    I found this video very helpful because have a 13 LTZ and did mines .. you mentioned 2017 in the video but it says 2014 in the caption either way very helpful thanks

    NICE WORK YEA NOT MANY VIDEOS OUT ON THIS HOWEVER THESE ARE PICKY WITH DIRTY OIL THE OIL CHANGE WITH AA CONDITIONER MAY HAVE FIXED IT DIRTY OIL CAN CAUSE ALL TYPES OF WEIRD ISSUES WITH THE VVT SOLENOID THE OCV'S THE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ETC BUT LIKE A COMMENT I SAW U DO THAT HARD JOB BUT TAKE IT TO GET AN EASY OIL CHANGE DONE 😅😅 LOL HEY TO EACH THEIR OWN 😂😂

      Same. I paid to get this oil pressure sensor switch and oil change done but I still have the code and red engine icon on. Can't figure out what else it could be

      @@trentdaddydolla647 Yes because after people improperly install shitty aftermarket parts and break connectors and put their vehicles into worse shape than before they either trade it in and our used car tech makes hours or they actually get it properly repaired by one of us techs. We actually make fun of people who are "youtube certified" mechanics.

    I just did this, the plug was the hardest thing to get out and yes the clip broke too lol but light hasn’t gone off yet but I still need to drive around so stay tuned

      The faulty part was the oil pump pressure solenoid. They also stated that they checked the oil pressure switch for this issue but it was good. Fixed now though. The cost of repair was $80.

      Damn I replaced that and the exhaust solenoid but the light keeps going on and off

    This oil pressure sensor will make you think you have a fuel pump problem as well which you have one in the tank and a high pressure fuel pump on the side of cylinder head. Will let car run may shut down then start later when in warm state then act up .

    Dam Bro should just change the oil while you got it up off the ground, save yourself 50-100 dollar billz. I'm trying to clear codes on a 2014 Malibu, what a pain in the arse. Thank you

    Hi! have P0523. Replaced the same part as you. Did oil change etc... new filter. Do you know if the oil pressure sensor switch has a filter in the socket? Also, oil pump pressure solenoid, What is it? where is it? Google is not that good with pictures of the item, all seem very generic. Thanks!

    Hi do you remember what code showed up ? For my 2013 malibu this code showed up P0521 & it says engine oil pressure sensor/switch circuit range/performance.

    What if my clip broke just like yours did and I can’t figure out how to get it off. I’ve tried everything and the clip won’t come off. The entire white piece broke and I’m not sure what to press down and pull out. Am I screwed?

      No. It'll still lock in. The white clip is so it won't be taken off accidentally. It's a safety clip. I wound up breaking one when changing the camshaft position solenoid. It'll should still clip on to the solenoid.

    So i thought it was the oil pressure switch but the shop said it was the oil pump pressure solenoid. They also stated that they checked the oil pressure switch for this issue. Fixed now though. The cost of repair was $80.

      @@JonnyAbs-0 I had this issue in my daughters car, P06DE. I replaced the solenoid, but it wound up being the switch/sensor. I replaced both (not sure why this guy didn't just do both.. the solenoid was way easier than the sensor).

    Does this problem cause the car to be sluggish & mess the RPMs?

      Bianca Navarrete yes it can contribute to that, but if this is bad in your car, a check engine light would be on and it would indicate that. Good luck

      It didn't cause any noticeable issues with the car but as @TheBombDotCom stated it can lead to those issues. Also, the issue was the oil pump pressure solenoid. They repair shop stated that they checked the oil pressure switch for this issue but it was good. Fixed now though. The cost of repair was $80.,

      @@Latin__boy yes I did the oil pressure switch as in the video but I did the oil pressure solenoid which is located near the oil filter… it’s covered by a heat shield 10mm bolt… now if you replace both and still have problems it could be the oil pump worse case scenario

    Can't you just remove the bolt without taking the connections off? One the battery is disconoceted

    Trust me..OE parts are available on there too...cut the middle man off (Auto Zone..advanced auto parts..o reillys) etc etc....they got parts for CHEAP
