I recently watched a video of a country that gets slammed with all of our old clothes.. the river literally had clothes covering the entire top of it! It made me sick to my stomach and I decided I wanted to upcycle my clothes! Now I am seeing SO many others doing the same and it warms my heart! Any little bit helps out mother Earth as well as making some amazing new clothes!! 🤩

What I like about your upcycles is that it appears to be something for everyone. Some of the things, I absolutely will not wear, while other items I think are absolutely adorable. I have never been a fan of high fashion runway styles, but you totally make it work.

One very fortunate day, while I was perusing RUclips, I came upon (yet more likely Divinely sent to) your fabulous channel. I have been so inspired by you, your videos and all the Facebook posts, that I am converting my office/spare bedroom in my apartment (which was NOT being used) into my Studio. Thirty years ago I had a studio.... and I'm thrilled to have the energy and time to embrace my semi-retirement with a new zest for getting back into my creative side. Your last video on your closet-remake and this 58-Ideas video are just what I needed for pushing past the thoughts "it's hard" and hearing your encouraging voice telling me "I can do it anyway." Throw back to the 1980's... you should re-create the 2 toned jeans that were so popular (i.e. blue in the front, black on the backside). Super simple but so much fun!
I started your Ivy Park x Adi pants tutorial last year and sewed the crotch inside out. 🤦🏾♀️ I took them apart and left the pieces in a bag on top of my sewing machine case. I'm feeling inspired to revisit them this month though. The no sew slack shorts were super cute too! definitely want to try those 💛
You won me with the backpack coat. I’m a 90s kid so I constantly tie my long sleeves (which I only buy cause I love rolling up my sleeves) around my waist and this gives me that vibe HARD. Yay

Let me say you are a definite inspiration to me. I've been sewing since I was 12 and selling merchandise since 15 with my single Mom who was a jack of all trades with 4 kids. What struck me the most about you was your total willingness to share your obvious talents & creativity with ALL. I never could figure out why people were unwilling to share ideas and info with there fellow man/women and trust me I've been on that end of that stick several times. Fortunately, other people's attitude only made me stronger and wiser through the years. Fast forward, I started doing HT (heat transfer) T-shirts several months ago but HT's can get pretty expensive, and I was at a lost what to do with my T-shirts which would be inexpensive. Lo and behold your video popped up and I've been hooked ever since.....addicted, if the truth be told. I even resurrected my sewing machine & ordered a upright mannequin so that I could start creating yours and my own ideas and I have plenty. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for making my day and LIFE. You are Truly Blessed and a Blessing.

I have a London Fog trenchcoat that I bought last year, and never got around to altering it, so it was in my "return to the thriftstore" after I found an even better one that fits well. But, after watching this video, I was reminded of those trenchcoat remodels you did, so I might pull it and reconsider turning it into a cropped jacket and skirt! ETA: Forgot to mention that I love your hair; it always looks good IMO, but I can see why you like how it turned out for this video.
I so love your channel. You have inspired me to upcycle my gra'mom's church suits. She was that bad a d boogie lady with the extravagant hats and suits on Sunday Mornings. But she went home to glory last fall in September. And I have just began combing through her walk in. And can I say I am in fashion heaven right now? I don't have a specific upcycle I want to do, but each tutorial I watch helps me envision what I want to try with my clothes. Due to long term illness, I cannot wear tight clothes, so spandex and skinny jeans have been a no-go for years. I'm figuring out how to make comfortable jeans and pants that look like I have a unique style and not like I just don't care. Ha! Goals for 2021!!

I so love your channel. You have inspired me to upcycle my gra'mom's church suits. She was that bad a d boogie lady with the extravagant hats and suits on Sunday Mornings. But she went home to glory last fall in September. And I have just began combing through her walk in. And can I say I am in fashion heaven right now?
So I will be using a lot of your tutorials, because I want to get away from fast fashion, and because I am a designer.

I don't have a specific upcycle I want to do, but each tutorial I watch helps me envision what I want to try with my clothes. Due to long term illness, I cannot wear tight clothes, so spandex and skinny jeans have been a no-go for years. I'm figuring out how to make comfortable jeans and pants that look like I have a unique style and not like I just don't care. Ha! Goals for 2021!!
