      The tyson of the night he fought spinks would have finished off foreman fighting Ron Lyle/
      the posiiton lyle got foreman in ,who, incidentally had gil clancey in his corner so foreman was still in prime ability,
      tyson would have finished off foreman,
      lyle didnt have the same finishing capabilities as tyson.

      I watched 'em all, starting in the '60s. Ali, Frazier, Norton, Foreman, Holmes, Tyson, you name 'em. You guys got to remember, styles make fights. Fighter A might beat fighter B, and fighter B might beat fighter C, but fighter C might be able to beat fighter A. I watched Tyson from day 1, and he was one of the most devastating punchers I had ever seen. Very exciting to watch. You just knew there would be blood. One of my favorite fighters of all time. Then there's Foreman. Tall, strong, a pure puncher with some decent boxing skills. Here's my opinion about a matchup between the 2, both in their prime:
      Foreman by KO early. Mike's style was just made to order for George, and George wouldn't be intimidated by Mike. He would keep Mike away with his long arms and pick his shots. Mike would be swinging furiously and hit nothing but air. Then - BOOM! Out go the lights. Anybody who doubts that this would happen, I suggest you watch the 2 Foreman vs. Frazier fights. Frazier and Tyson had very similar styles, were about the same size, and both could punch with authority. And don't forget who handed Tyson his first loss, another tall, strong puncher by the name of Buster Douglas.

    • @fadethetrade
      @fadethetrade 9 лет назад +1

      and don't forget, tyson was fighting at 30% of his 88 posture.
      You see, styles do make fights but so do 100% commitments!!
      Tyson didnt make the committment anymore after 1988.
      A little vs ruddock with giachetti but that was it.
      douglas didnt impress at all before and after tokyo proving it was a fluke.
      tysons style barely lost a minute of ANY round vs boxers becasue his style excelled vs boxers in his prime posture of 86-88.
      The only fella that had the best chance was young foreman, POWER. that's it, not boxers,
      The jab and right hand and clinch doesnt beat the prime tyson of 87-88.
      But ANY fighter with ZERO defense like foreman ,tyson had no probems smacking all over the ring. foreman would be PUMMELLED by the younger tyson, the speed would shock slow foreman. He'd smack george all over JUST AS LYLE DID<
      Lyle was nothing!couldnt even beat 199 lb jerry Quarry! You've been corrected.

    This was Tyson's favourite KO. Let me tell you why from me, a boxer who has knockout power. One punch knockouts get boring after awhile. When we meet a granite chin, we could practise them bombs for real. There is no better feeling than this

    BRUTAL!! HOW Thomas took them shots to the dome, GOD only knows. Mike was FEROCIOUS backinaday man! Can't think of 1 HW 2day, bar V. Klitshcko who could take more than 2 or 3 like that without actually going down! AWESOME...

  • @CajunRulez
    @CajunRulez 6 лет назад +2

    Holy Hell. Tyson was an animal. No other HW in history punched with that many quick, explosive consecutive shots. Every punch was meant to destroy his opponent. Every time I watch this KO I hurt for Pinklon Thomas.

      I feel this commentator is fake and not live. He was on the Berbick fight on here but I know the original announcers were Ray Leonard, Barry Tomkins, and Larry Merchant.

      @@nazur72 yes he was there. His name id Bob Sheridan and this fight, like many others, was simulcast by HBO (Leonard, Tompkins, and Merchant), and Don King Productions, Sheridan's employer. Sheridan has called many championship fights, including The Rumble in the Jungle between Ali and Foreman.

    Not only his tremendous chin -- but Pinklon had steel balls, to get up to his feet after that assault, whereas 99.9 % of people on planet earth - would be dead, concussed or shell-shocked. magnificent courage, i salute u !

    PT took the fight with a shoulder injury He took some thunderous shots which would of laid out many men. Mike Tyson was such a vicious puncher, fast, powerful and precise. I doubt we’ll ever see someone who can throw hands like MT

    You've got to rate Thomas for having such a granite chin. In the end he went down but with Tyson teeing off on him what do you expect ? Tyson had to put everything into about 16 punches to get him out of there. Thomas had never been down before or since - respect !

    lol u dont have to tell me to watch the fights. I followed EVERY SINGLE one of tysons fights closely leading up to the buster douglas loss. I dont "blindly love mr tyson" and yes, i do understand boxing. If you werent just another one of them tyson bashers you would see that he DID throw punches in bunches, he DID punish openings, he WAS lightning fast, his defence WAS flawless and his stamina WAS top notch. All the tools to make a great boxer. But you wouldn't understand.

    Pinklon took all those punches before going down when most guys would’ve gone down after one or two of those punches. A very durable guy. After all, I heard this was the first and only time he got knocked down and out.

    RIP Joe Frazier. Long life to Mike Tyson, George Foreman, and Muhamad Ali...
    As always, listen to the SOUND... You'll heard why some punch are more devastating than others, just because you heard them, above the crowd and speaker sound. In every Tyson's match, you can do the same. At one time, there is 2 sounds, louder thant everything else, and then, the opponent is a dead man walking... That power sound in punching is a trademark of some punchers
