That is a beautiful blanket. I love your videos. I am re learning how to crochet after many surgeries to my right arm. I am wondering what is the size of the blanket using 100 chains when finished?
When u get to the end of the skeen and your in the middle of a row and the color changes to another color do u cut that little bit off and start a new color so the pattern stays in sink
I love this pattern. I used JoAnn's Big Twist 4wwt yarn in Unicorn Magic colorway. I did 6 rows of color, then 4 rows of white. It's beautiful! Thank you for such a wonderful blanket pattern. ❤
Yes I am 74 years young taught myself to crochet from a book when I was 18 then went on to make my wedding dress and bridesmaids dresses.i love crochet.💖💖
I'll second that emotion. She makes it so very very easy to understand how to make the stich ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤love her vlogs so so much. Ty for sharing your vlogs with all of us. God bless you and your family in everything you do
Love this. (And you too) This is beautiful. I was looking for a good cuddle blanket for a little extra gift for my friend's daughter's wedding gift. This is it.
Hi glenda. I just love Puzzle yarn. I have a stash of 14 colors. I fell in love with your Pumpkin Spice pattern and couldnt wait to get started. Im making my first one in Maze (dark green shades)....hope it will look Christmasy. Thank you so much for the truely easy pattern. Its a great tv pattern. Love you❤
I am left handed. If I make this afghan-and I really want to-I will be on the right side of my work when it’s time to start the border. What do I need to do to make the border correctly?
I just wanted to say thank you. For doing what you do, having closed captions (CC), and having great nails. They aren't colored weird or rhinestoned etc. Or some clashing color to the yarn you use. They don't distract from your stitches. 😁
This is the BEST tutorial in literally anything I've ever tried to do. I used to crochet a lot but have had a brain fart the last 10 years or so, so here I am trying to get it again. I've watched a TON of videos this week. Thank you so very much for this. I ordered my yarn just now. I'm making this afghan!❤
Hi Glenda- Premier was the first yarn I fell in love with as a newbie grandma/ crocheter- 4yr ago- their colorways just make you want to create more projects! I love LOVE the kickball & its so hard to tell online- how colors "shake out" bec its different results by crochet or knit stitch..TY for sharing this- I will def order this yarn- its always so soft- I see some colors in walmart..and I LOVE your 1 Row repeats, I have been saving my favorite CG tutorials & als love your New Stitch series. TY so much for all you share with us. Donna
I don’t know how to add a picture, but I used the same kickball yarn and made my daughter a king size blanket using this pattern she loved it. Thank you for the tutorial.
I sooo wanted to make this!! I looked in my yarn stash and what do you know I had 6 skeins of premier puzzle yarn!! Colorway backgammon! I couldn’t find my hooks so I’m using a 6.5mm/K hook.
Hi, I only have four skeins of the puzzle yarn. I'm halfway through and it looks like I will get 72 rows but I won't have any yarn left over for the border. What do you suggest I do? I don't know how much yarn the border is going to take so I don't know how many rows to do before ending off.
you can either keep crocheting to make it 72 rows and do not put a border on it, You will probably need about 3/4 to a full skein for the border, so if you make it shorter, you may have to adjust the border. Premier came out with a solid Puzzle yarn, you may want to order a matching skein of the solid that matches and do a solid border.
O my goodness!!! I think this might be my favorite pattern I have seen. And your yarn choice is perfect. I’m just speechless. This is beautiful. Thank you for teaching us how to make it.
This is one of a few videos I have watched you teaching crochet - I have to say that I appreciate your attention to detail and you have a very calm, soothing voice :-) Thanks so much!😘😘
Glenda, thank you so much for featuring Premier Puzzle Yarn in this inspiring tutorial! What a perfect pattern for the Fall Season! You are such an amazing educator! Very Impressive pattern and Tutorial!
I don't have enough yarn to do the border in the same color so I have chosen a contrasting color. Should I start the contrasting color for the border where you make the straight edge after row 72 or should I use the color of the blanket for the straight edge until I get to the corner and then attach the contrasting color?
If I decide not to do a border how would I do a straight edge for the last row of the blanket? Should I do the first row of the border to make a straight edge even though it won't technically match the bottom of the blanket or is there some other way I can make it look more like the bottom of the blanket?
Hi Glenda. I have been watching your channel for quite a few years and love all your tutorials. When I saw this Pumpkin Spice blanket as well as Peppermint Stripes blanket, I knew I had to make these. My granddaughter helped me decide which one to start with and Pumpkin Spice won! So I ordered the yarn and received it this past week. Started on it the day it came! I don’t crochet very fast when using larger yarns, so I only have about 20 rows done. But I also take breaks and work other projects, too. I think this is the most beautiful blanket I have ever made. Can’t wait until I finish it! Thanks Glenda for this wonderful tutorial.
I love this blanket and I'm making it right now. I just wish I had you to teach me personally when I'm ready for the border. I love your videos. I have saved this to my crochet library. Do you give lessons privately. I would pay to have you show me. I am totally self taught. I live in Pennsylvania and need a great teacher like you!!! Thank you for all your wonderful videos❤❤❤
Hola Glenda. My first row of the border is never the same amount of stitches on the sides. WOW, with this pattern, the border looks so easy and I will have an equal number of stitches on both sides. Looks great. This will be my next blanket. Thank you Creative Grandma.
Omg, needed an easy quick inexpensive afghan proget for my two teen grandchildren who will love it but treasure it, probably not! Definitely affordable, doable and your tutorial is top notch, ty! Tsm, subscribed!
I just finished this blanket and I loved making it!!! Thank you! I will be making another. But I wanted to say that I had purchased 6 skeins but only used 5 and my blanket came out to be around 49x 55. I don’t think my tension is that tight. It does have some stretch to it but I didn’t stretch it so that could affect it a little. It looks great!
Thank you so much, I have never crocheted before and I have just finished the pumpkin spice blanket . I am delighted with it. Your tutorial is very helpful and easy to understand. Looking forward to other projects on your channel.
This is a beautiful piece and I’m going to make a smaller version for my youngest granddaughter for Christmas. Thank you for sharing this awesome pattern.
I tried this stitch yesterday and am really enjoying it. I'm finding bulky, size 5 yarn, not my favorite but will continue on until I use the yarn purchased. Thank you.
Sooooo pretty! I am not a blanket making person! Don’t like making blankets! I will make them but not all the time due to being so time consuming! Thanks for the tutorial!! 💕💕
I just finished this afghan! I am so pleased with the yarn and how well it worked up. Thank you so much for reviewing the yarn and sharing the pattern!
