The detail of Bilbo’s house having an interior just adds so SO much magic to the build. I can just imagine younger me seeing that and imagining that it’s all like that. The board is so very beautiful too. I've been a modeler for 40 years and a Tolkein nerd since I learned how to read. Awesome work and extra praise for not stopping and getting it done. When you start stage 2 (probably after the kids get out of college). You need several windows on the east side of Bagend, the Hobbit says these were the best rooms in the hole, they allowed morning sunshine to come in. Don't know if there were windows on the west side or not, story did not say.

At 0:42 , if you look towards the upper right hand side of the screen; way into the background in this Lord of the Rings scene, there is an area that appears smokey or misty; there was a rumor that when this scene was shot, a vehicle had driven on a dirt road accidentally; but the incident was considered a "happy accident" because in post- production, the visual effects folks simply digitally erased the car out of the scene and kept the dust it produced; that misty, smokey effect.

I was 11 years old when I came to watch this masterpiece in the cinema, and Bilbo's phrase is about the fact that you only have to step on the road... It has become my motto in tourism. After all, how well said
