrus3441 I'm not buying any new stuff, but it seems like a fine occassion to pull some choice minis out of the pile and celebrate the good 'ol days. Paint some Cold Ones, have fun with 'em! Better yet, print some cold ones

      @@GoobertownHobbies Indeed. My thoughts as well. I'd love to paint some more Cold ones, if only to see how far my skills have atrophied over the last decade or so...
      But Citadel will have to work very hard creating some really impressive Mini that would really tickle my fancy and somehow get it across my path... So many great digital sculptors out there, other great mini producing companies and usually with far better searchability for the sort of mini you want..
