Fiber Spider, you are a blessing 😇 to me. I broke my ankle & my daughters suggested crocheting are reading. You are heaven sent for new comers to crocheting because a lot of websites don't do step by step instructions. They will do a few stitches & met you at the end of the chain. All your tutorials are BEAUTIFULLY done. Thanks 😘

I love your voice it's so easy to listen to, you explain very well and I like the way you stay with it not just show a pattern for us to complete on our own. I love this pattern I thought about making squares about the size you did and stitching together like a granny square afghan. I watch both crocheting and cooking, I wish I knew how to knit. Thank you for your videos I enjoy them very much. God Bless you!

Great pattern. Beautiful done in ombre yarn. I used DK yarn and a 5mm hook. It is a lovely baby blanket. I changed the way the starting corner is done and found it much easier. I started with 4ch, 1dc then carried on the round as normal till I got to the end, I then did 1dc 1ch into the same stitch as beginning 4ch, then joined with a slip stitch to the 3rd ch. This way I am in the middle st to start and don't need to ss over 2 St's to get to the middle. Try it , I found it better. Thanks Fiber Spider for all you do for our crochet community

I started a shawl in this great pattern but now I’m thinking that I would have rather done a blanket or throw. I’m left in a quandary of having to decide whether to forget the shawl and do the blanket or finish the shawl and then do a blanket with a different yarn. Either way...thank you so much. I love your tutorials. Your videos are the ones I check out first before I begin a project . You are the very best.

I've tried and tested it and instead of slip stitching to the corner to make the corner spine, you can just chain up to make a double crochet then make 2 unfinished double crochet which makes the 3dc-cluster. Then carry on with the pattern and just ss to the top of the cluster to finish the round.

A suggestion, making the beginning more easy.
why not start with only the 4 'spines' in round 1?
    [4 x (dc, ch1, dc, ch1, dc, ch1)]
and then in round 2 make
    4 x (spine, ch1, 3dctog, ch1, dc in the space between the spines, ch1, 3dctog, ch1).
then you will not have so many stitches in the center of the blanket.
and it will still be starting the same way as the shawl version (which did not have the 3dctog stitches in row 1).
    thanks for great videos :-)

He said it was Red Heart Super Saver; I remember seeing Caron Simply Soft in about that color, too, though, so as long as you adjust the hook size accordingly (I think maybe an I for Caron Simply Soft, and at least a J for Red Heart Super Saver), you should be fine using that color in either yarn.
