I recently done the timing on my z19dt vectra and followed your video but now I’m having a ticking issue, I’ve redone the timing belt a couple times but the ticking is still there, I’m thinking my cam timing may be off as counterholding the cam sprocket didn’t go as planned and it went forward a few teeth but I just moved it back going counterclockwise until the mark lined up again. Is that what could be causing the ticking? I have a short uploaded on my channel if you want to hear the noise I’m talking about and if you ever see this comment I could really use your expertise
I have to replace the camshaft position sensor on my car and it is located behind the sprocket similar to what is shown. How can I ensure I don't mess up the timing of the car or the camshaft position itself. Any help would be greatly appreciated
@@fixanddrive By means this is a smart solution no doupt. But i dit this myselve before and cracked the sprocket. Either be careful at own risk or get specialized tools, you can borrow for free in most local autopart stores.
Nicely assisted by the missus there! :)
Great video

You will have to remove the belt and refit it again ruclips.net/video/b9TNc6PkYyw/видео.html&ab_channel=FixandDrive
@@fixanddrive ok, cheers mate. A bit daunting seeing as I've never done it before, hopefully it all goes well
In Z19DT timing belt video, cam sprocket tightening torque is 150Nm. So 120 150Nm, please?
TIS says it 120Nm
Fix and Drive thanks
thanks for your donation, I do appreciate
why did u replace camshaft sprocket?
I didn't replace it. On 1.9 8V (not 16V!) you need to remove it to get access to one bolt of the water pump. ruclips.net/video/_NA5nXbQ76U/видео.html
This could destoy your sprocket, they are very brittle sometimes they will crack unter such pressuse i do not recomend doing this
So what is the alternative? Going to the garage and paying huge money.
