This was too long and became boring, I saw Narnia on tv a couple of years later, it would have been a better choice.
jay- dee-007 the movie already had a long duration & this happening would have cost more time in the end, and quite frankly the underwater part is done kinda badly
Dakota Evers as a fan of the video game I was disappointed that they cut this scene there were a few creatures in this scene that you face in the game and also you go through a swamp
i haven't seen every deleted scene from this movie. but this one, why did they decide to not keep this in? it adds to how different the creatures are on that island and the scale of how big they are. plus it's a really good scene. i love this movie, would have loved if it had been longer and we got to see more of.....everything there really
The CGI is noticeably worse than the rest of the movie. The underwater parts look ridiculous and the fish looks like an incomplete render, not fully texturized. Its clear once they knew it wasn't going to be put in the theatrical cut, they just left it as is and moved on.
@@samuelgeaney7556i wouldn’t say it adds nothing if there’s people dying. when you watch the normal person and suddenly there’s crew members missing, it creates a plot hole or confusion. but to be fair you probably wouldn’t even notice since they were not even given names as far i know
To me this scene is great for a few reasons. CGI being well done especially for 2005, not having a "Red Shirt" boat, and like most large predators, the fish doesn't kill you on contact when biting you. You have plenty of time to suffer on the way out making it far worse.
Yeah I hate the red shirt trope. Each boat had important characters on them and I think it's cool that when you see the fish lift up the first one, you assume everyone on it is going to die but then it's revealed Adrian Brody is on that one.
Acho que a parte em baixo d´água não ficou legal. Dá pra ver claramente que eles estão fingindo kkkk E o CGI não ficou legal também. Ia destoar do restante do filme.
Peter jackson's kong got more adventure vibes to it better than skull island, we got introduced to the island's hostile creatures 1 by 1 and we got to see way more dangers. That's why it's more iconic and more memorable IMO.

@Lightspeed Retro The different areas of the world would look a little similar to those today. The difference between the biome would be the climate (which was warmer in many places) and the constituents. The vegetation was somewhat different, e.g.. no flowering plants the place of which was filled with ferns, but fulfilled the same role. The trees were coniferous much like today, with fossils of redwoods, yews, pines, and many more being found. The animals filled similar niches to what we see in environments today. For example, some parts of the Jurassic biome would look quite like a Savannah in Africa (without grass as it hadn't evolved yet), medium-sized carnivores (relative to larger species that evolved later) such as Allosaurus would perform a similar role to lions (i.e. pack ambush predators smaller than their prey), with sauropod species (and other herbivorous dinosaurs) like Diplodocus filling the role of the wandering herbivores (like wildebeest etc). Some insects were quite large during this time compared to now, but much smaller when compared to earlier periods in Earth's history. Oxygen levels had decreased since then, and this is the fundamental limit on the size of arthropods on land as they breath through small holes in their exoskeleton and do not have lungs to facilitate oxygen exchange, though quite a few species also have gills (crustaceans etc). You can basically take any biome be it forest, sea, or plains etc and assume that different species would fill the same role, as they do now. The species then were larger yes, but I don't think the world would be any more hostile or alien than it is today (which is quite a bit). Most of the larger species were herbivorous, though in aquatic environments there were giant marine reptiles, giant crocodilians, giant fish species (Dunkleosteus was pretty terrifying though existed in the Devonian). I think the sea would be far more terrifying than the land concerning such times.
Oli DR even now the sea is pretty terrifying. We’ve probably only actually explored 30% of it. I wonder what is the deepest point world wide and has anything or anyone explored it.
Shin Wolford the amount of ferocity to take down one of these larger animals would definitely mean the animals were built for ripping and tearing on a scale different than anything we see, and more terrifying at that. I assume that’s what the guy meant, which is indeed true.

@@thegoodfather1177 the water is way too clear for a swamp water filled with bunch of algae on top. You can't even see the bottom of it meanwhile while underwater, you can clearly see objects 5-10 meters away. And the scenes also lack on details as you can see while the piranhadon chasing the main character. It's so clean not even a bubble or muds were floating around the character. It kinda ruined the atmosphere (dangerous swampy water). Also, the camera works looks way too calm for such an intense moments it kinda makes it looks so lame instead. And if you swim underwater, you don't move in slow motion. You'll be moving in normal speed with more preassure. And it is not the same with moving in slow motion. You can find a bunch of movies with intense underwater scenes and you can clearly see the flaws in this scenes without even know the basics of movie making. The eiditing also got some flaws. This is the most legitemate and terrifying Skull Island ever constructed; the entirety of the biome exists almost exclusively to slaughter
It's definitely the neighborhood your mother doesn't want you in.
@Lightspeed Retro
The different areas of the world would look a little similar to those today.
@@renegadeblade2673 lol
Oli DR even now the sea is pretty terrifying. We’ve probably only actually explored 30% of it. I wonder what is the deepest point world wide and has anything or anyone explored it.
