Yes it’s a good act and I think if magic can fool laymen is more than enough. Tbh I’m not the greatest fan of the fool us Format because magicians try to specifically fool magicians. A simple double Lift can habe amazing effects but would never fool a magician. So they need much more complicated techniques to achieve the same effect, which might be surprising for other magicians but confusing for layman. Someone said takumi could easily fool P&T and I doubt It. It’s not a criticism to takumi. He is performing for laymen here so he did everything right.

for the aces trick.. while dealing the card he put the aces at the back of the pile of cards in his hands and not on the table but his moves is soo smooth that it feels like he is dealing the aces on the pile at the table..

Takumi is a lennart green student. This sleight of hand, while props to Shin, is insanely much harder than any of those that Shin does. The laser deal is one of the most coveted sleight of hand techniques, congratulations Takumi.

As a magician I'm so happy Shin went viral and Takumi is going to get viral as well, both are great artists and finally the world can see the beauty of close up magic

I know how all the tricks work but man the skill required to do sleight of hand like that is amazing.
Just earlier I watched him do a shortened version of this trick to Shin Lim and he said his trick was nothing compared to Lim's which I completely disagree. Then again Lim's trick was unbelievable and he did it without any practice, just the idea. But he's on a different level...

its hard to give a golden buzzer, because for an average human it looks impossible, but once you know what to look for its kinda obvious.. his sleight of hand is amazing at palming cards
This guy shares the same talent and superpower with Shin Lim as they know with each other, but Shin Lim's performance is way better, more hypnotizing and delivering more added value to the audience because he uses coreograph and dramatic music. Meanwhile this guy's performance is just like an ordinary street magician show.
I personally like this style more, even though its not fitting for a theater this big.
I personally like Takumi better, honestly. It shows that you don't need all the props and dramatic music to make people amazed by your magic. I like it better if we can just focus on the magic shown without a lot of distractions.
@@zhchee7734 Liking Takumi or Shin Lim is totally up to you or everybody else, but to win the contest is a different story. For me, although Takumi is super talented, it's hard for him to win because his performance is only at the level of street magic in a carnival or a circus. He does not present a showmanship like Shin Lim. Please note all the magicians who ever win a big contest like AGT or FISM always come up with a concept story, coreograph, face expression and dramatic music to be bundled into one package and I found Eric Chien's close up magic performance (the FISM winner in 2018) is better than Shin Lim's.
