Little hint .... It works better if you lift out the plug, tip the powder completely in, pour in the fluid and then push the plug back in and hold it down. Then the reaction occurs INSIDE the pipe which is where it need to be doing the cleaning.

This is what I do, Mix equal amount of salt and baking soda pour down the drain add 1 cup of vinegar wait 30 min, pour very hot water . . I do this to all my drains works all the time
Baking soda and white distillef Vinegar is my go to
Dont use vinegar on Morbol or wood.

Simple and adequate for the purpose
A fabulous product I use on my old sink stains is Tilex mold and mildew spray. It make my sink took amazing and I dont need to replace it after using this product to remove stains
2:14 There is a " cleaning strength " white vinegar , I believe at 5 % acidity ? Just a little more than regular white vinegar , but said to be the best than the regular vinegar.

Our cleaning lady that cleans our apt complextold me to put ice cubes into the garbage disposal drain and turn it on. I did it 3x times and boy was she right the smell from the garbage disposal drain gone, zip, zero none. We all have ice cubes at home vs a lemon try ice cubes first save yourself a trip to the grocery for a lemon in this pandemic! Try it ice cubes in the disposal turn it on crushing the do it 2-3 x and the smell zip, nada , gone. Who wants to go out during a pandemic for a lemon when the ice cubs crushed - we all have ice cubes on hand!
Ice cubes also sharpen the blades.

@@lettiegrant9447 I appreciate Andres tips or I would not be sub to her channel. For me I don’t have a lemon just handy it was a quick fix of the odor . Yes, I will get a lemon and use it on every once in awhile now going forward to keep it smelling fresh. Yes it does sharpen the blades. I have used her tips numerous times even come here using the search section frequently as well. It was during pandemic I lived in one of the top three highest Covid infections this worked great
My grandmother taught me the boiling hot water technique. It definitely works! It dissolves the toothpaste and other residue that is often the root cause of bathroom sink clogs. The hot water may need to be repeated 2-3 times if the clog is really tough.
Sounds like we need more patience and we should let time work it's magic.

I use pots of boiling water to regularly keep both bathroom sink tub & kitchen sink clear. Add the baking soda & vinegar too. Hot water every couple of weeks will keep your drains clear. People need mesh drains in their showers but they don’t fit in newer renovated bathrooms.

I was hoping you would show us how to use that drain snake
Drain snake is easy to use. You just gently put it down your drain and hold onto the 2 finger holes at top while you raise and lower the snake to help snag some hair in the drain. Then pull the snake back to remove the hair to the garbage. Repeat until there are no mire clumps of hair on your snake. Then clean your snake off before Re-storing it. I use mine about every 2 weeks in the shower and bathroom sink (I have 2 long haired adults in home). So far it has lasted about 6 months from the set of 2 I bought at Walmart fir about $10. No more draining for me! Snakes work great!

What I do along with what you said is add a 1/4 cup of Bertolli Olive Oil,1 Vine Ripe Tomato, Half Cucumber and some Iceberg Lettuce into Garbage Disposal and you have yourself a nice Chopped Salad

I tried both it these methods on my bathroom sink that was clog really bad and neither of them worked!
Need to remove P-trap and clean,and use regular snake,buy in Home Depot,snake the pipe going inside the wall.
I live in an old apartment building, by bathroom sink drain gets stopped up about every 3 weeks and the maintenance man plunges it. The drain is filled with calcium deposits, I never wash my hair in the sink. They don’t even run a snake down it. I have tried the baking soda vinegar, hot water but it does not work. I’m sure this sink needs a license plumber to fix it permanently. Does Draino work on clogs like this?
1/2 cup baking soda, 1/2 cup table salt and 1 cup vinegar will also kill drain gnats and their eggs. Let sit overnight and then in the morning flush with boiling water. Believe me it works, but you must do it every night for 14 days.
Why can't they design a different pea trap...instead of it being a u shape how about a slope...like 90°

@James Codling well of course on paper it means something you have to take a test in most States pass and become a master plumber but it's the difference of a newfound white belt with a small mark on it and a black belt with a lot of experience. Even some states require that a journeyman plumber be that for at least five years before they can even take the test for a master plumber
Plumbers love these videos. Keeps them in business. Boiling water will ruin piping and baking soda will clog it for sure. Vinegar and baking soda cancel each other out so it doesn't make sense.

Please don't use a plunger to unclog your sink. It could damage your plumbing. There are other safer ways to unclog your sink that you can find here on RUclips.
