I have done this stitch while trying to do another one and did not know name of this stitch, after I finished this stitch I did the other stitch, no one noticed the difference until I explained it to them some preferred one over other, some said did not matter

For fringe, I wrap lots of yarn around a book or piece of stiff cardboard, and then cut all the stands at the same time in the topside ( easiest), separate into pleasant groups, and trim the ends to even them up.
I haven't crocheted since 5th grade-- I am the definition of a beginner, and I just finished a perfect scarf for my godmother in just a few days (because I had to start over twice.) But this video is so well done! Thank you!

Do you have a recommendation for an easy and quick stitch for leg warmers? I wear thin leggings at work, as it is hot in there, but my legs freeze outside. Re the fringe -- the yarn was straight but the finished project had curly fringe. How did you makeit curly?
