    I just bought a 2013 Malibu with this issue. Just ordered the part. Have you had any major issues with this car? I'm hoping I got a decent one

    • @JonnyAbs-0
      @JonnyAbs-0  Год назад

      To me a major issue would be an engine or transmission failure. Is that what you mean? Overall, I am happy with the car and have had it since new. It does burn about a quart of oil every 800-1000 miles so I have to stay on top of that and make sure you check the oil level at least every tank of gas and preferably after it's been sitting for a while.
      I have also had to replace a bunch of sensors. Temp sensor, this oil pump valve sensor, camshaft solenoids. Under warranty, the dealer replaced the water pump and high pressure fuel pump, which is in the engine bay. My instrument cluster had to be sent out for repair. I have an important video for that if you run into intermittent issues with it. Do not get a new one or used one! Have circuit repair medics fix it!
      I am pretty good and knowledgable with cars, so this stuff would likely frustrate someone else, but I fix most of this stuff within a day or two so not a huge deal and mostly it's trouble free and runs well.

      I didn't realize what video we were in. This is the oil pump solenoid video, and I doubt you would be hearing the oil pump. It could be your AIR pump, and maybe struggling to pump the air through a clogged AIR valve. I have a video for looking into that.
