Guys this is why we should never stop watching Pan. The products and technology for this industry are always improving, and with new releases, we need to stay up to date. Also because Pan's The Plan for Auto Detailing That's Grand!
Just a quick note that your messages are getting through. It's quite overwhelming trying to sort through the literally thousands of products out there, your channel makes it so much easier. I'm glad that you have the background that you do, I feel as though I can rely on your word with much more certainty than many of the other channels out there. You also bring with that knowledge the spirit of fun, you obviously love what you do and it's very catching. Thanks, Pan! Enjoying your channel and a huge shout-out to your girlfriend's excellent photography, she's great at what she does, and it makes your channel one of the very best out there. Send her our thanks.
I recently really got into detailing and you have been a huge inspiration! I did my first coating with Gyeon Pure EVO, and now I have sooo many Gyeon products 😁 recently was able to get my own cabinet to organize my microfibers as well and it is amazing. I used to have one shelf on an open rack and it was so cluttered and disorganized. Thank you for what you do, I have truly found a love for detailing. I may not do it at a professional level but I am finding joy in it, and I can't say that about many things.
Thanks! One of the goals of my channel is to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers, in hopes to give you guys the detailing bug and make it your passion too! It's such a soothing and relaxing experience for me to detail cars. By the way, how did you discover my channel? Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on RUclips as we surpassed 930,000 subscribers and we have over 122 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing.
I got Gyeon PPF coating on my front end PPF and Gyeon Wax on the rest of the car as teh new car had a paint sealant put on by dealer, but my work is amazing on it. Gyeon Trim and Can-Coat EVO going on the trims, front grille and last bit of areas. Very nice line of products.
Same deal with me. I started small with just a few products and now have a pressure sprayer, steam cleaner, polisher and everything between! I do my cars, my families cars, my friends cars, etc. I put my headphones on, get a podcast going and peacefully spend a few hours detailing over the weekend. It's fun.
Love your podcasts, no loud crap music, no goofy jive talk, and l do have a foam gun pressure washer, and l do find slick and slide turtle shampoo product very good with my black mustang, so keep bringing these excellent podcasts to us, thanks.😊
As usual Pan, you are answering the questions that I have and questions that I didn't know I had on using Snow Foam. I have a better understanding of the differences in PH Neutral, acidic and akaline as well as the need for pre-washing with Snow Foam. As a DIY'er, I learn so much watching your content. Thanks so much and keep these videos coming !
The community appreciates you doing in-depth videos like this Pan. I myself have learned a lot from you and channels like yours over the years and definitely have cut costs by using trusted and reviewed products instead of messing around with things that don't work. Thank you.
I have a mostly touchless method (using a foam canon) going with our Alfa Romeos, but with a couple of special requirements. First and foremost, we had our new house built with a drain and a hot/cold soft water supply. So no sunlight and no hard water, two of the most detrimental factors in my previous 45 years of cleaning cars. I rinse and clean with a pressure washer, which really gets the bug guts, mud and most surprisingly, a lot of the brake dust. The I use the Adam's foam canon using the wonderful Chemical Guys Honeydew soap. At this point, I only use a clean wet mitt to scrub the car, if it had dried road film/salt on it. Otherwise, I let it the foam dwell for 5 minutes or so. I thoroughly rinse with the pressure washer and blow dry. Once a month, I do a final (post blower dry) dry using microfiber towels and P&S Beadmaker. It works wonderfully. The only time I touch our cars 90% of the time is the post blow dry, final towel drying (which isn't much). I think that what makes this method really work is the soft water (an often overlooked issue, IMO) and the P&S Beadmaker. For me, the take-away is that minerals in the water (whether from the wash water supply or embedded in the the road grime) is the real enemy of a "touch-less" wash.
I tried the TW slick n slide car shampoo and I must confess I was very impressed by the end result. Snowfomed the truck dry, dwell for 5 mins, water pressure wash off and then used the TW slick n Slide. Hand Mitt for contact cleaning, water pressure wash off and then I used. Meguires Ceramic Wax Coating. The end results, after 2hours, was excellent. And today has been one of the dry days here in the UK as the last two weeks has been raining. Love the Videos and always a pleasure watching them.
@@PanTheOrganizer no! The thanks is down to you! You point out the products which offer good value for money or performance. Either way, your reviews are a “short-cut” through the confusing eco-system of products. Of course, being in the UK, I can look at what’s available and try it myself! Again, thanks for the videos!
I love snow foaming my car! I generally keep my car pretty clean and could probably do a rinseless wash but I enjoy getting out the foam cannon whenever I can. It’s something I enjoy doing at least once a week. Great video my friend. I always enjoy your uploads ☝️👏😃
I bought snowfoam years ago thinking that it would clean the car without touching it. BS! It's only great if your car sat in the garage clean and collected dust. That's about it. But like you said you have to be careful in the drying stages and use lubricants to prevent scratching. Thanks for your wisdom.
There are snow foams that actually do some deeper cleaning, but they are usually higher pH. Case in point, my video here: ruclips.net/video/I7z8ajojRVI/видео.htmlsi=zICnd7RDEnvEMcgU But regardless, a snow foam is just part of the prewash. You still have to follow with a contact wash if you want 100% clean results. There’s no such thing as a touchless car wash at the moment.
I garage my car and mainly use an ONR spray with soft TRC Spectrum 420 towels each time I go out. I only foam my Porsche down once a month now with my ceramic coating. So far so good. Not much road tar on my streets.
I absolutely take your points about pH neutral chemicals. However, I just go straight to BH Autofoam and adjust the dilution ratio. 4% winter 2% summer. And I now use it through an ik sprayer. It really is that good! As you say, go with what you enjoy!
Thanks for the video, Pan. I don't have the luxury of having running water at my apartment. My car cleaning process is taking my car to a DIY coin car wash. I'll foam the car using a Marolex Axel Foamer with a bit of Koch-Chemie GSF and a small amount of my APC to give it a bit of bite. I'll let the foam dwell for a bit and spray the car down using the pressure washer. Then I pull out of the bay and spray the car down with ONR out of a spray bottle and use my Ego blower to dry it off. I'll then drive the car home and and give it a rinseless contact wash. This has been working well for me.
Your detailing content and channel is absolutely the best I've ever came across. In depth information and products is awesome! Keep up the great work mate! 🔥👍

Thank you Pan, such great info! I live in Florida and have to wash my car outside, no shade. You really hit the nail on the head when you explained the Ph neutral soaps being important to keep away water spots ! After I do the pre-wash rinse, and then the contact wash itself (with Ph neutral soap), I use Formula 4 spray wax (10:2) in a foam cannon over the car before I rinse the soap away. Once it's applied, most of the soap starts rolling off the panel, making the final rinse a breeze AND any water that tries to dry on the panel are polymer spots that wipe away without effort. Thanks for what you do and share- you have made my weekend warrior details so much faster and more efficient !

Hi Pan, l have been valerting and detailing 16 year's, lm the lead Detailer at Aston Martin at HWM the oldest Aston Martin retailer in the UK. Love my job still doing it at 60 years ago.
I'm a strong believer of snow foams myself, they create a lot of lubricity to the surface, especially the ph-neutral ones, while lowering the risk of swirls and scratches👍🏻. Superb video Pan, like always❤
@@jezlucas3878 I mean you can use it like that as well and I personally think there's no right or wrong method here, just enjoy the detailing experience🙂. Sometimes I do use snow foams as extra lubrication during the contact wash stage, in conjunction with the car shampoo.
@@KonstaNykanen ok I did bring this up with John at forensic detailing but he suggested that shouldn't use a snowfoam as a shampoo for a contact was as doesn't have the same lubrication
Pan - just found your channel a few days ago and love the content! Subscribed! 😃 This was a timely video for me today as I used my foam cannon today on my Porsche for the first time, and for only the second time overall. I realize washing cars is like religion and politics - everyone has an opinion, none of which are wrong. For me, I just don’t see the benefit of using a foam cannon. My cars never get that dirty here in Florida, and I am religious about keeping them coated in graphene coatings. I get the need to lubricate the surface before washing, but I can get that with simply using a foam gun. No, I don’t get the thick blanket of foam, but the surface gets lubricated. I love washing/detail my cars, but pulling out my pressure washer (and putting it back), is a pain in the ass time-suck for me, and just isn’t worth the results. What I have been doing is using some extra Griots waterless car wash or some detailer spray on the surface after an initial hose-off before using a two-mit hand wash. Seems to do well. Again, just my personal experience. I respect people enjoying the satisfaction of seeing their cars blanketed in foam, it’s just a bridge too far for me. 😜 P.S. - LOVE your Aventurine Turbo S!
Great video Pan. I’ve noticed that European RUclipsrs do snow foam differently than Americans. They like a runny snow foam. They always rinse after applying a snow foam and then they don’t reapply it. Your method is similar to how Matt Moreman washes his cars(although you’re more thorough)
There are many ways to wash a car. There is not one single correct way. In fact, rarely do you see two channels wash cars the exact same way. I personally prefer a bit runnier foam (hence why I like the Bilt Hamber so much, and CarPro Lift) as they will drag the dirt down with them, but some prefer a thicker shaving cream like thickness. I don't really mind runny vs thick, as it comes down to personal preference. What's more important is what type of snow foam you are using. If it's a regular weekly maintenance, stick to pH neutral. If it's heavier grime removal, then aim for higher pH. As discussed in the video.
First off, grouping Americans in a single category is ridiculous, as Americans are all colors, races, creeds and ethnicities. That being said, everyone has their preferences. If you're happy with your results, do what you do. My favorite snow foam/pre-wash is Bilt Hamber Auto Foam which is very 'runny' but cleans like the dickens. But the traditional waxes I use don't care for it much so I use Turtle Wax Pure Wash as both my 'snow foam' and my bucket wash. Honestly it's on the runny side as well. I never cared for the 'shaving cream' type snow foams as they always felt to 'dry' for me. My car has been hit four times now parked at work, once I finally get it fixed and re-painted I'm going to use a ceramic coating and enjoy using the remainder of the BH Auto Foam gallon that's been sitting on my garage shelf
I'm a CARPRO person since they have it all 😁 so Descale is acid and I use it to clean waxed cars on which I will apply ceramic coating , LIFT is alcaine and I use it every 4-6 months on ceramic coated cars when I also use ironx to clean the coating so it can function properly again. and RESET is neutral. I love that it can also be used in a snow canon so I use it as added lubricant during maintenance wash because I get cars that are parked outside and the dust is "baked" into the clear coat and I honestly can't imagine just doing a contact wash without first spraying the foam, waiting few minutes to kind of "melt" and lubricate it, rinse it and then snow foam it again and do the contact wash with RESET in my backet. 😃 Great informative video, Pan! Thank you 👌🙂. Question - where would you put carpro iron snow soap? Added lubricant? Regular maintenance wash? Or with Lift every 4-6 months? Thank you! 🙂
I prefer to use the stronger IronX when I need to do chemical decon on customer vehicles. And my car has carbon ceramic brakes, so I don't have iron particles and brake dust, so no need for such soaps in my case. I guess I would use IronX Snow Soap once every other month on a vehicle with steel rotors perhaps, kind of like Gyeon Restart Wash.
Hi Pan ,if you say snow foam helps lubrication, but once you power wash it off, the lube has gone .Also, the thick foam that just sits there won't lift dirt ,i used to use a runnery foam ,but to be honest, i stopped using snow foam as it its another stage ,but i would jet wash the my truck then make my own foam/soap for a a contact wash ,thanks for all your hard work on these videos ,you have taught me so much ,and i am just about to get in to using a DA 🤘
Great content once again. I would love to see how a manual foam sprayer works with these shampoos Pan. I have tried 3 different soaps in my new Marolex foam sprayer (Marolex Axel FOAMER 2000) and I can't get it to spray consistently for more than 5 seconds. I have played around with the dilution and even reached out to Marolex via email, no support. I know you had a video on their products but not much of the foam sprayer. Thank you as always!

Your videos continue to help me improve my detail ability. This video is a perfect example of why i enjoy all your videos. In the off chance you view this. One problem I have had, and im not sure if its due to humidity or what the cause is. But when applying a Quick Detail spray or Ceramic Coat Boost spray. Occasionally i get that visible drying marks from spreading the product; especially when viewed in sun light it becomes evidently at times
Thanks! I don't have much details surrounding what exact products you're referring too and I can't see visually so it's hard to troubleshoot these things at a distance... Did you contact the brand of the specific product you are using?
Hey Pan, As it is winter and I am in the salt belt, I have a new vehicle that is past due for a wash. What foam, shampoo and drying agent do you recommend. Also, they only way I can wash my car is take to the local car wash and then wash by hand, so still waiting on that video to come out. Pan thank you so much! Cheers!
Thanks, Pan, for another consistently excellent video. One reason that I'm averse to using these highly acidic or alkaline detergents is because of the effect on rubber and plastic trim. If I were to use one, I would follow up the wash with an application of some protectant to the plastic and rubber to keep them from drying out.
I don't recommend using high or low pH snow foams on a regular basis. Use it on an as needed basis, every other month or when a deeper cleaning is needed. And in all these years of detailing, I have yet to see any uses once common sense is applied and the products are used correctly. I mean they were formulated by car detailing manufacturers that understand the surfaces well. We're not talking about using a house grade soap on a vehicle here. Automotive grade stuff made by reputable brands. For regular weekly washes though, all that is needed is a pH neutral snow foam, and pH neutral soap as I mentioned in the video. :)

I don't see many of these products on sale in the Netherlands, but I find Gyeon foam to be the best for me out of the ones I've tried. It works ok with a pump sprayer, better than some other brands. For efficiency, it makes removing eg dead insects and most of dirt quite easy when rinsing foam away. Not much dirt left for contact wash.
Look at bilt hamber products. Touchless and touch on are a good pre and main was for Europeans as good value. Gyeon as pan said are also very good options.
Another great content Pan. Can you please make a video about full car steam wash. I saw a video promoting optima steamer in India and South Korea about steam car was detailing. What’s your opinion man? Is steam safe on car paint ?
As water is a abundant natural ressource in Canada, we don't really use steam to wash cars, and I have no interest in that topic, so you won't see that on my channel unfortunately.
@@PanTheOrganizer no offence Pan, I wasn't trying to pick up a fight. I live in Australia and we have serious water restrictions during summer draught. I've seen other countries using steam to wash their cars in order to save water and use less toxic chemicals.
No offence taken hehe. I wasn’t mad at all. I just wanted to clarify why you didn’t see videos on that topic on my channel. ;) By the way, how did you discover my channel? Welcome to my channel. Hey Pan, not content related, but I like the video format you chose for this one. The brief personal intro and synopsis before even the Pan logo and theme was a welcome change. Cool that you're "switching it up" a bit.
East Texas is all sugar sand! I use snow foam to remove the sand that's likely on the vehicle to prevent scratching. I foam it dry, pressure rinse after a time, then hand wash without worry.
I have had a lot of luck with the 2 soap method. I am using a low pH soap followed immediately by a high pH soap. Then rinse with pressure washer. This gets me 98% of a completely clean car.
I have been using the MJJC Pro V2 Foam Cannon with the 1.1 orfice and Simoniz Platinum 2300 PSI 2.0 GPM Brushless Electric Pressure Washer from Canadian Tire and Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Super SUDS foaming shampoo wiht warm water in the bottle. Still searching for the right thicker foam, but I should measure in the bottle the right ratio instead of squirting some in. I also been using Silverwax Foam Load a higher PH pre wash like soap before when needed.
Wow i just learn that i am using Lift a little to much on the summer. I should switch to reset as a foam and clean the car. So i'll use Lift less or when car is really really bad. This is why the other product like Reload didn't stick 2-3 weeks: i was removed it with Lift each month...
Long had a nice new car, got back into car detailing after many years away. Only have a few items amd a small budget. I got a Karcher K4, MJJC snow cannon and a bottle of Turtle Wax Snow Foam Shampoo. All I'm doing right now is snow foaming and letting it dwell before rinsing and then snow foaming again and doing a contact wash, then dry with a microfibre towel. I find the pre rice foam gets rid of all that top surface and lose dirt off before doing the main contact wash. Car always comes out looking shiny and clean. Next upgrade will probably be a pH neutral shampoo for the contact wash. Although my water is quite soft, I still get some water spotting especially on the glass.
I have spoken about this in many videos already, including the foam cannon battle ones. Maintenance of a foam cannon is stupid simple, but must be done after EVERY use. Once you are done with the foam cannon, empty the container. Rinse it out, and fill it with clean warm water. Run that through the foam cannon for 30-45 seconds to make sure you flush out any remaining soap or residue out of the internals. After that, let the parts air dry, and ready for next use. I never had a foam cannon block up or clog.
If you want to try an almost touchless system, try Chem-X stars and stripes. I use it on everything from ceramic coated cars to big rigs without issues. Even their mitt wash can degrease a mining service truck.
Hi Pan. A Week ago i put gyeon can coat evo on a car. So for the touchless wash to get rid of that grime and dont touch the coating the carpro lift or gyeon foam will be good. Or i was thinking about use gyeon bug& grime as a prewash. What do you think.
For regular weekly washes, use a wax-free pH neutral soap. See my ceramic coating maintenance wash tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/IqIW78FmRYU/видео.htmlsi=Z-fsSftAMfUVHt9V Once in a while like in spring you can do a heavier deeper cleaning with higher or lower pH soaps like in my ultimate spring decon wash tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/oTaFE_p2OAw/видео.htmlsi=AE-ia7n83yufH9-C
What car soap is able to remove the most gunk and dirt but yet remains safe for ceramic coating? Something that can be used often, powerful on grime yet gentle on ceramic coated cars? Making the foam application remove 70% of that gunk before hand wash? Any recommendations?
As I said in the video, for regular weekly washes stick to pH neutral snow foams and shampoos. Once in a while for a deeper clean you can use the stronger snow foams on ceramic coated cars no problem. Bilt Hamber Touch-Less, CarPro Lift, Koch Chemie Active Foam, etc
I decided, with your help, to use Turtle wax hybred graphing flex as the base and the maintain with turtle wax graphing detainer to maintain. How often should I use the detainer? Every other wash? And how long, giver or take, to revolt the base application? I will also use a clay towel in between after washing. Do you see any problems with this plan? And thanks for your great product reviews.
You can use the detailer as often as you wish, but at least once a month is a good thing. Once every 7 to 8 months, reapply a base layer of the Flex Wax to maintain full performance.
What tool are you using to clean the wheels. My m2 has very limited space between the barrel of the rim and the rotor. I have black gloss wheels, scared to scratch them.
Great video! Having watched a previous video of on detailing a Volvo. I decided to try some of the product mentioned in that video. I start off with a dry vehicle, use bilt Hamber in a foam cannon and moved over to carpro descale for the two bucket wash. I used it in August. Since then I use carpro reset for my maintenance Wash. Works well for me.
Based on what I’ve seen, sometimes the prewash foams can work (pending brand) but with my car being covered in PPF it still clings to that fine sort of dust/dirt film . Usually comes off with the second stage foam hand wash (now if the thanksgiving long weekend weather plays ball)
Have been using CARPRO products lately and I can say its perfect and gorgeous! I saw you said to only use Lift for weekly basis, recently I have just use CARPRO Elixir on my non coated or ppf car, would like to know that is it safe to use it weekly or once per 2 week? There are some cars I don't drive daily but they are kept outdoors so is it safe to do weekly wash with Carpro lift on those too before I use reset to wash them?
I enjoy using snow foam. I like the look of a foamed car, it makes the garage smell nice during the wash, and for me, I foam the car, rinse, then foam again and do a bucket wash. So I have lots of lubrication. Overall it makes for a very pleasant experience.

When I dove into the detailing world I got a foam cannon and used it all the time. Along with the 2 bucket method. Neither of which I use now. If I can’t bust the dirt/debris off with a regular pre-wash rinse then a foam cannon certainly won’t help. Your videos are always worth a watch and I watch them for a lot of decision making when I am on the fence. Appreciate you, sir!
This video is great, a lot of info but amazing. Thanks!!! So to see if I understood correctly The high PH normally would be to remove that initial road grime so use with Foam Cannon and power wash off but to contact clean. With PH neutrals and I can also Use a Foam Cannon for lubrication when contact washing? I do not use the PH neutral snow foams as soap/shampoo correct, I need to use something as CarPro Reset in a bucket for actual contact cleaning? Thanks again for all the help Pan
Seems like you’re confused a bit. For the pre-wash for weekly washes, use a pH neutral snow foam. Then for the contact wash use what ever pH neutral shampoo you want. Once in a while, for deeper cleaning of grime and road film, you would use an alkaline pH snow foam for the pre-wash, followed by a pH neutral shampoo for the contact wash.
Hi Pan. Another very detailed video. I just had my vehicle ceramic coated with Opti-coat pro. Can I foam and wash my vehicle with Opti-coat M-wash on a regular basis? M-wash has a PH value of 6. Thanks for your time.
Yes you can. I had Opti-Coat Pro+ on my previous BMW M550i and had used M Wash in this video: ruclips.net/video/DxBdWQ2k9Tw/видео.htmlsi=D7lu-xkKdmFtFshU
@@PanTheOrganizer Thanks Pan. You mentioned a 1 month curing time. Do you recommend waiting a month before my first wash? Mine was the 5yr application.

So - your recommendation is snow foam, rinse off, snow foam again, leave on and perform contact was with car shampoo. For weekly wash using ph neutral, correct?
Weekly washes, pH neutral yes. Once in a while an alkaline pH snow foam is ok for deeper cleaning. For the wash procedure, there isn’t just one good method. Some like to foam, rinse, foam, wash. Some like to rinse, foam, rinse, wash. Some like to pre-treat with a rinseless wash, rinse, foam, rinse, foam, wash. Etc
In the spirit of just playing devil's advocate on one point - I think you could make an argument against applying the rinseless pre-treat or rinsing first. The way I look at it - the snow foam should be doing that job and putting something on before it would cause the foam to not cling as long and may also dilute it. I know Griots for one advocates applying their foam products to a dry car...
You always completely wash the car first, then use the iron remover like CarPro IronX, Gyeon Iron, etc. See how I fully detail cars in one of the videos below: Aston Martin Vantage: ruclips.net/video/OKga3yZVTqo/видео.html Volvo XC60: ruclips.net/video/tvDBBenhYFA/видео.html Tesla Model Y: ruclips.net/video/gohks8xP5NY/видео.html Porsche 911 Carrera: ruclips.net/video/2ckiivbFqs4/видео.html Mercedes AMG GT63S matte black: ruclips.net/video/eU8zg1lXvXY/видео.htmlsi=oGxoCp8PWt7gTncV Audi Q7: ruclips.net/video/t7HCBSVnizM/видео.html BMW M6 Gran Coupe: ruclips.net/video/0lC9uyKXs8Q/видео.html BMW M340i: ruclips.net/video/etXhJNaF0EE/видео.html Audi RS3: ruclips.net/video/641mAJfKDLM/видео.html Golf R: ruclips.net/video/jr19g4PWJsk/видео.html
Thank you Pan for another great video. Whats the main difference between Acidic and Alkaline shampoos? And which of these two is better in terms of cleaning power and not stripping ceramic coat, Carpro Lift or Carpro Reset? So many products and they seem highly similar 🤔🤷🏻♂️
If I am doing 2 foamings on my truck, first a touchless pre wash, then a contact wash with a mitt and bucket, Wouldn’t it be a good idea to use something like the Car Pro Descale first, and then the Adams car shampoo for the contact wash to take care of water spots?
You wouldn't use Descale for regular washes. You use it on an "as needed basis" as per their own instructions. Only when you see you have water spots, or mineral deposits, or before prepping a vehicle to receive a fresh layer of protection.
@@PanTheOrganizer Yes, I should have mentioned just using it once a month or so. But I was just wondering about the order of using the two being useful? 6 months ago I wouldn’t have even known to ask that question, But I have learned a lot from your videos and appreciate your responses! Thank you.👍
See how I would use the high pH snow foam and acid shampoo in the same wash by watching my ultimate spring cleaning tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/oTaFE_p2OAw/видео.htmlsi=myL6WgP09nUZmJpb
Great video Pan as usual. Thanks. So I will be receiving a brand new Matte paint car in the next month. I expect to ceramic coat it. I have Adam's car shampoo and CarPro Lift. If I understand, I should be using CArPro at first, then Iron and tar removal and Keyon soap before ceramic coating. Then for future wash, I should use Adam's. Does that make sense ?

Interested to see your opinions on the Koch Chemie RS which is their version of Descale. Just ordered a bottle since Descale is out of stock everywhere I get my detailing supplies from
This is a detailing channel so I'm constantly testing techniques and products. But my go-to snow foam and soap for regular washes are the following: Snow foam for foam cannon: bit.ly/3LjcEYv Shampoo for bucket: bit.ly/48fCHtf
Great review on snow foams, thx! One off-topic question - I have recently used CQ Quartz UK (2x) with CQ Quartz SiC as a topper. Super result! With Gliss v2 Hyperslick topper, I used to refresh every washing with CarPro Reload. " No need" says CarPro with SiC topper. Is that true for weeks/months to come or is that only for the first application? In short, is refreshing with Reload after each washing recommended even with CQ Quartz SiC topper?
You never need to use Reload after each weekly wash. That’s overkill. It is recommended to apply a topper once every 2-3 months in a coated car. In your case, that’s when I would apply Reload.
Great explanation as always Pan! For my new Porsche I had ppf installed and ceramic coating on top of it, and I wash it every other week (here in Israel it’s just dust not salt).. Am I doing the car good by using Nanolex foam concentrate (in a medium dilution) ? Will a medium diluted Carpro Lift for example, be as safe as a ph neutral foam?
CarPro Lift is still highly alkaline even when diluted, so no it's not meant for weekly washes like a traditional pH neutral shampoo. Use it on an "as needed basis" for deeper cleanings.
After listening to the the DIY detail discussion on 1 or 2 bucket wash I will be foaming 2 times. That dude has been detailing cars longer then I’ve been alive. Loses dirt is most likely rinsed off after firsts foam application. The second application provides tones of surfactant lubricant. Yvan Lacroix said most of us actually scratch our paint when drying. I always thought two buckets was kind of redundant. Just my useless 2¢.
Howmany ppm minerals should be there for cr spotless system before passing through? Like mine have about 600 to 700ppm. Would it still work or the resin will be exhausted sooner in that of hard water.
The harder the water, the quicker you will exhaust the resin, that goes without saying. But there is no minimum or maximum PPM before going through the DI system. The DI will take care of what ever water you have.
@@PanTheOrganizer I used regular auto soap and using it to do the washing. I would spray it on and wash that area then do the next part. So changing from foam cannon back to spray wand was not worth it. Now I know it is designed as a PRE wash.
You got any great suggestions on good measuring cups for the dilution ratios? Ones that can hold more liquid and where you can store solution in the bottle? I got the build Hamber and that things huge, hard to always pour it in a small measuring cup. Thanks!
I think you should foam and then with a regular waterhole rinse. I think using a hose with just the end of it (no attachment) instead of a hose gun which adds more pressure to the paint which in turn adds more pressure to the dirt is less likely to cause damage. Then I would spray APC and foam a second time and then I would contact wash. APC step could be done on the first foaming also.
cool insight about the specifics to the various products. as always very very informative video. the best detailing channel on the planet! what's your thoughts on using dishwashing soap in the canon for a deep deep clean before applying protection? i tried some Palmolive and dawn and they foam really well and smell is therapeutic. since they're super affordable compared to some dedicated car cleaning products
Dishwashing liquid is an old school trick from decades ago. Most stopped using that household item, in preference of actual stripping shampoos formulated for use on vehicles (Adam's Strip Wash, CarPro Descale, McKee's Coating Prep Shampoo, etc). And regardless what stripping shampoo you use, that only starts the braking down process of older protections. To ensure 100% removal, machine polishing is still needed.
I’m not a detailer but i wash My 3 Hellcat vehicles 2x a week and i have to wash outside. I like to pre rinse with water 1st. So it gets the paint temperature down to a normal temp. I have my hot water set up to it too so i can mix temp of my hose water to a Luke warm and i have a whole house water softener hooked to just the hot water side of my house. So I’m not shocking the paint temp either way with my rinse water. So it doesn’t matter if the car dries off a bit before i do the foam because the paint temp is still neutral temp. So i use Luke warm water to pre rinse-then do foam and let it sit for few then rinse again & wipe bottom of car all the way around-then foam again and hand wash whole thing. Been doing it for 3 years and no scratches and paint looks new. I have 2 that are that Diamond black which everyone i know has spider webs in it and i have a B5 blue one. No spider webs at all. I do use a touch free car wash place sometimes and they have an amazing wax it puts on. It’s called Cerama bond or Cera Bond or something like that and it’s amazing. Can’t buy it which sucks but this car wash charges double than everyone else but it really does a good job and does different spray techniques and different soft & heavy rain drop down effects on your car-it’s pretty clever. It’s weird that in my area in the last year they’ve put in 8 big fancy car washes in just a 1.5 mile radius and they are all touch car washes. How do car makers not say something about not washing your car this way. These places are jammed packed everyday all day-they are huge and have like 50 stations for you to do everything to your car after getting those brushes beat into your paint. Why do manufacturers not put these places out of business? I’m in Florida-a lot of electric cars start on fire -some places don’t allow electric cars and some say no Teslas specifically because of fire risk. Lol. Stupid electric cars. So yeah just yesterday i saw another touchless wash place get bought and they’re going to put in another brush wash place-unreal. There’s so many car washes people are starting to complain to zoning board. I’ve had paint go bad on some expensive vehicles in past and never used brush type washes & have had dealers give me fresh paint job for free under warranty but i bet if i went thru those brush car washes they wouldn’t have. Just keep in mind people-just because they make these washes doesn’t mean they’re good for your car and then the resale & warranty will cost you.

Guys this is why we should never stop watching Pan. The products and technology for this industry are always improving, and with new releases, we need to stay up to date. Also because Pan's The Plan for Auto Detailing That's Grand!
Thank you for using DIY Detail Incredible Suds. Great content as always.
Thank you! Cheers!
Hi Pan, once again you nocked it out of the park l am now more educated and am clearer on the process. Thank you
Just a quick note that your messages are getting through.

Thanks Steve!
You are so welcome! I appreciate the positive feedback!
The community appreciates you doing in-depth videos like this Pan. I myself have learned a lot from you and channels like yours over the years and definitely have cut costs by using trusted and reviewed products instead of messing around with things that don't work. Thank you.
I appreciate that!
Thanks for sharing!
@@PanTheOrganizer no! The thanks is down to you! You point out the products which offer good value for money or performance. Thanks!
Thanks for helping to support my channel!
I love snow foaming my car! I generally keep my car pretty clean and could probably do a rinseless wash but I enjoy getting out the foam cannon whenever I can. It’s something I enjoy doing at least once a week. Great video my friend. I always enjoy your uploads ☝️👏😃
Thanks Danny!
Comprehensive, explains the whole car wash process. Excellent recap of what, why and how the products are used to best effect.
Glad it was helpful!
Case in point, my video here: ruclips.net/video/I7z8ajojRVI/видео.htmlsi=zICnd7RDEnvEMcgU
But regardless, a snow foam is just part of the prewash.
Yup!

Thanks Sean!
Very good information for new people who are just starting in the industry. 10 out 10.

I'm a strong believer of snow foams myself, they create a lot of lubricity to the surface, especially the ph-neutral ones, while lowering the risk of swirls and scratches👍🏻. Superb video Pan, like always❤
Great point!
@@PanTheOrganizer 👍🏻❤️
You mean you use a snow foam and contact wash it?
Here most rinse foam then clean with a shampoo
@@jezlucas3878 I mean you can use it like that as well and I personally think there's no right or wrong method here, just enjoy the detailing experience🙂. Sometimes I do use snow foams as extra lubrication during the contact wash stage, in conjunction with the car shampoo.
@@KonstaNykanen ok I did bring this up with John at forensic detailing but he suggested that shouldn't use a snowfoam as a shampoo for a contact was as doesn't have the same lubrication
Love all your video. Man you explain things really well. Cheers from LV

Pan - just found your channel a few days ago and love the content!

This was a timely video for me today as I used my foam cannon today on my Porsche for the first time, and for only the second time overall.
P.S. - LOVE your Aventurine Turbo S!
Hi Pan, first I hope you and Isabelle are well. Your information is so valuable to DIY’ers and professionals.
Thanks William!
@@PanTheOrganizer thank you for the reply, Pan 🙂
👍🏻
Mr. Pan thank you sooooo much for the knowledge and wisdom. Really enjoy and respect everything you do and say. Much love and RESPECT

Cheers!
My fave shampoo is Waxedshine "wash". I also use Waxedshine glass cleaner as well.
Hi pan you have proof that snow foams work in past videos using the right products and techniques great job 👏
Yes! Thank you!
Thank you very much for the tutorial Mr Pan, it is like fresh air on a summer afternoon. Very well explained and of great interest. 👏

Gyeon Foam is very good too, so no worries!
CarPro is what I'm using in NL via Waxworld or Detailschuur. Not cheap but great!
I just wanted to clarify why you didn’t see videos on that topic on my channel. ;)

East Texas is all sugar sand! I use snow foam to remove the sand that's likely on the vehicle to prevent scratching. I foam it dry, pressure rinse after a time, then hand wash without worry.
Any suggestions on where to get spray bottle caps, pumps like tire sealant pumps, as well as pull tops?
I have had a lot of luck with the 2 soap method. I am using a low pH soap followed immediately by a high pH soap. Then rinse with pressure washer. This gets me 98% of a completely clean car.
Great video..answered a lot of questions l had regarding foaming.
Thanks
Thanks Fred!
Thanks for sharing.
Hi Pan you could you do a video on looking after your Foam cannon as some have filters that block up ect. Great video 👍
Hey pan. Should I use ph neutral car shampoo for ceramic coated car or any car shampoo would do?
For regular weekly washes, use a wax-free pH neutral soap. See my ceramic coating maintenance wash tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/IqIW78FmRYU/видео.htmlsi=Z-fsSftAMfUVHt9V
Once in a while like in spring you can do a heavier deeper cleaning with higher or lower pH soaps like in my ultimate spring decon wash tutorial here: ruclips.net/video/oTaFE_p2OAw/видео.htmlsi=AE-ia7n83yufH9-C
That car Pan!!! Great choice 👍👍👍
Glad you like it! 😊
Angie thanks for that great interview with Bob Tiffin

Thank you for breaking down the information. I appreciate your videos. Thank you.

On gloss black wheels, I would use these:

Microfiber brush for wheel barrel: bit.ly/3P2kl6m

Great video! Having watched a previous video of on detailing a Volvo. I decided to try some of the product mentioned in that video. I start off with a dry vehicle, use bilt Hamber in a foam cannon and moved over to carpro descale for the two bucket wash. I used it in August. Since then I use carpro reset for my maintenance Wash. Works well for me.
Thanks!
More great info form Pan as always. I never miss a show. I hope you hit 1 million subs soon.
Thanks Steve! We’ll hopefully surpass that mythical mark towards the end of 2024!
I enjoy using snow foam. I like the look of a foamed car, it makes the garage smell nice during the wash, and for me, I foam the car, rinse, then foam again and do a bucket wash. So I have lots of lubrication. Overall it makes for a very pleasant experience.
Thanks for sharing.

@@PanTheOrganizer - just popped up in my feed while researching foam cannons.
Great content. 👍
Great video. How warm the water do you recommend for using in a snow foam cannon?
The warmest you would use to wash your hands is enough.
Love this new type of video, very interesting!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks!
@@PanTheOrganizer seems I was pretty confused, Thanks
No worries, glad I could help.
Pan truly phenomenal tutorial today incredible thorough explanation. Could not have been better!
Thanks Tim! I appreciate the feedback.
Great video Pan, thank you

For me I use Bilt Hamber Touchless straight onto a dry vehicle. Nothing can touch this for performance. It makes the contact wash so much easier as it’s virtually clean after rinsing off.

I want a sugar based shampoo! Bilt Hamber, please, bring your products to Brazil!
Nice video Pan, as usual!
Thanks!

Pan, have you tried 3D Super Presoak? I’ve used it a few times now and so far, I’ve been impressed by the performance
I have not.
Pan, great info. If you were to use a spray-on iron remover in this prefoam, rinse ,foam, wash, rinse process, at what stage would you use it?
You always completely wash the car first, then use the iron remover like CarPro IronX, Gyeon Iron, etc.

If I am doing 2 foamings on my truck, first a touchless pre wash, then a contact wash with a mitt and bucket,
Wouldn’t it be a good idea to use something like the Car Pro Descale first, and then the Adams car shampoo
for the contact wash to take care of water spots?
You wouldn't use Descale for regular washes. You use it on an "as needed basis" as per their own instructions. Only when you see you have water spots, or mineral deposits, or before prepping a vehicle to receive a fresh layer of protection.
@@PanTheOrganizer Yes, I should have mentioned just using it once a month or so.
But I was just wondering about the order of using the two being useful?
6 months ago I wouldn’t have even known to ask that question,
But I have learned a lot from your videos and appreciate your responses!

Great video Pan as usual. Thanks. So I will be receiving a brand new Matte paint car in the next month. I expect to ceramic coat it. I have Adam's car shampoo and CarPro Lift. Interested to see your opinions on the Koch Chemie RS which is their version of Descale. Just ordered a bottle since Descale is out of stock everywhere I get my detailing supplies from
I haven’t tested KCx RS.
I wash at 6-7pm when the sun is out, put snow foam all over car, scrub with mit and rinse all the car together. Does the job pretty well
If you have to wash outside, late evening washes are the way to go. Good job!

This saves me time and money. Super, thanks!@@PanTheOrganizer
Again great video! Thank you for explaining this process and yes, I was using my foam cannon wrong!
Thanks Jim! How were you using your foam cannon the wrong way?
@@PanTheOrganizer I used regular auto soap and using it to do the washing. I would spray it on and wash that area then do the next part. So changing from foam cannon back to spray wand was not worth it. Now I know it is designed as a PRE wash.
You got any great suggestions on good measuring cups for the dilution ratios? Ones that can hold more liquid and where you can store solution in the bottle? I got the build Hamber and that things huge, hard to always pour it in a small measuring cup. Thanks!
amzn.to/3riIQUT
I think you should foam and then with a regular waterhole rinse. I think using a hose with just the end of it (no attachment) instead of a hose gun which adds more pressure to the paint which in turn adds more pressure to the dirt is less likely to cause damage. Then I would spray APC and foam a second time and then I would contact wash. APC step could be done on the first foaming also.
There are tons of ways to wash a car. There is no such thing as just one method. As long as people use safe washing and drying methods, it's all good.
cool insight about the specifics to the various products. as always very very informative video. the best detailing channel on the planet!
what's your thoughts on using dishwashing soap in the canon for a deep deep clean before applying protection? i tried some Palmolive and dawn and they foam really well and smell is therapeutic. since they're super affordable compared to some dedicated car cleaning products
Another excellent video. Historically I use Adam's strip wash but don't care for the formula. Would descale be a good alternative?
Yes Descale is my new go-to strip wash when doing a full car prep and detail. Just keep in mind machine polishing is still needed to ensure 100% removal of any previous protection.
