Magician reacts to Takumi Takahashi perform close-up card magic tricks on Asia's Got Talent 2019. This video shows the reaction of a magician so you can see how someone in this field thinks about it! This is season 3 of AXN Asia's Got Talent, and this Japanese magician is performing sleight of hand techniques created by Lennart Green. He dresses as a mafia magician, and his close-up magic tricks are extremely amazing. David Foster also joins him on stage during this card magic routine. How does he compare with Shin Lim in your mind?

Lo
He is a student of lennart green that's why he's using his moves. He also has a download tutorial presented by shin lim. It's called a study on lennart green.
He is Lennart's student whom by his opinion, Takumi has surpassed Lennart.
Ihsibanah Kaito He’s Lennart’s student??? And Lennert said he surpassed him? I’ve heard of Takumi before just bc he was on Shin Lim’s Instagram. So I’ve checked his Instagram and also know he’s a boss with coins too. That laser deal and lateral palm he’s doing is PERFECT! It’d be nice to have Lennart Green be your magic teacher though 🤔
Hes on a study on lennart green and teaches all of these moves
Yeah he spoke as if he didnt know that. surprising
He is actually Lennart’s protege and spent years training with him. Lennart said himself that Takumi had surpassed him, and that is quite the statement considering the source.
lennart green himself said " takumi has surpassed me in everyway" he is a beast
Shin Lim and Takumi Takahashi are actually friends, they go way back.
It's so wild, I've watched this dude for like 2 years on instagram after just stumbling upon him. I remember being blown away with how clean it was, cool to see him get attention.
Yeah, he's Lennart's student. He's worked with him and Lennart said that he surpassed him or something.
Who ever thumbs down on this and we know its not really a magic this guy really has a super quick and a very smooth hands to deal with his performance...100 thumbs up to you...love it..
Stunning sleights. I think his performance persona is great. The hat and glasses make him instantly recognisable - the whole "mafia magician" thing creates a strong brand. Very clever. Always fun to watch your reactions, Jason, thanks for the upload. :)
He is an amazing magician. I met him before when he was in Korea. I`m really proud of he did a great job on this show!
That’s cool you got to meet him! Impressive he is executing such an angle sensitive move up there on the big stage
I agree with you ,I enjoy the close up magic and cards tricks the most.
i love how most of this is just variations of the same exact (very difficult) move, but still diverse effects.
thank you for introducing takumi takahashi never seen this guy before watched your other clip of him brilliant ...
By far your greatest commentary I've seen you post! I was also very impressed with how liquid he made it look. (I'll agree on the mafia look. I found it peculiar, but somehow I can't imagine his showcase without the odd mafia look lol)
Aw thanks very much! Yeah he was so smooth!
Your comments and observations are very fair and honest. I like your presentations. You give credit where it is due. Keep up the great work
That card dealing tricks are so perfect!!!
It's nice to hear you complement somebody. He is really really very good.
Really like your videos! Keep up the good work!
Thank you so much!
That was really good!!! Best seen on these talent shows
I saw this a few days ago and my thoughts were the same. He's a slick version of Lennart Green.
"Their job is just to react"...says the guy just reacting?
lol
reaveling tricks for the next videos 😊
Thank you🤗
Its hard to learn but with the right tutorial you can learn it in day
Impressive card mechanic ! Fun to watch
Great video sir.i know how difficult to master lennart green's card deal or lazer deal. Im also a magician, im not an expert. I only love coin magic. But what takumi did. Change my mind to learn such card tricks like that😊 more power to your channel sir. I hope mine too😊
What I love about the Lennart Green stuff is how much magicians love it. To us normies, it’s just some impressive card tricks. But when it’s done well, their peers know they’ve seen something special.
I figured out how he did it. If you play the video at .25 of the normal playback speed. You will get fooled in slow motion.
This guy actually shows why sometimes it's depressing to do magic😂😂 you practice so much and people can't even imagine how much you practice, I'm not even close to his level and when my friends realised how much I practice they were blown away more than any trick I showed them, but that's also part of the fun in magic :)
Roy Mizrachi haha right?! :)
the last trick was very noticeable
Awesome
STUNNING FROM THE PHILIPPINES.
I love this guy.
Decent! I like and subscribe!
I enjoy your videos. But I enjoy even more the music in the beginning of yours videos ! Is there a way to listen to the full song ? Thanks !
The awesome bro
🤣 Jason's comment about spending hours in front of the mirror.
I think you’re right regarding the mafia presentation. I think he’d be better served with a more open and engaging persona. He’s amazing though all the same.
nice
I really like how you present your reactions
wood1313hk wood thanks so much!
Awesome! Except at 4:30 where I clearly saw the rest of the cards in his right hand, so clearly that for a moment I thought it was part of the routine to see them 😅
Lennart's protege has surpassed the master himself.
This guy is a protege/Student of Mr Green
Lennart Green has to be this guys hero lol. I don’t blame him because I love Lennart Green. This looks very similar to Lennart’s act especially the one Lennart did at his TED talk.
You're not too far off. He was Lennart Green's prodigal student and they are very close.
Really that’s awesome.
@@nesleyheiney3111 check out his stuffs ! Like "A study on lennart green by takumi" , Lennart himself claimed that takumi has surpassed him . I bought the study and it was far better than i expected ;)
Rather surprised you weren't already familiar with Takahashi.
I missed a lot of the magic world where do I start?
This guy is good at slight of hand!
Asian level😄
incredible how inspired i am so i can do my moves .better
snap deal was difficult to you????
I got it like in 5 minutes.
And thanks mr Lennart, it has been SO usefull to me over the years, altrough my audience never knows I use it, never show it in this "vanishing" way. Used it mostly to switch, came up with 99% perfect acaan thanks to this sleight.
I loved your reaction - especially because you proved something: "Magicions keep an eye on things where nobody else looks..." - at 08:42 "So both him and Shin Lim are involving their hair" :-D
I think if he played a game in his performance rather than explained what he was going to do, utilizing the same tricks, it would have caught everyone by surprise a lot more. I think a good comparison to this is Richard Turner where he also has a similar performance, but his mystery is more along the fact that this dude is blind and can still hustle you with pure skill.
Overall great performance and I'd definitely pay to see this guy's show.
Yo dude ya know where I can know some code words and where to get knowledge for magic
The more you study, the more you'll start to pick up on it.
he made a video with shin lim
I did my first card trick today since I’ve been watching your channel and learning. I did one of the really easy ones but one that looks cool..anyway after fukin it up about 3 tunes I got it right and my 6 year old son loved it...lol..maybe I’ll try it on an adult next.
Hey that's so great you did you first trick! It can be a very fun hobby. (the only downside is you spend a lot of your time alone practicing.) Anyway, congrats on that! And yeah generally speaking magicians all start off by messing up a lot and learning what NOT to do. How to avoid certain situations by trial and error. BTW which trick was it?
I’m really not sure what it’s called but it looked really cool and easy when I saw how to do it....when I learned how to do it the guy on you tube said it was a “fair” trick and not hard to do so I tried it it out....I had to have 2 new decks and I opened one and told my son to give it a real quick shuffle and then a cut with out me ever touching them except to put them back in the box.i told him to take the card where he cut it and look at it and keep it.i put the cards back in the box and took the other deck and picked the exact card out of the new deck that matched his card out of the first deck...do you know the one I mean? Anyway he was floored by it and so was everyone I did it to today and yesterday....thanks for getting me started on this hobby man you don’t know what it means to me.without going into my past to much I will say I’m a recovering opiate addict and doin this has saved me from slipping back into the hell im digging out of because it keeps me focused...any way Jason you the man and keep putting up good vids for us.iv just about watched every thing that you have put up can you suggest any other good channels?
Amon garra cirice the destroyer wow so glad to hear you are turning things around! Yeah this can be a great hobby. Chris Ramsay is probably the best youtuber to follow for magic stuff plus other random things. Also Disturb Reality has a lot of tutorials. Also 52Kards. These 3 are the big ones. The giants. Also I recommend picking up the book: Royal road to card magic. Best way to start with card magic and also checking out RUclips videos to compliment the book!
If you go to shim Lin website he has a download on there.
Where r U Jason..long time no C
He is faster. From slow motion, you can see his pinky holding the cards back.
For ppl who don’t know, a lateral palm for the table and the laser deal are SUPER HARD to get down. He’s just as good as Lennart Green. I wish Lennart Green was my magic teacher 😢
its really not a difficult move lateral palm is a god send when on the table and the "snapping" is not difficult to do. its an amazing move
Dominic Violo To do the lateral palm with the snap, vanishes, and reproductions is hard man. If you can do it THAT cleanly ever single time and in front of a live audience and the world, props to you
@@KinnereyB maybe i just had the knack for it and got lucky then
Great video again !!
But whats up with "comparing to Shin Lim..." ( i know he won Agt and this is a Agt show) i like Shin Lim, don't get me wrong, but there are better magicians than him in every aspect in My opinion.
Can somebody tell me what the production is called?
I think if you search for lennart green's snap deal, it will help you :)
Could you react to the Takumi vs Shin Lim zoom?
Of course that one of lenart green apprentice...
Love you from Iraq 😍
Dark Shadow thanks!!
Simple trick but so hard
He is a student of lennart green..
This magician is totally awesome. 👍👍
It would have been better, if you'd be the little picture and we could have seen more from the action...🤷🏼♂️
Like your reactions they are pretty honest.
4bit 4u thank you 🙏
Very good at sleight of hand but his presentation could be better.
Maybe the language fluency is the problem :)
単純に分かっててもめちゃ上手いよね
What is the technique they use in the second 0:10? please answer 🙏
I made a tutorial for how to do this on my Patreon :)
I have some question about your video copyright, you answered me, It covered fair use. But my shin lim video got Copyright claim. Of courese, I`m not gotta get money with that video. But I was wondering did you also got the Copyright claim.
Can I talk with you about some copyright issue?
MF-JOON Magic Review Channel sure send me an email... look on my About page
@@JasonParkerMagic I was sending email to you. :) I`ll waiting for your answer
u can tell that this guy has been affililated with the yakuza before. he has a certain vibe 2 him.
LIKE
Johnny Depp nice
He was lennart greens student
He will literally bring a casino on road
Lenrad green is his.master so.it makes sense he used his moves
"their job is just to react" HAHAHAHA
beautiful sleights. Apoteosis of Lennart Green...But !!! what about the carisma of the sweddish cook...beg your pardon, about the swedish doctor ..."Snap deal" is surely the legacy of Lennart in the magnificence world of card magic. Respect for Takumi to be so good, and love for Lennart who is (really) a great teacher (personal experience). Really good job Jason
another great reaction video. IMO I think Takumi is more smooth than Lennart (comparing this to Lennart's Ted performance) but Lennart's got more personality / comedy. I took this act as a homage to Lennart since it mirrors Lennart so closely. As technically brilliant as Takumi may be, I feel to break in to main stream he needs more personality. He needs to pull on the heart strings, it should be more emotional / dramatic, like Shin Lim. Shin posted a video with Takumi in past. I believe Shin sells this act for Takumi on Shin's website, it's call "A STUDY ON LENNART GREEN".
Yeah I agree..
"Their job is just to react."
A criticism?
A fact i think. I’d like to be there and do so sometimes too
3:57 He drop the cards under the table, my guess.
It's called lapping in magic...
No
He doesn’t lap anything
I'm 99% certain the sounds of him placing cards is added for effect
Actually the technique he is using specifically allows for creating this sound. It's not artificial.
@@JasonParkerMagic the reason I say it, is because there's a time where you don't hear the sound. Which is even weirder. And to hear one on the mic over other things seems a bit unrealistic.
He is a student of lennart green
He is Crazy! What happened??
He is greens understudy
I really don't get reaction channels....
wait, just one airpod? that’s illegal
how do you not know Takumi though???
Chocolate flavored DUCKS there are lots of famous magicians in the world! :)
4:50 he says while doing his reaction video ;)
:)
Funny you should say he's a master, since "takumi” means "craftsman" or "skillful master." I wonder if it's a stage name.
He is not a Mafia
From japan
he learns from Lenard Green
Another Asian master of card magic is in agt why so many magician are now performing....hmmmm it's better to have a best magician talent competitions....
技術
Michael jackson that performs magic
I have to agree about his dress sense. Looks like he may be a good-looking young chap if he stripped it back a bit. His magic was great though
No golden buzzer thing?
