    Wow what a fantastic set up I am so impressed. I didn't know that spad was taken over by another developer.Glad I came over your videos man as I purchased a new computer just for flightsim and its been a nightmare trying to set up my sim which uses the old spad great but my flight instrument panels using Saitek drivers are conflicting with spad.Thank you so much for posting this amazing video and I cant believe you have no comments. You are a star.

      Thanks for the kind words. And actually spad.next was created completely from scratch and is completely separate from the original spad. It is Totally different platform and from separate creators. I used the original spad too, (before spad.next came out), and it was far better than the normal Saitek drivers, but nowhere near as advanced and customizable as spad.next.

    Hello,
    Thank you for your videos!
    I currently have the Saitek Multi Panel with the application SPAD.Next 0.9.6.25 and P3D.
    When I run P3D anything works but the multi panel when I change altitude for example, it changes in P3D but not in the display of the multi panel.
    Could you please help me with that?
    Thank you !

I'm thinking of getting back into flight sims again but with an actual cockpit of sorts... I'd appreciate any help... and again, your video is awesome! Very Inspiring! Thank You

All the other panels work fine and I have tried lots of different USB slots its also a direct connection not through a hub of extension. Running FS2020 am flummoxed

    I love how the attitude indicator changed when you changed the aircraft form Cessna to the B 737. Does that happen automatically with the Saitek instruments or did you have to set this up?

    • @vadermike7772

      plsniper It is not automatic with the default Saitek drivers, but it is automatic when switching between spad.next profiles. And you get to choose which aircraft to bind to which profile. Including which gauges are displayed on each Fip for each profile.

    Hi, GREAT video's and impressive setup there... thanks for showing us around your rig and sharing your knowledge on the implementation of SPAD... very informative.... I received two Logitech radio panels yesterday and ran into, what I have since learned, is a known issue concerning the MMR version of the NAV radio in the 737-800 Zibo. In short, there are two versions available... an old-style panel which uses rotary knobs and a multi-mode receiver (MMR) version which has keypad style input keys. If the MMR version is present, the Logitech Radio Panel physically changes the frequency in the aircraft but does not (repeat, does not) update the frequency displayed in the NAV radio in the cockpit. Just to clarify, everything works properly if the alternative 'old-style' version is present, thus an issue with the input style... knobs versus keypad buttons? Wondering of you have encountered this issue and if so, if you have resolved it?

    • @vadermike7772
      @vadermike7772  3 года назад

    Great video! Need help, I just bought a Saitek Radio Panel for my MS FSX all bottoms work well except for Nav2. Ok, Nav1 shows a reading when select a VOR frequency as well as DME, but Nav2 doesn't show a reading on DME. Seller sets problem has to do with my drivers. Don't agreed with seller because if Nav1 DME works fine don't see why Nav2 DME doesn't. Any advice?

    • @vadermike7772
      @vadermike7772  4 года назад

      Are you using spad.next? Or are you using the regular drivers that come with the unit? If you are using spad.next,perhsps the dme variable for dme2 is incorrect. If you are using the normal drivers out of the box (without spad), then it is probably a problem with your unit. (as the variables are not configurable with normal saitek drivers)

      You are correct, I did land on the displaced threshold, haha! I didnt even notice that until I re-watched the video just now. At the time I made the video, I was more focused on showcasing the features of spad.next rather than proper flying technique, but good catch! As for the equipment not being available in your area, try ordering online at ebay or other online sites.

    • @vadermike7772

      I am using an orico 9-port, an insignia 4-port, and an insignia 7-port. At first, I tried a cheap USB hub bought on Ebay from China. The thing worked fine for mice and keyboards and stuff, but not for FIPS or for my panels. Even though the china hub was powered, it wasn't supplying enough power which rendered it useless to me. My new USB hubs work like a charm. Of course there are other vendors out there just as good, but these are the specific ones I use.

    Can you implement Spad.next to run a Saitek instrument panel as it was designed with the original drivers as I like the option buttons on the side that gives you Atc ext.I Love the boeing 737 800 but I don't see any profiles for it on Spad.

    • @vadermike7772
      @vadermike7772  7 лет назад

      Yes, you can assign any buttons you want to the FIPS, and use it much like the saitek drivers, but with even more functionallity. Just keep in mind you cant use both the siatek drivers and spad.next at the same time as there will be conflicts. I have a bunch more videos I want to make, but I just dont have the time right now.

    Why are all of the Multi Panel's autopilot lights blinking at 14:03? There's not a single autopilot in the real world that behaves that way, because every lateral/vertical mode cannot possibly be active (or armed) at the same time.

    • @vadermike7772
      @vadermike7772  2 года назад +1

      Check out my Multipanel video, which will answer your question in detail. I have various settings for the the multipanel buttons where they will start blinking based on certain criterial. (overspeed for example, or gear up below a certain airspeed), amoungst others. It does not effect the actual button functionality, nor does it mean that every mode is active at the same time. It just means there is some type of "warning" criteria going on.

    Why in god's name do you need two yokes for a flight sim? :-o

    • @vadermike7772
      @vadermike7772  3 года назад

      Actually, it happened completely by accident. I had one yoke for many years. I wanted to get rudder peddles for my sim, and I came across a great deal on a used saitek combo set, that included a siatek yoke, throttle quadrant, and rudder peddles. The entire set was cheaper than what it would have cost me to buy the rudders on their own, and it included a throttle quad, so it was a no brainer for me. I didn't need a second yoke at all, but since I had it, I added it to the sim.
