    So in figuring out how long to make my chain, I would need to double the number of stitches and then add one more at the end? Lets say a single crochet baby blanket has a beginning chain of 120, would I need 240 plus one to make this pattern because it will shrink in length? Or is it going to come out right with just adding the one extra stitch at the end of the chain to turn?

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  Год назад +2

      I have a blanket made using this stitch if that would help. You can check it out here: www.amandacrochets.com/grit-stitch-baby-blanket/

    Hi I love your work but I just wanted to ask what is the difference between your Suzette stitch and your Grit stitch? They look very similar.

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  2 года назад +1

      Hello! Yes, the grit stitch and the suzette stitch are very similar. The only difference I've seen is how the stitch is started as well as the chain. Other than that, they're pretty much the same stitch. Hope that helps!

    I really like the yarn color and the stitch. Where would I place my stitch markers? I assume in the chain 1 at the end? I’m a beginner and want to get good edges on my next project. Thank you. 🌷

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 года назад +2

      Thank you! To keep edges straight you will place your stitch marker in the very first stitch and the very last stitch of each row.

    Amanda I don’t understand the difference between the Suzette and grit stitch blanket

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  5 месяцев назад +1

      The two stitches are very similar except for how you start off with the chain. I know it can be a little confusing as a lot of stitches are called the different things even though the concept of making them are the same.

      The person who did the tutorial like everyone else if they can make it different ways either the colors or the way they explained from there you can call it whatever even it's the same thing but that person slightly made some changing everyone does it last year I made blanket exact pattern except I did it backwards & with space that's what fun about tutorial you can get all kinds ideas so I'm very thankful they sharing their talent

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 года назад +1

      This is very similar to the suzette stitch. With the grit stitch you need a chain multiple of 2+1 and add 2 more chains after that. With the suzette stitch, you need an even number chain. The construction of the stitch is very similar.

    • @AmandaCrochets
      @AmandaCrochets  3 года назад +2

      With crochet, I noticed there are similar stitches or different names for the same stitches. It’s fun discovering new stitches and the ways they’re constructed. Enjoy!
