Hey, great unboxing man! was waiting for the full review and comparison of this camera though. Hope you come back into reviewing and comparing cameras, you're pretty much the only vlogger out there that makes great camera comparisons. Love it!
A6600 doesn't justify the price. It's a very badly done IBIS, and the only improvement is the battery life and custom buttons. Sensor is the same as a6000 sensor, so pretty weak. Rolling shutter is hilariously bad too. Also depends on the lenses you own. Personally I think the E-mount APS-C is blessed with the Sigma f/1.4 primes, which are far more reliable than anything Fuji has produced, especially for video autofocus. I just ordered an XT4 though, because I need the 10 bit video and dual SD slots for work. Fuji lenses are too pricey, I'll probably not buy too many of it. You can get ff E-mount glass for the same price usually. In video I think Fuji beats Sony hands down with colours and 10 bit codec. In photo, there's no comparison. A7iii beats it by a large margin, just the nature of full frame sensor.
Thumbnail on this one is beautiful, I see what you were on about over on Twitter. Always have a soft spot in my heart for Fujifilm, I just feel like you get so much for a great price with these. Form factor to pixel peeping, it's pretty great.
I'm with you on the strap. I unboxed my XH1 and pulled the strap out, I was like WOWOWOW. It was a nice touch from Fuji. Coming from a Canon user with just the normal black cotton and red stitch.

You captured the XT4 quite well. I started watching you long before you hit 100,000 subscribers. It's good to see the community rewarding you for your hard work ethic and informative videos. I am glad Fuji took the approach of fine tuning the XT3, giving us IBIS, and deliver a solid improvement over the XT3. Its proof that we don't need tons of new features. Sometimes we just nee overall refinement with a small bump specs to deliver solid capabilities.
Everyday Dad, can you please test how hot the camera gets in 4k and at how far into the recording the heat occurs? I've had really bad experiences with hot Fuji cameras, but I want the XT4!
Lukes Photographic UK My Eos R doesn’t, I can keep recording 4k all-intra for days as long as I have storage and battery life haha. That’s weird though, have you tried upgrading your firmware? My friends a7III has never gotten hot. Maybe your Sony just needs a firmware update haha
Hi there. Happened to see your comment about Fujis getting hot when shooting 4K. We've used a fully kitted out XT3 for over a year in Thailand where we were shooting tons of footage and very long takes/production days (DCI 4K at 400mbit per second internal as well as external via HDMI) and never once did we have a heat issue despite the direct sunlight and tropical heat. Our A73 on the other hand, frequently overheats during studio shoots particularly when connected to the Atomos Ninja V - even in cold studio in Sweden.
My favorite part of all your vids is the emphatic “let’s find out” opener. Today’s “ let’s find out” was a little lack luster.... and I’m sad about it🥺

Fuji Fanboy #1 here. This has been a great camera for me so far. Love the bigger IBIS, battery, flip screen (although it's not as nice as the XT-200), and the 240fps slow mo. Thanks for another great video.

This is tempting me to buy one of these. Btw, the flap things you removed when you unboxed the camera are strap lug protectors. They prevent the metal rings from scratching up the side of the camera when it's being lugged around by the straps.
I was really in love with little camera ,and going to get one ,but I will never support again any company that sells product to us without vital accessories for them to work ,like chargers . So I think I ll go for the z6 ,same price and full frame .

I can’t wait for mine to arrive. However the research I have done tells me that there is a huge problem with the Fuji system: all the fast primes have loud, slow, autofocus motors that just aren’t usable for video. That’s going to be tough to put up with after using great primes like Sony’s 24mm f1.4, 55mm f1.8 35mm, 1.5, etc. Fuji - please fix the motors in these lenses!
Luminar 4 offers a free copy for anyone that buys an XT4 in the US (not sure about other country's) and from what I know that's a pretty powerful raw editor so it's a good option if you dont wanna shell out for capture one
I’m gonna get me one of these in about 5 years time! If only for the fancy strap. For now I just have to put up with the leather strap that came with x-t20!
Those things you called weirdest are actually there to protect the camera from those metal strap holder while the camera's inside the box. Just in case something happens while in transit.😄
The little leatherette things that you pulled off the camera strap mounting points are to keep the metal triangles from rubbing on and scratching the body.
Im on the fence here too mate, but Id give the Everyday Dad some more time to fiddle with the camera and tell us more as Im sure he will. Will the Everyday Dad let go of the GH5 for the Fuji XT4? Woooo the suspense!
I’m thinking of getting the XT4 and making my XT3 my second body. Is the size and weight of the XT4 that much more than the XT3? And if I swap back and forth between bodies, are the images similar to the XT3? I was considering the XPRO3 but I think for my needs (portraits & headshots) the XT4 is a better choice. I also use the X100V for my street and environmental portraits. Would you say the XT4 would be a good choice for me? Thanks for any advice!
It might not be perfect, since there´s always room for improvement (unfortunately there´s no room for a FF sensor in there), but this camera gets as close as you can and I think it positions Fujifilm as the indisputable king of APS-C. Great work, as always!
I checked your video to see if the camera comes with a hot shoe cover, and it does! My x-t4 didn’t come with one. I bought it brand new from B&H and I’m suspicious that they sent me like a returned item or something and they didn’t check the camera.

What resolution was the handheld footage at? The heathering in your shirt was a little jittery so can't tell if it was upscaled 1080, the OIS trying too hard, or just RUclips's s*** compression...

My Fuji X-T3 strap is still in the box...I just use the Peak Design clip + PD wrist strap or PD strap. Please tell me if the X-T4 is made in Japan or China.
I only use my strap when I am doing handheld shots that I want to be a little more stable, pull the strap behind my head pull it tight and it does pretty decent
Camera manufacturers making a fully articulated screen a 7th world wonder is sooo discomforting. All cameras can have it, just give them! Stop crippling! Reminds me of Canon taking 24p and the mechanical shutter out of the RP which is such a beautiful camera. THANK YOU FUJI!!!!!

Yeah it's a RUclipsr camera..... for the rest of us you can keep that side hinged screen, it's slow, conspicuous and nearly doubles the width of the camera.
I used the X-H1 and the X-T3 as my workhorses and upgraded to the X-T4 today. What disappointed me after unpacking is that there is no longer a battery charger. Fuji has absolutely saved at the wrong end. This is unworthy and embarrassing for a brand manufacturer.
Nice review. Sold my xt3 a year ago for the eos r. Still feel the Eos R is streets ahead in usability and ergonomics. Doesn't have quite the specs of the xt4 though, but the eos r is so much more fun to use. But still the xt4 is an awesome camera. 🙂

Stabilization is pretty much useless for video. So it's not perfect but still a good camera. Love your Channel.
