But he is doing it Robert Bullok, slow it down to .25 and observe closely the thickness of the deck as he flips the top packet,it's half the size and if you watch even closer at the bottom hand you can see when he flipsthe bottom packet, end result the deck is now full thickness and selected card on top
These things never work unless you're doing it for a camera and you have your angles just perfect in the street shorter people or more than one person will see what's going on underneath we just can't see cuz he keeps the camera up high trust me been doing this 15 years
You can also control the card to second from the top, just as easily. Then you could do a double lift, show the control card, turn it back over, transition into whatever you want to.
There is so much detail in this video it is absolutely top notch. I watched it and I got the basics down. Practiced for two days. Then came back and watched it again. This showed me a bunch of ways to improve my technique. A few more days practice, then one more viewing to see if there’s anything I’m still missing in my technique. Then more practice.
I have to say that I appreciate the way you break everything down and explain the does and don'ts of the effects in a simple and understandable way. Let alone sharing your time and skills. I was watching another video to get someone else's perspective of the basic pass. This joker keep switching around between two different ways of doing it, I've watched it several times with the intention to pay attention to sort out the process and I still don't understand what he is saying! You on the other hand explain one version and then go into explaining the others. Simple, precise and to the point. You a re one hell of a teacher and showman! Smooth as glass. Thank you for all that you do.
Probably one of the first passes I learned and still mention the theory behind it I learned from Alex to this day and I will still carry it with me! Thanks Alex!!
Oh my wow. Alex, I am so glad to see that the same modification you did, flipping it all, is the same conclusion that I came to. You've given me a couple of tips to think about to improve the control. Thanks Alex!
Alex, thanks so much for showing this alternative to the turn over pass. I've been a fan of the pass for over 20+ years and I've never felt comfortable using the move in any routine due to the fact that it felt too unnatural. This is an perfect alternative to make it fell really smooth. I love the ambitious card routine and I think I will add this move to it. :)
Nicely Taught as always Alex. For those interested, The Invisible Turnover Pass is a variation of its predeccessor, The Herrman Pass. When used by gamblers we sometimes refer to it as the Herrman Shift.
I saw this tutorial for the first time a couple of months ago, and started practicing it. Even though I've learned it (I have yet to master it) it still blows my mind seeing you do it. I have to agree this i the BEST card control. Thank you for sharing this and all of your other great tutorials.
Thank you for a great tutorial. I have studied Jamy Ian Swiss and Larry Jennings...most people here don't have a clue who they are. You have made great passes accessible to people who have tried to make them invisible for decades. Great job!
I've never done a card trick but I'm absolutely amazed how much thought goes into every little detail of that trick! And you explained it really well. Thank you so much for sharing this with us.🙏🏻
The detailed explanation and tips are amazing. You are an excellent instructor with a great talent in teaching not just awesome magic. Simply outstanding. Thank you.
12:23 you are the master of card tricks bro!! You teach us the trick like also other magicians thought but actually you also talk about what's kind of problems we can face whenever we do this trick and how to resolve it also!! And specially this time whatever you talked at 12:23 ...its just awesome bro!!! Really appreciate!!! 👏👏👏👏👍👌
Excellent as always man. This is one of those moves that can help create those instant emotional moments. Thanks for this, and for doing your part to drive magic towards what it should be. I look forward to digging into the V2 bundle later!
Thank you so much for making this video. The theory taught in this video was spectacular. You’re one of the few magicians that actually spends time discussing theory in their RUclips videos. Amazing points and thoughts about magic. Once again, thank you for your insight Alex.
I always come back here to watch if I've been absent from magic for a little bit and want to brush up on my skills. I actually have a Playlist on here of all your different handling videos and they are by far the best tutorials I have.. Better than all the paid for videos I have by far 👌🏼 Thank you so much for sharing this along with all your other tutorials... Appreciate it so much dude.
I really don't understand the thumbs down. The sleight is easy, practically undetectable, and all the details in this video will help you achieve it well. Before this video, at thought i did the turnover pass quite well... but the details of execution given by Alex make it so much smoother and better now. In short : never think you do a move perfectly, you can always perfect it. Thanks Alex !
Saw the performance at the beginning and got excited, I do this all the time!!! Super cool that someone like you is teaching a control that I just started doing with my turnover pass!
I'm like two minutes and I'm sorry but I thought of the selection coming from a face up deck thing as well to justify the turnover, I'm a 16 yr old starting in magic and it blows my mind that I thought of something that a professional magician though of!!
I kinda struggle with a pinky break (amature hour here) so I found it really easy and fluid that you show the cards facing straight then you use the top packet to tap on their card while rotating to the good angle and slightly pushing up with my pinky. This "gives them a better view" of their card and helps get that pinky break. Still feels very natural though.
Hi Alex, I saw you around for a while now but only subscribed a few days ago after actually watching a some videos of yours. I have to say, I really like the way you seem to think a lot... basically you're addressing all the reasons why I dislike certain moves as well and show or give ideas how to do things differently, ending up with something much more in a way that I can very well see myself utilizing. Just like you did again in this video - you took a move, got rid of all the unnecessary stuff originally meant to hide things while it actually draws even more attention to the observant spectator's eye. I really like that! Also, you're quite talented in regards of teaching by covering everything in detail without falling into rambling or repeating yourself any more than needful. Thanks a lot for being a great source of knowledge and for sharing your experience! I hope your channel gets the attention it deserves!
I'm so glad I found your Channel. You are a great teacher I've seen your work but I didn't know you taught stuff on your Channel now I just feel stupid for not paying attention. Thanks Alex. Your moves are fantastic and you teach them well. Now I just need to make time to watch all of your freaking videos LOL
Thanks a lot Alex for this great Video and the in depth explenation. I just bought the Pass from Xavior and your Brick Pass Video. What i love about these lessons is not only that you are showing the movement and steps in depth and so clean but also why you do it that way or the other or even NOT in another way. Also what is great is to hear about the psychology behind the moves. I am with you to only make moves when these makes sense and they are logical. That‘s why i hate the Elmsley Count even it is a great move, but no normal man would like to count the cards like that right :) I am playing around with card for two years now and i am million miles away of what you guys can do, but reading the comments of great moves and lessons when they all saying that this is not possible or to angle sensitive: It is all about learing, training and hard work. I cannot take too much time in my card learnings so i have to live with that and that‘s totally fine and this is also a reason to watch these videos and be impressed what is possible in card magic. Even you know what movements you do, i can‘t see it, that‘s great! So again thanks a lot for the work you put in these videos, i really appreciate it. And i am with some others here: I would also pay for these kind of lessons. Big thanks to bring this for the people for free! Disclaimer: My english is not the best, i am a german crowd, so sorry about that.
FANTASTIC VIDEO ALEX-you ALWAYS go the extra mile to consolidate your ideas, from Noc's to brilliant magic-thanks for sharing!! Best wishes and kindest regards,♣️♥️♦️♠️🃏 Dave.
In his Brick Pass DVD, Alex does a GREAT job teaching the Turnover Pass. Great camera angles. And finger positioning is taught very well. When I finally got it down right, I broke out into a BIG SMILE, and I'm thinking, Ah, Finally!!!
Finally ordered a bunch of NOC decks, and just experienced a deck in my hands for the first time. Now that is the way cards are supposed to feel! Very well done. Super sweet. I simply wanted to give you some business in gratitude for your excellent videos. Now I must thank you again...this time for the quality. What am I going to do with all these Bicycle decks?!?
Yeah I agree with your philosophy on the turnover pass. I only ever use it when casually placing the deck to one side. If you do it with the top packet gripped only at the corners between pointer finger and thumb, the other three fingers provide bulletproof shade. It's slow motion camera-proof...and done on the psychological off-beat as well, it's the perfect control.
Alex, instead of doing the double flip of the 2 halves of the deck which is much too cumbersome for my taste. I simply get them to choose the card they like in the same manner but instead of flipping the bottom half of the deck, I simply get a break above the card and as I square up the deck I use my 3 fingers under the card to pull it under my upper hand which is holding the deck and shielding the card that I am side jogging and then simply push it under the bottom of the deck and then finish squaring up the deck. It is much cleaner and smoother. The possible noise is the only draw back but practice and good patter can solve that.
Hey, I have a minor suggestion. LePaul Spread half of the deck to get to your selection area. It puts you in a reasonable and simple position that makes the pinky break a lot easier and it looks natural. It's my preferred way of doing it. I love this and learned it from this channel a long time a go and have had a blast making variations on it. But the LePaul Spread makes the pinky break a little easier to hide. Anyway, have a great day, everyone. -E
this is the only pass I do, thanks Alex. I don't have a great pass so it's the move that gives me motivation saying that "hey, i can do a pass". sorry my english is not that good
Think this is a really good tutorial. Hard move to do smooth and without making to much noise with the cards. Going to practice this in front of a mirror. Thanks for the good advice on not shuffling afterwards.
0:07 Even after I know how he does it, I still can’t see when he does it!!!
Mind blown!!
It's witchcraft
Because he’s not doing it.
But he is doing it Robert Bullok, slow it down to .25 and observe closely the thickness of the deck as he flips the top packet,it's half the size and if you watch even closer at the bottom hand you can see when he flipsthe bottom packet, end result the deck is now full thickness and selected card on top
These things never work unless you're doing it for a camera and you have your angles just perfect in the street shorter people or more than one person will see what's going on underneath we just can't see cuz he keeps the camera up high trust me been doing this 15 years
I guess it is hard to pull off not impossible but hard, I'm new to this stuff but in getting better at it every day sometimes I fool my self
Alex, even the tutorial is like watching the trick for the first time. You are a great teacher...please don't stop!
You can also control the card to second from the top, just as easily. Then you could do a double lift, show the control card, turn it back over, transition into whatever you want to.
I thought about that too!
It’s just so elegant. I love how you embrace minimal movements. You and Shin Lim are the Dai Vernon and Charlie Miller of this generation.
you are a beast ! i love how you talk about the psychology on the moves , thats the proper way of teaching anything, thank you!
It is so obvious that you are an absolute perfectionist with your craft. Really appreciate the dedication and attention to detail. Beautifully taught
You are so generous for sharing this gem. Thank you.
thanks for watching!
Ezek már régen fent vannak you tube-on, de ja jó hogy fent van ilyen minőségben is

Stop staring, applaud Alex for his magnanimous generousity! Thank you. 👏👏👏
On the first day i learn magic i watched this, come back after half of a month now i can fully understand and do it almost flawlessly, thank you !
This is the sweetest I have ever seen this move, 10 out of 10 for you Alex.
30 yrs I’ve been doing magic but your sleights explanation is very clear and understandable , thankyou Alex
Nicely Taught as always Alex. For those interested, The Invisible Turnover Pass is a variation of its predeccessor, The Herrman Pass. When used by gamblers we sometimes refer to it as the Herrman Shift.
I'm sold on this sleight, performance is flawless :))

I looove this conbtrol. Thx a lot for the xplanation. This is THE best move I’ve learn so far. Easy and yet so powerful. Again thx a lot.
i really like all the performance tips-- you covered a lot of subtleties that aren't obvious to a beginner
Not even a minute in and that looks so smooth. Day one of playing cards and I stumbled on this. I can’t wait to finish this video.
It's incredible that he's so talented that he can show you the move and how it's done and you still can't spot it.
That's genuine mastery.
12:23 you are the master of card tricks bro!! You teach us the trick like also other magicians thought but actually you also talk about what's kind of problems we can face whenever we do this trick and how to resolve it also!!

It's just like real magic. Can't even see him doing it in hia hands. Really cool man. Thanks for sharing
awesome video, i love how often you repeat the steps bit by bit, makes it really easy to go along the first time!!! Keep'em coming!
I appreciate good teachers, thank you. So many videos before I learned about the fingertips on the last move. Thanks again.
Love this control. You make it look effortless 👌
Excellent as always man. This is one of those moves that can help create those instant emotional moments.

your control of the cards is so great that even after you showed us how to do it, I couldn't catch you at it. smooth as silk...thanks!
mad skills. invisible even at .25x
Who would give this a thumbs down? Are you crazy? This is beautiful and Geeezus... I can't see it happen after I know what I'm looking for!

Very good, thanks man! Time to start practicing!
Love your moves and tutorials Alex, inspiring! I've gone from knowing absolutely nothing, to learning my 1st trick in 2 weeks.

Amazing card control and you do it better than any other magician. Good job. Keep it up. And thanks for the explanation.

thanks, felt it needed an update 💪🏻
Really good man . And I really appreciate u telling us the thinking behind it and phsycological tips. Thanks a hell lot.
you're very welcome. thanks for watching!
Awesome...so much easier than the classic pass! Thank you!! so much!
Ohhhh the hidden treasures on you’re channel... this is a serious gem, thanks buddy.
Alex you're my favourite magician at the moment, I consider you to be the best in the world at the pass
thanksss dude
Xavior Spade is better... This is incredible though
You watch David Blaine or Chris Ramsay?
Wow I love this one. Thank you for sharing ❤️
Great insights with the subtleties.
Absolutely beautiful Pass Alex, thank you.. :)
Awesome tutorial. I've always loved this move. My favorite is the spread pass. Have you done a tutorial on that?
Thank you alex i will practice hard on this move
I rarely leave comments, but I had to say, Alex, that this is one of the best tutorials I have seen.
omfg. i knew the turnover pass for so long and just now i realised that ive been doing it so wrong. great tutorial , Alex ! best tips
Glad it helped! Enjoyyy
I've watched this in the slowest motion I have available and it's still amazing.
So so good ! Very fluid and not complicates to learn. You did a good job. Thank you a lot
I love the depth of the tutorial. U r the best, man!
Your turnover pass is beautiful. Thanks!
I do this all the time in spectators hand with the repeat. As per your At the table lecture. Gets great reactions always.
Absolutely Great thoughts and tips about this pass everybody should watch this who does anything with card magic :)
Wow man so smoothly you did it 😍
Great discussion on the details of the entire slight. Anyone can do a trick, but few can do magic. Tnx for the details.
This variation is magical my man I'm literally fooling myself whilst doing the move HAHA
My mind was blown at 0:15😱😱😱🔥🔥🔥🔥
ya I fooled myself lol
Always so clean. Thank you
Nice.....I've learned so many things from you.......thank you very much
Hey, I have a minor suggestion.

Hey great demo. I liked it very much it help me realize that I had trouble because I was not doing it right. Thanks again.
Like the science you put into it, and the psychology
Alex, thank you man! Excelent move and very well explained.
wicked. very technical and explained wonderfully. many thanks!
This is beautifully crafted
that visual effect is terribly amazing
this is the only pass I do, thanks Alex.
