I wish there were 10 like buttons, because I'd hit them all. You are such a great teacher. You work for understanding of the pattern as a whole instead of teaching stich-to-stich. I love that you explain the WHY and the HOW so that we understand how it all comes together.
This is the first project of yours I've seen, but I am subscribed now and looking forward to everything else you have in store!
Thank you for your time, patience, and skill.

You are a skilled teacher. You give precise directions, break them into bite-sized pieces, speak slowly yet concisely, and are encouraging.Your camera angles are excellent. The viewer can always see what you are describing. Lastly, you review frequently and look to help us put it all together. Nicely done. Thank you for all of your videos!!

By George I think I’ve got it, thank you I was trying to follow another person’s tutorial but they kept jumping between US and UK terms which was confusing the hell out of me, you though sir are amazing and my blanket is coming along a treat and for an absolute beginner it’s amazing.❤️
My blanket is done and even though it’s airy as in not a solid piece it is the warmest blanket ever, has pride and place on the end of my bed for the extra chilly nights here in Tassie.

Noreen, I was doing the same one you were speaking about. UK-US confused the hell out of me. I was so happy to locate Fiber Spider. As I followed him and his sweet voice, I stopped each time, and wrote it down. Now I'll have the written pattern, and I'm happy.

Hello! Just want to say you are the best in tutorials. I tried other tutorials and found them to be much too fast and too convoluted. My niece told me about you and I'm hooked. You take the time to explain each part of the pattern. Even though I've been crocheting over 50 yrs, I can always learn a bit more. Thank you for being a great teacher.

I have not crocheted in about 20 years, and I find that there are so many sources on the internet nowadays, and this video is one of the better instructional videos. Now I will attempt to continue along on this project. Then I will block the piece and give it to my niece. Thanks very much.

Thank you. I love your teaching style. Easy to take your instructions and change them to meet my needs. Your efforts to show what the pattern should look like, and how many stitches you should have make a huge difference. The love the virus pattern - The pattern grows, and grows - THEN MULTIPLIES. I think of the "web work" as healthy tissue - that gets smaller with each row! Scary. I end my blankets/shawls with the picot stitch - which I think of as the antivirus - stopping the virus. Of course, I have called at least one of my shawls The Covid Virus.

  • @MK-qg9ej

Your part 1 and now part 2 makes the fourth video on the virus pattern, although my mother refers to the pattern as the owl face pattern because of the corners, I've seen and your tutorials are the easiest to understand. I've started the virus blanket three times and only by following your two videos have I actually moved past the second round of repeats. So far things are going well and hopefully I'll be able to finish it and present it to my sister in law as a Christmas gift this year. I plan to scroll through your other videos for ideas on what to make for everyone else, like those pretty fingerless gloves.

Thank you, thank you! Your wonderful videos have helped this left hander to learn more than I thought possible. I first watched the virus video two years ago when I had Covid.
I did a lot of unpicking and rewatching, it was wonderful. Used the lionbrand mandala yarn and am on my third mandala virus but had to come back and rewatch as left a large non crochet gap. Followed the virus scarf pattern too. Have used other yarns for a queen bed size blanket.
Seriously grateful for your videos and voice.

I love your tutorials. I tweaked this one a little bit though and it came out great I did 10 then 20 then 40 in the beginning to make it lay flat. And starting in round eight I did the chain 5 for the corners and in the middle of the corners I did a chain 3 instead of chain 5 over the bridges. And it made it so that all the virus holes are the same size and it still sits flat.

I love your Virus Blanket tutorial. You are very patient and have a calming voice and you make beautiful work. Thank you for taking your time and showing this step by step. By the way, that part at 5:20 in the video where you say "this is not an actual space but skip over it", I think of that as skipping over "chain space, wonky space, chain space" since it wasn't a real space but i needed to call it something so I wouldn't crochet into it. Not exactly a professional term for it but whatever keeps me on track right? LOL. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for this tutorial. This is the third item I have crocheted and I love it. Your teaching methods are so cool showing me how to really break down and understand the pattern which has helped me with other projects x
