I know this is an older video, but YOU, Bella Coco, are the reason I've learned to crochet. I got books, read tons of patterns, tried until I cried. Then, someone suggested I look up your single crochet tutorial on RUclips. You are the only one I've been able to follow to learn because you are methodical, clearly explain what we are doing, and cover both US and UK terms. Thank you so much for these beautiful tutorials and sharing your talents with us so we may enjoy crocheting, too!
@bellacococrochet hi Sarah, I'm having soo much trouble with this pattern. I've finished repeats now not sure how to proceed. Help! Nearly accomplished!
Hope every one ok and safe.Do it in chunky and boom big blanket in a week😁just need to find something else to do now!! Wash them hands and stay safe boys and girls
I’ve looked at several different tutorials on the virus blanket and I found yours to be the easiest to follow. Thanks for the very clear instructions and for the tips on changing colour. Best Regards from Australia.
Loved this tutorial. Made a virus blanket for my bed and am now making one for my granddaughter. Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. Thank you.
This is one of the most straightforward and easiest tutorials I have ever watched 👀!! I have been avoiding the virus blanket for a while cause I worried it was difficult but I was wrong! Thank u so much!!! 💓
I’m making this for my baby girl due in March! I’m using a dusty pink rose color and then attaching a dark purple satin ribbon for the edges! I’m already onto my third repeat and it’s so beautiful! Thank you for your amazing video that has made it so easy to follow along!💕
I was very intimidated by this blanket but I did it! You did an amazing tutorial and made it so easy!!! Love you and thank you for giving me a fun and challenging project to work on!
Thank you so much for your amazing tutorial! I was so intimidated by this pattern but thanks to this video I feel like a pro (ok...maybe just slightly less like a beginner). Am planning on turning my piece into a cocoon shrug (using Loops&Threads Eco-Calm Stripes which I’m currently in love with). Even if it doesn’t work out the first time I’m really enjoying the process 😊
I only started Crocheting 4weeks ago, and I’m addicted. I managed to crochet this virus blanket in the Sheepies Whirl Rosewater Cocktail, it looks amazing, thank you Bella Coco. Your tutorials are fab and so easy to follow.
I like the way how you explained step by step,,love your videos when I decided to study crochet I've been started to follow your videos from the beginners tutorial up to now.. thank you!!
Wow! Ms Bella...I've been watching quite a few video tutorials on the virus pattern, and admittedly, found it rather intimating, vowing never am I going to attempt to make one! Well, I found your video and thought, hey why not give it another try...and you know what? Yours is so much more clearer and concise! Thank you, thank you! Definitely will give it another go...J
Bella I love this pattern and have used it to make an afghan, plus dish towel and cloth, of course with 100% cotton. You are an excellent teacher. I know I am American but 54% of me is English, I always refer to the UK terminology when crocheting. Thanks for sharing your skills.
Started one today. Wonderful video tutorials. You are so clear and precise. I also made the virus shawl with you other video tutorial. I reference your videos alot and always seem to find something fun and challenging. Been following you for sometime now and so happy for all your successes! Thank you for all you do! Sincerely from Oregon U.S.A
I have just finished a virus shawl for a Birthday gift. It turned out beautifully thanks to your fine instructions. I am so pleased to see a square version. My next project !
Hi Sarah ~Jayne..... I love this blanket I've made a few of them in different wool & now I'm doing another blanket, following your instructions using Hayfield baby blossom chunky in the shade buttercup (My favourite wool) Sending my best wishes from Lancashire x
Thank you so much for posting this tutorial video. I'm brand new to crocheting and your video was so easy to follow along with. I really appreciate it!!
Ms Bella I’m teaching myself to crochet and your tutorials are making it clear and very helpful and understandable thank you so much I’m having fun thank you
I am knitting baby blankets. I started with granny square. Then moved on the drunk granny. I have followed your tutorial for the virus blanket. Thank you for a brilliant tutorial.
After reading through all the comments, I'm surprised that not one mentions that the paused written instructions at the end of round 4 are actually the instructions for round 3. Otherwise, this tutorial has been easy to follow (and I learned to crochet less than a week ago). Thank you for making such wonderful tutorials. You're the reason I can now crochet!
Loved your video. You were so clear with your instructions, I had no trouble following along. And one little thing....I LOVE your nails. Some crochet tutorials have ladies with crazy nails and it's so hard for me to follow along. Thank you!! :D
Thank you!! I started a virus blanket a couple of tears ago and had to put it aside. Dragged it out last night and I couldn't remember how to keep going! You gave saved this blanket ❤
Beautiful, awesome job 👏 I'm with you. I'm from South Africa 🇿🇦 and I also crochet, and I love ❤️ it and I will do it myself. Thanks alot and keep on doing your good job,I appreciate your work, have a great 👍 day.
Ms Bella , Thank You again for sharing your talent on the videos. Your instruction are detailed and very easy to follow. Keep bringing them & I'll keep learning. 👍👍😊
I have been craving to do this blanket for a long time. I have enjoyed learning from you. I've made a few of your projects. This will be fun to make. Thank you again for sharing.
Great tutorial thanks. The way you explain the pattern has helped me to rectify when I've made the odd mistake. Looking at the overall pattern and add the odd extra stitch to keep it even. Very clear.
You do such a lovely job of explaining everything very clearly. Thank you for this! Also - I think the color change where you did it looks pretty, even if it's not "technically correct."
really nice work, looks really intricate but the basic repetition makes it fast and easy. and the tutorial is clear and very well explained, a peach to follow 👍
Kedves Bella Coco, Nagyon tetszett ez a minta, biztosan ki fogom próbálni! Szeretem a videóidat! Nagyon jól magyarázol! Köszönöm a megosztást! Kata, Magyarországról. 🥰😍
Thank you this tutorial! I made a blanket for a friend's baby a couple of years ago and just finished a large blanket for my brother. This is one of my favourite patterns, despite the fact that i feel like I'm obsessively counting each stitch!!!
Just saw this Virus blanket being created and had to come find a tutorial 👌🏾❤Love Love Love This Video!!! Thank you for making thing so clear for me...can't wait to work this up❣👏🏾🤩🥰Keep Crocheting My Lovely's
Hi Bella Coco. I love, your crochet patterns, here on youtube, and I actually want to say that I come from Denmark and that I have spent all my schooling, going to special class, and have not learned English, but you do it that way, although i can make your recipes, although i don't understand, pretty much what you say but i can then speaking in english i will also admit i have used google translator to write to you. Sincerely, Allan DK
Thank you for watching my tutorials and thank you for getting in touch. I'm glad that you are able to follow them ( Tak for at have set mine tutorials og tak for at komme i kontakt. Jeg er glad for, at du er i stand til at følge dem) :)
Wow. This is an extremely elegant pattern - but it IS also very detailed so in spite of your clear instructions (I find myself returning to your channel on a regular basis) not going to attempt it until I have more "crochet time" under my belt. I've only been crocheting less than a year so I'll save this lovely pattern for myself during our long winters.
If you decide to try it, look up her UK treble crochet (US double), a slip stitch, and a UK double (US single crochet). The only 3 stitches used so far. I'm novice myself and this is sooo much easier than I ever thought it would be thanks to her video!
I know this comment is 2 yrs old but may I ask how your dress turned out? I’m (supposed to be) getting married this year and I hadn’t even thought of doing this! I might just stick to a nice shawl as I’m a beginner crocheter but I’m still curious 🙂
Ohh 😰! If you don’t count well, you are lost! I had to go back and back and back 😂😂😂 because I had the tv on and wasn’t concentrating in counting and because of doing it again and again, now I know it by heart!
I found this pattern after I saw someone's version of your pattern on Instagram (she sent me to you!) I've followed quite a few of your tutorials before, so I am EXCITED to try this!

Hi Gypsy, Thank you for your feedback it really means a lot :) Their is a shawl tutorial however this is a triangular pattern not a rectangle. I do not have a pattern for a rectangle unfortunately.
I may be wrong as I am not a pro, but I have made a rectangle blanket once before and I would think just changing the 1st and 2nd row like u would starting a rectangle blanket then follow the same instructions. You would have more chain 3's on the sides but the corners would be the same. Hope this helps! 🙏
@@peachfire1981 Thank you for your reply dear... I didn't quite understand though.. what change should I make for the 1st and 2nd row... maybe, you could upload your version... that would be great 👍

Thank you so much! 😊 This is actually really common and most people find that the blanket lays flat once they’ve worked more rounds, so you should be ok. I would also double check that you’re using the correct hook size for your yarn.
