Just ordered the yoke and throttle, the landing gear instrument panel and the rudder. Here today and tomorrow!!! Soooooo excited
watching this in 2020 is really kinda making me feel old and im not lmao
Well done on the demo. The Instrument, Radio, Switch Panel and AFCS modules, in addition to the Pro pedals, look as though they will also complement the X65F stick and dual-throttle set, as well; positions will of course need to be adjusted for a stick-and-rudder single seater configuration.
I wonder which is cheaper - this setup, or a real Cessna
Old PC Gaming not funny, get better material, and Cessna 172 from the 80s cost like 50 grand, not much for a plane
d0rkyspo0n dont you get a joke
The PC is cheaper if you crash it...
It’s a joke people
This set up
Absolute great video
All awesome gear, really improves any sim experience.
However if I could make only one suggestion, it would be to reinforce or redesign the threaded mounting holes on the Pro Flight Throttle Quadrant.
I found them really quite flimsy, not to mention the given screws where too short, although the latter could have just been a mix up in packing.
Me personally, I'd like to see the addition of fixed metallic nuts in the mounts to engage the screws rather than the plastic molded threads. It's a top notch idea to have the clamp configurable like that, the hardware just needs to be made a bit stronger.
If there is a more official avenue of suggestion I could use, please let me know. In any case, keep the awesome ideas coming.
Nice Setup!
TheNorthernAlex hello
@@alprin8098 hello
It's AMAIZING!!!
Thank you very much !!!! :D
man thats so neat i would love to have those
hi there lovely review just got a yoke my self
wondering how can i change the blue and red levers to flaps and spoilers?
thanks so much
Thats cool, i like the multipanel and switchpanel.
How did you get the blue LED in the rudderpedals burning
Nice video ... nice to see what most of us want . I have the yolk and pedals but wish I could afford to get the rest . My wife wont let me ... she dont understand the important things in life .
great video!!
How are you overcoming the conflicting axis XYZ on the USB Quad and the XY axis on the yoke?
I love brits voices when they do video game voice overs.
the yoke and the first quadrant are merged when u connect the second one, the "yoke"
in the settings is the yoke and first quadrant and "quadrant" is the second. Jason
Worked with it for about 6 hours over a few days, had problems with programming staying, issues with axis adjustment...etc...just overall a poor unit for realistic flight..I even have the Airbus pkg ( which uses a joystick ) and still had too many probs..returned it and got the Yoke and throttle quad ( it's not that great either ) am now waiting for some CH products gear. will let you know what happens..thanks for your suggestions
This is my 11th time watching
Thats amazing I really want one, but I have a question is this Flight Yoke the best one available on the market at the moment? And is the Saitek Pro Flight X52 the best Joystick available at the moment as well?
does the saitek pro flight panel work with DCS series ? nice setup by the way !
did u try? hi from the future xD
awsome video how much because im thinking of buying one and where thanks
@malakius .... yeah right .... looking forward to seeing your setup on here . ..... Mr " tell everyone how to live " .
Got a feeling we are going to wait a long long time .
Thanks for posting this video.
I brought this from PC World on Wednesday, and the problem I'm having is mainly on the yoke. Thrust levers work great.
I appreciate it's not supposed to output an extremely realistic feel, but what I don't understand is why there are unstable sensitivities on the yoke, in that if the yoke is steered to the right to the very slightest and the plane responds correctly by turning right, why then is it that when I try to turn the wheel to the left (to the same degree), the plane does not respond. If I try to turn the plane left very slightly, I have to keep moving the yoke to the left more and more until an almost immediate response is given by the plane - a sharp jerk to the left.
It's the same with pull-up and depressed elevators. When I depress the yoke very slightly, the plane's nose begins to droop down, but if I try to pull up very slightly, nothing happens. The nose will only rise if I pull the yoke about 1-2cm from relaxed position. I'm thinking this is a hardware fault, so I'm returning it tomorrow. Not happy with it one bit. The feel of it was incredible, only let down by poor unstable programming.
hello from the future. xD
How where you able to get both throttles to work together? I have purchased 2 as well to make a throttle quadrant but was unable to have both working at same time
3:34 About the metal shaft... I've got the full Saitek Pro flight setup :)
And I've started to feel that the metal shaft in the rudder has started to "stick" when I try to pull it gently.
Is there a way to maintain it, like lubrication or something?
this is the kind of setup id like to have. is that a tv as a monitor that you're using?
it seems to work just fine for me
The included quadrant with the PZ44 yoke system is PS/2 while the individual PZ45 quadrant is USB. The knobs also come off pretty easily so you can arrange them stacked as in the video (black/black, Blue/Blue, Red/Red). Wish you could lock pairs somehow though. In fair weather, I'm rarely trimming engines separately.
If starting this setup, start with the switch panel and radio then grow from there. And of course, 3 screens or more! (one isn't ultimate)
What kind of support stand did you used for the control panels?
They are called thrust levers and yes, it is.
@chrisv0007 Thanks! I think i will buy an i5 sometime, the i7 costs like 250 pounds, so I think I will take the i5.. do you know if I can just replace my current CPU for an i5? I now have AMD Athlon X2 or sth. Thanks again for helping me out mate :)
I'm looking for a flight yoke. Saw at 3:40 there's a catch at the dead zone. Did you ever get rid of that in your design? That's a deal breaker for me.
Where is the throttle?? Is it that 2 blue and red things??
@chrisv0007 thanks for reply! I know it is money worth spending, sure, but well my budget, if there is one, is very limited.. I'm buying the yokesystem+pedals coming week, but then that's all I can spend for this year, next year I will buy the switch panel+extra throttle quadrant.. My second problem, don't know if you can help me, is that my FPS in FSX are very low, around 10, what should I buy to improve, new graph card or new CPU? Thanks again for reply, cheers!
@Akkadiandude , I'm a CFI and agree with JustAnOrdinary simmer's comments, home flight sims have limited use for learning to fly VFR. Here's what I would do if you're interested in a carreer in aviation: find a local airport with a flight school / FBO, get your parents to drop you off there on Saturdays and try to work for the school washing airplanes, moving planes around, working dispatch, whatever they need done. Arrange it so you get paid in flight time with an instructor.
I got it all fixed now...the yoke and quad are by far much better...now to add some stuff from GoFlight or Flight deck solutions and a couple of Saitek Modules..it's coming together and working well, a couple of the real good sim builders on here have great videos as well as websites where you can get plans and FAQs on all equipment..if you want their links let me know..they also answer email questions and offer great advice, and you should see their set ups
I would get the Products by CH, i returned the X52 Set and bought the Saitek Yoke and throttle set, it works ok but the throttle slides are unstable and the yoke has problems. I just ordered a CH products setup..will let you know how that is
how do I attach the second throttle quadrant? Thanks
@feizjassim. You need to connect the trottle to the yoke and need to put it correctly in place
3:36. Well, that's good to know about the yoke--it does not stick! All this time, I thought it would stick. I like it to be smooth like my Saitek X52!
hello, I wanna know how did you assemble two throttle together thank you !!
This is late but all throttles have a mounting point on the side it is a small circle that on each side gos in or out then you can mount them.
New MS Flight Simulator launching tomorrow 2020-08-18 and this stuff becomes relevant again!
What are the secs of the computer used to run all that? I hope mine can handle it because that's gonna be my setup as soon as can afford it all.
have you changed the sensibility and dead point configurations? spmetimes u need to chenge the options cos fsx gives dead margin of movement and sometimes reverses or low thrut settings cant be set cos the lever is on the dead zone
I recently bought my second instrument panel and hooked it up, seemed fine but after about 30 mins I changed to a new gauge and the previous one had burned onto the screen. The other panel i recently purchased doesn't do this, so I left it for 40 mins and the burn had gone, wondering if this is perhaps normal, It is very noticeable, Just thinking whether I should make an exchange? What do you guys think?
I like the panel, but I do think that the radio and the autopilot digits are too big maybe half the size would be for me much better, but that's just my opinion. Thanks for the video guys.
the second quadrant has a USB connector. When you buy the quadrant make sure you get the Saitek Three Lever Pro Throttle Quadrant (PZ45)
i have the yoke switch pane and rudder pedals but for sume reason i have only just noticed after watching this video my pedals dont have a blue light in the middle it just says saitek
hi for everybody, the people who has the saitek yoke have had trooubles with the elevator trim? I think that it is very sensity and if somebody knows about a setting to solve this trouble I would appreciate the help.
how many usb ports for this setup? im planning to buy the entire set up but idk how many usb ports will i need.
13 usb ports needed
@@weecraigy26 Wow, that's a lot but ok for payout.
ok...so enlighten us..what company is CH ?, i would really like to see the products. Thanks
yes...I changed sensibility and bought a different setup : >) LOL...J/K i know you meant sensitivity..returned the X52 got the yoke and throttle quadrant and just for comparison sake got my hands on as CH $140 yoke for $60...it is much more responsive and I am having no trouble with flight or landings on any of the aircraft, once I get used to the program I'll continue with the Flight Deck...thanks for your suggestions .
For the yoke and throttle quadrant
I wouldn't necessarily call it the "ultimate setup", but its definitely a pretty good looking setup for the average enthusiast. Fly on gentlemen.
@OrbitTV1 : Better than a joystick though, right? Without a physical trim lock it's just going to return to center. There's digital trim we should use (I use the B1/B2), but whatever works. Shouldn't do that in auto pilot though but maybe in manual. No insult, but it might just be user error. Hands off and it should center.
One trick I'm using is to put a zip-tie on the yoke shaft. If you need nose up on a decent, pull back, move the zip, and helps just a bit.
How did you set up the clock on the yoke?:) I've tried, but haven't been able to. Please answer!
How do you calibrate the Saitek throttle quadrant? Congratulations for the cockpit.
If you`ve installed the drivers from the saitek dvd you can start FSX. From that park go to settings=>controls and from there you can add commands on certain saitek functions.
Good. The set is operating normally. BIP only stopped working.
How do you attach the 2nd quadrant to the yoke? I thought there was only 1 input for 1 quadrant?
@Akkadiandude At 15, simulation is really the only practice you can get, for that I reccomend Xplane 9 or FSX (but if you use fsx, I would also get some payware aircraft for more realistic dynamics), but ina few months when you turn 16 you are eligible for a student pilot certificate and can begin flight training. Contact your local airport for information on nearby flight schools
I can't believe that Saitek have not developed their own TrackIR headset, to compete with (and improve) NaturalPoint's idea. TrackIR is a very popular "module" for flightsim fanatics and it would complete their lineup for human computer flight sim interfaces.
how do u make the throttle bit to gether for a twin engine
I have a throttle quadrant that has a handle broken off, where can I get a new one and how would I put it on?
Which simulator is it?
Flight simulator x gold edition or flight simulator x deluxe edition?
hey, maybe it's good to ask you , you just said that you bought 6 instrument panels can you please mention the price of all of those six panels ? because i just saw on amazon and it costs 149 us dollar and this guy said that you have o buy it individually .. so it's gonna cost me around 894 us dollar? please don't hesitate to answer it and happy flyig with your saitek cockpit ! :)
How many USB ports you needed?
@jusm11 It was my understanding that to be logged it had to be flown while you held a student certificate, but recently someone told me that once you get it you can log flights retroactive to when you started flying. I don't know which is correct as the people at your flight school or see the faa.gov
Sweet !
I have a sitek pro yoke pedal and controls but would like to go further and looking for a sight where they sell the rest of the instrument.
tks Robet
go to Amazon, they got them all.
Thank you for the info.
can i substitute all those panel with a Samsung Touch screen tablet??
Hello i have questions about the throttle quadrant on the far left quadrant i use the blue hat for the spoilers and i clicked reverse so it sits at 100. When i land i pull it down as normal but once i'm finished with them i put it back up and the spoilers stay where they are. please help. Also on the throttle (mmy middle quadrant) after 0 you have the red lines. I use them as reverse thrust but in order to use them i have to move it back and forth (i will carry on on another message
how do you set up the throttle quadrant for 2 engines ?
Does anyone know how to help me set one of these up, I'm in Liverpool, Ive bought all the gear and got no idea? 🤔
You in the gear into your pc/laptop via usb and download the drivers at saitek
@delio182 And how does one suggest we go out and do that?
so how much money is it for all six of them at 1:45? when you say sold separately do you mean you pay gthe £114 or what ever for all six of them or just for 1?
is the usb connection to the panel but the instruments??? :)
@tinyman12323 What stage are you at in your PPL course? Are you in America?
My yoke's still smooth too. And they have more panels coming out!
@WinTeX: will try now that I seen this. Those are Saitek side-by-side. Might be able to just use a PS/2-to-USB adapter for the 2nd and re-arrange the knobs like they did. If not, this is development only.
what is cost of this and do u sale worldwide
can someone advise me of what usb hub to use because i have brought and i can only get half of the gauges to run ?
I have almoet all the saitek stuff running on one system but only have 4 usb outs so need to use hubs. but buying one that has the power to run is a mine field
I have one problem with my rudder peadals, when i set the axis brake. as te push down on the peadals. it just says as that when i let go in game. and i would have to restart flight. any idead how i let go of the rudders and then the brakes will let go?
Great thanks a lot! So its just plug in, change throttle settings and away :)
@sonofrock97 actually, you can get higher fidelity with a single touchscreen
so how much would be evrything to get one like that!! i want one too i have the fsx demo and im trying to do the caribbean landing without any instruments i just use the mouse in the arrows to control the yolk but its vey hard whenever i try to land in the runway alway get out of there!!
@2011skaterblue No, if you have 1, the one throttle will control all engines, propellers.
Its getting better, hope it's affordable.
BAAAAH! I JUST GOT THE YOKE SYSTEM!! THE NEW ONE! (by new I mean fixed)
Would the yoke and pedals work on fs2004
Do you get 6 panels or 1 panel for the $150 price? please answer!
got the instruments for the six-pack out of order. Airspeed, Attitude, Altitude above Turn Coordinator, Heading, VSI from left to right :P
Is it posible to have throttle, flaps and spoilers and not mix and prop?
Luka T yea you can set up everything how you choose
@ocseong818 100% agree. What a major oversight! I'd trade the turn coordinator for the VOR receiver in a heartbeat (but I'd clearly like to have both). What a weird and sad omission especially when you consider that it looks like all the hardware to make it work is already part of the displays.
@WhiteCProduction qhen you bought it how much money was it and how much instrument panels did you get? because on the website it say something like £124 ANd i tought £124 for 1 instrument panel is a rip off so how many did you get for how much money (If you bought it i dollars, or any other currency tell me the currency and I will convert it to GBP
I agree. Saitek also needs to support X-Plane for their gauages and panels.
can i set this up on my laptop
Best Buy doesn't carry them anymore... Where can you get it in a store (Not online?)
Yes, same here.
how can I attach the panels to the throttle quadrant??????????
Hi Please can you show how to check configuration an AV8R-02 to PC, and then configure it to IL2 Cliffs of Dover. Thanks.
Does all this work on mac if bootcamp to windows?
I like setup
