- What is the difference between all these soaps?! Follow along as Joey explains how to choose the right car wash soap to achieve the best finish! The first step of the detailing flowchart is the wash, lift grime and filth with ease using your favorite Chemical Guys foaming wash and prevent swirls and scratches. Encapsulating foam lifts abrasive particles and safely guides them off of the surface with aid of a wash mitt or sponge. Depending on the situation, gloss enhancers or waxes are infused for a brilliant shine. Remove tough grime with concentrated cleaners such as Citrus Wash and Gloss or Tough Mudder. Need to remove old layers of glaze, sealant and wax for a fresh start? Clean Slate has you covered! Experiment with new soap combinations by checking out this link!!

This was a VERY helpful video. I would love to see this type of breakdown on all classes of your products. I'm a home/diy guy with several vehicles to maintain. Since I'm not a pro, I've found your product selection very difficult to navigate. This video solved that problem for me!

Glad you enjoyed the video!!
Very informative video! I love your products!
Thanks so much for the awesome feedback!
This was SOOOOO helpful. I've been looking for a breakdown like this for months now! Have you all ever thought about a certification program for your products? A blend of online learning modules like this that someone can go through to prove a certain level of product knowledge and understanding of different coatings, and proper techniques?
Hey! Check out Smart Detailing University for certification information.

My top 5 favorites is hydro suds, extreme body wash+wax, citrus wash & gloss, sticky snowball, and my personal favorite Honeydew snow foam

LOL those are your favorites because you have tried every brand on the market? Since you mentioned fiver favorites how many more than that have you wasted money on? 🤣

😆😆
Just bought one for my car, thanks for the vid
Enjoy your detailing products!
Will you do an updated video for tires/wheels. I would like to know what is best for not just Glossy rims but all others as well. Great Videos, very Informative!!
Great suggestion!
Any suggestions for removing a hard sticky substance splattered on the paint? Idk for the life of me..what it could be but it will not budge with soap and water. Best description I can give would be like hard candy almost sealed into the clear coat. Im trying to keep from ruining the paint. Was thinking about the tar and bug removed but wanted to ask first. What would you suggest?
I have a vehicle with vinyl stripes. Will the black light soap be OK to use with the blue vinyl stripes?
Great video thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can I use Hydro Suds all the time or should I start with that and maintenance with something else?
Great video
Great video, helps me out a bunch before I order. I have a 2017 Audi that is black. It has existing water spots, what do you recommend I use to remove those?
Hey! Check out Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover to gently scrub away stubborn stains.
if I use the black light, can i use the speed wipe after? or do i not need it?
Best ever mr. Pink
Gotta love Mr. Pink!!
I have a question:
So, the Tough Mudder soap for cleaning off road vehicles.
Do you use it in a foam sprayer as a kind of prewash, and then go back and use just the soap to wah the vehicle?
I'm not sure I understand the application of the foam. Wouldn't the soap dry before you were able to make it around the entire vehicle to wash it?
Hello my friend , I hope you are doing well. I have been watching some many videos on which one is the best soap however, nobody talks about eco-friendly products. Do you have any suggestions?
What products are safe for PPF wraps?
I have a 2017 kia soul. It says that it's layered with multiple clear coats. What cleaner is best for this particular vehicle. It's black paint by the way. I watch you guys videos all the time. And want to get involved with you guys. I really would love to hear back from you guys. Need to drop by one of your locations. Again I long to learn about all the products and run my own detail gig. You are the best in my book.
Just use plain water! Soap is absolutely not needed in any way! This is one of the greatest scams of all time!
Joey rock’n the beard!
😃
LOL as if beards are cool or something to be proud of? Wearing a bush on your face and thinking it looks good is proof the human race will take another 1,000 years to get out of kindergarten!
Hello am asking for the last list of names of all this soap
What about a car with full ppf that has ceramic inside of film. Is there a spray detailer to use after to keep up the ceramic coating in film.
Hey! Check out HydroSpeed to maintain your ceramic.
Hello, so I want to remove all the surface swirling marks etc. would I use the clean slate wash and then the ceramic wash? Or would use the clean slate mixed with the bug and tar remover. Then go with the clay bar and then compound polish and wax?
Hi Jesse! Use Clean Slate to remove old layers of glaze, sealant and wax before using the appropriate grade of clay bar. Next, inspect the paintwork to determine the level of compound or polish needed. It is always best to start with the least aggressive approach such as V36 Cutting Polish. Finish with your favorite coatings to lock in shine and repel harsh elements.
- CG Nick
When would you prefer the snow foam(first soap shown) vs black light if u have a all black car?
they are not here to answer questions they are here to sell you a product....period!
I'd love to see a video like this, but for y'all waxes and Polishes.
Great suggestion!
Defs !!! Do interior soaps/sprays pllleaseeee 🤌🏽🤌🏽🤌🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Happy detailing!
Obviously after Hydrosuds, what works best on a ceramic coat?
Gently clean and enhance your ceramic with Sudpreme!
Great! Very good guide, thanks a lot! You promised chapters in the video though!!! Where are the chapters? :-)
Check again!
I just want something to go with hydro speed after the wash. What’s your recommendation?
Hey! After washing the vehicle, apply HydroSlick to lock in shine and shield the surface from harsh elements. Then maintain gloss with HydroSpeed.
Could I mix the bug and tar wash with the sticky snowball snow foam in a foam cannon
Absolutely!
what soap would you recommend for someone that has a ceramic-pro ceramic coat on their car? something that doesn’t have any wax or gloss additives that can take away from the ceramic coats natural shine and protection abilities
Hi there! Check out HydroSuds to gently maintain ceramic coatings.
www.chemicalguys.com/hydrosuds-ceramic-carwash/CWS21216.html
If I have a matte finish, I should be using MM soap but should or would I ever need the ceramic or honeydew soap? Im building a kit now on the site so trying to think ahead.
Hey! Yes, Meticulous Matte Auto Wash and Meticulous Matte Spray Sealant to maintain your ride.
I had a motorcycle that is matte paintwork, which cleaning soap best suit for it? The paint pretty dirty for a very long period of time.
Hi there! Check out Meticulous Matte Auto Wash to gently clean and maintain a crisp matte finish.

If one just got a ceramic coating on a work truck with minimal dirt would you recommend a citrus wash & gloss or something else ? Or would that take away from the ceramic coat ?
LOL you have ceramic coating on your truck and you think you need soap to clean it! Car wash soap is one of the greatest scams of all time! Water is the only thing you need to clean your truck! How I been cleaning my cars for decades.....
Is the extreme wash and wax a good maintenance soap if my car doesn’t have any type of wax applied to it? Or is that more of a once a month thing and the honeydew the weeks between the extreme wash and wax?
Absolutely! Extreme Body Wash and Wax is an excellent choice for maintenance washes on coated and non-coated vehicles.
What is the best soap for XPEL PPF no ceramic coating
Hi there! Check out Extreme Body Wash and Wax to safely clean and enhance your vehicle.
I live in an apartment. Could I use the clean slate and then follow it up with rinse free before a detail?
Absolutely!
How often should you use hydro studs??
Hey! Use HydroSuds as often as desired or as little as once every couple of months to boost ceramic properties.
Can you use the Hydrofoam over a graphene coating?
Hi there! Yes, HydroSuds is safe for coatings.
What do I use for removal of water spots
Hey Ryan! Check out Heavy Duty Water Spot Remover.
www.chemicalguys.com/heavy-duty-water-spot-remover/water-spot-remover.html
Those clean slate takes off the ceramic coating?
Hey! Clean Slate will not remove ceramic, machine polishing or natural degradation will remove ceramic.
Can (SPI21516) Decon Pro Iron Remover and Wheel Cleaner be used on polished wheels? Does it contain acid?
Hey! DeCon Iron Remover is safe for polished wheels.
@@ChemicalGuys thx
Should you rinse your car 1st before using a foam cannon? Or do you foam directly on a dry dirty car, that has bugs and bird droppings?
Pre rinse car to remove loose dirt an debris
Will the Blueberry Snowfoam ever come in gallon form?
Great idea!
U need to do this for every line. I own around 30 different cg products and was about to stop buying them because I did not know what the differences are.
Thanks so much for your feedback, stay tuned!
LOL 30 different products.....just to clean your car and make it shine? Boy have you been a sucker and scammed! Did you know that you don't need any soap at all to clean your car? I have never used soap....only water and my cars have always been the most beautiful and shiny cars in town!
Is waterless solution safe as all the other soaps?
Hey! We used correctly, waterless wash solutions are a great alternative to traditional washes.
Got a few cars to sample on, smart.
Happy detailing!
What's the best soap for a white car
Hello! Enhance shine with Citrus Wash and Gloss!!
I have a 2015 black BMW, it has water spots that can not be removed, I had it detailed and spots remain. Car wash guy says it needs a paint job.
Hey! Water spots that have been left untreated for long enough will etch the clear coat, using a compound such as V34 may help to restore shine.
Do you deliver to the UK?
Hey! You can order via Chemical Guys UK. Thanks for watching!
What if I am prepping for vinyl wrap installation?
Hey! Thoroughly cleanse the surface with Clean Slate to ensure a durable bond with the wrap.
@@ChemicalGuys would I mix it with any other soap too or detail it first normally and then use the clean slate separately? Thank you for the quick response.
Can I use any of those soap under the sun?
Hey! It is best to work in a shaded area when the surface of the vehicle is cool to the touch.
do interior cleaners plz
Great suggestion!

Question: which one is the best product to clean on a daily basis Tesla seats? (the vegan/fake leather). Thank you !!
Hi Paul! Use Total Interior to clean and maintain your interior.
@@ChemicalGuys Thank you! Since I posted the question, I have already got Sprayable Leather, did not use it yet. Do you think can work on the Tesla? If not, I keep it for my other car and get the Total Interior.
