Crystal, I'm 72 years young and this has got to be one of the prettiest and easiest stitches I have ever seen. There maybe be other tutorials on this stitch but I can not find one that is open oyster. I love it. Thank you for sharing.
I'm making curtains for my shuttle bus. There are 10 windows that are close to the size of a baby blanket. I'm using gifted yarn and a different stitch pattern and colors for each window. I'm on the 3rd one now and have used bag o day tutorials for all of them. 🚌
This pattern is so fun! I just started crocheting it with an orange thread, and, even though I'm a beginner, I memorized it completely after watching the video 2 times. Thank you for sharing it, and I encourage anyone who wants to try - it's really fun and quite easy to get a hang of! 😊🧶🧶🧶
My granddaughter asked me for a blanket. She’s 5; so we picked out a yarn from YarnSnob and now we are trying to decide on the pattern. This looks like it may be the winner. Need something pretty and quick. As much as I love making them I hate that they take so long to finish. Thanks. Crystal ~ she loves mermaids and unicorns !
I love patterns like this they make up fast because you don’t have to work in the top of stitches! Thanks for sharing another great tutorial! Much love
Love this pattern, would love to use it on a blanket or spread but need to have some slower instruction to write it down or to do it a little slower to catch the pattern; it sounds ease but my fingers with arthritis do not work so fast. Thank you kindly

Lovely stitch, and so right for a scarf, Crystal. If anyone asks me where to go to learn to crochet I Always direct them to your channel for the best crochet tutorials. You truly are an excellent tutor for crocheting anything and everything.
Oh Crystal, this is great. I have been working on two granny square blankets but I need something to work on that is stimulating for my poor old brain. This stitch is interesting and fun looking. I do like the result. If it turns out like it should it will be a gift for a grand or great grand. ;) Thank you for being you🤎🤎. I don't watch yarn days, I have gone a little nutZZZ and realized what I had done when we started packing to move. But I do have some lovelies; Oh and all the new yarn......ah well. ;) Hugs❣
This is such a beautiful and deceptively easy stitch. Used this for my second crochet project ever and no one believed I had just gotten started now, working on my second scarf with it. Thanks so much what a great tutorial!
I haven’t seen a shell stitch I don’t love! They are so pretty and attention getting! Oh you’re using my favorite yarn (if I could choose just one). I hope they never discontinue True Blue! Thanks Crystal! This is so easy. For beginners out there, if you can do the FPDC, you’ll look like an expert using this lovely stitch!
I absolutely love this stitch!!! I made a practice blanket for my neighbors doggie, the edges are sharp and soooo even. I’m now working on a throw for my sister with a bulky yarn. It’s working up quickly and looks amazing. Thank you Crystal, I appreciate your time teaching us all this beautiful pattern. 😊
Thank you for this tutorial to jumpstart my crocheting after a hiatus. I've got a flight with long layover coming up and this will be a productive use of my time, with a gift at the end as a bonus.
Hi Crystal This is a beautiful stitch. I now know the front post dc. In our church group we make shawls for women who face tough times. This will be perfect for that project!
You can! Just give it a try you found crystal who is the best teacher on RUclips in my opinion and just start with learning to chain, then single crochet, and then choose an easy project like a washcloth and finish it and don’t worry if it’s not perfect just don’t give up. I learned from her and it’s exactly what I did and now I can crochet things without patterns and I have been only doing this for 3 years. I know nobody in real life but there’s so many nice people on here that will help you with questions. I just wanted to encourage you to try because I know you can do it! Much love
I planned on starting a new afghan today. I was going to do a C2C by horizontally, but I've changed my mind and my new afghan will be this stitch. Thank you. Have a nice day.
I absolutely love, love this stitch! I’m making baby blanket and plan to make an afghan as a Christmas gift. I know this video was posted over a year ago, but I saw it for the first time last week. It’s an easy & quick stitch that works up beautifully. Thank you 😊

Oh boy, Crystal. You did it again.....every time I watch a video I want to try crochet again. I can knit but have a hard time with crochet. Every project turns into a trapezoid. ☹️ I have to admit you made this look simple and I was able to follow along with the video. Let’s see what happens when I grab a hook and one of my ombre yarns! I so want to be able to make one of your gorgeous projects.
