I have a double wammie having PCOS (hormonal), and finally, after almost 15 years of chronic pain diagnosed with axial spondyloarthritis (autoimmune). Both health issues react to inflammation/stress. Now that I know, I'm trying to navigate through what lifestyle changes that can support/manage both.

It took me 9 months to loose 23lbs with my PCOS. My insulin resistance makes loosing weight very hard. The first 6 months I was running on the treadmill and killing myself with cardio and doing little weights. This was effective in my younger days but not after developing pcos. I only lost about 10lbs that way.
But I listened to some of your videos and I cut back on cardio and started low intensity weighted exercises. Simple incline walk for 10-15 minutes and then I spend the remainder of my time (20-30 minutes) doing the weighted workouts. I found that the weight came off easier with that routine. 13 more lbs in only 3 months! I have along way to go but I’ve began taking ovasitol and I’m still consistent in the gym and eating better 2 out of 3 meals a day. Still working on binge eating at night, it’s all a work in progress!

I have a lot of trouble losing weight, I worked out for 2 and a half hours a day. I used to do low-fat diet and whole foods, then I switched to low-carb even though it was very difficult to lose weight Even my doctor told me to eat a high protein diet. I'm on a carnivore diet 2 months on the diet, my insulin, which was super high, dropped by half, other hormones, one went to the reference range and the other dropped too much. I'm going to do the carnivore diet for another 4 months, until the hormonal issue decreases, then I'll change to a low carb diet. I've done several physical activities, there was a time when I swam. There was another time that I nalahava in the gym for 2 and a half hours. There was a time when I walked. But always having a lot of difficulty losing weight. There was a time when I used metformin and I had a weight loss but it stagnated. What is helping me lose weight is the carnivore diet, not only lose weight but balance hormones

@@anandal1853 I'm a weight loss journey combined with my mental health journey. I'm 42 this month and along the way different things have come up with my weight, diet and activity level. I can't go full, carnivore, keto, dairy free or intermittent fasting. I have to take medication and I do a manual job which is a no-no in a fasted state. Keto makes my blood sugar drop too low. I need the protein in skimmed milk and yogurt. I have to eat healthy fats so low fat is not for me either. I suppose for me low-calorie works because I can eat a lot of food and it still be low calorie. I eat about 30-100 carbs daily. I eat about 100 to 130 protein and I snack on fruits and vegetables. Since reducing and stopping my mood stabliser my appetite has disappeared. Some people find that anti-depressants increase their appetite so look into psychotherapy and holistic methods to manage mental health problems so you can get off medications that are making you overweight/obese. I do about 10K steps a day on average just to keep my joints, muscles and mobility working because over 40 I'm at the stage of move it or lose it. I don't think weight loss is one size fits all, it's about finding out what works for your body and brain specifically and using those hacks.

Last year I gave up gluten - which is easier than ever these days with all these new options - and lost 40 lbs in 10 months. I did nothing else, no extra exercise or anything. Just giving up gluten got me down to a healthy weight. One of my biggest symptoms other than weight loss was that I’m no longer in pain! So much inflammation in my joints caused so much pain, my back always hurt! I’m so much better now.

I was diagnosed with PCOS just over a year ago and was told the pill was my only option. Due to bad experiences I didn't go onto it and just thought because I wasn't in a lot of pain around my period that the only related issues might be in the future having children. I've had a tough time the last while losing weight while working out 6x times a week and felt at my wit's end. I found your channel a couple of days ago and you've opened my eyes to symptoms I didn't even realise were due to my PCOS. It's so great as I don't feel alone and realise there is a solution to these issues I had just began to accept and feel hopeless over. Thank you so much for all that you do !

I have PCOS, I had to get a fist size tumor removed that latched on to my right ovary ,rt ovary removed and both fallopian tubes removed because the birth control caused this. I also had to get a vsg surgery to get me on the right road for weight loss. Today I started 15 mg phentermine capsule to help manage my weight loss surgery. I got diagnosed at 15 and a further 15 years of constantly having to work with it. I absolutely hate it. I thought it was hard before. But then I had a child and PCOS postpartum is waaay worse! 😭 I’ve never been this big in my life and I’ve always been overweight. My periods are lasting 2 weeks, I feel dizzy and tired all the time.
Everything I do doesn’t work. My PCOS is out of control. 😭
The doctor said there’s nothing they can do.

Yes, I feel the same way. After I had my daughter, it feels like it got worse. Ask to be referred to an endocrinologist, if your doctor or pcp is not giving you options then they might not be the best fit for you. Unfortunately, it takes time and research to find a good doctor who can explain and treat it.

I used to assume dairy and gluten was the cause to my inflammation too until I asked why they did. There’s an underlying reason behind it you’re not looking at. Gluten and dairy doesn’t cause these issues in a healthy gut unless there an actual allergy. For me the underlying reason was slow gut motility. Once I sped up my transit time almost all my food sensitivities were reversed including dairy and gluten. Keep asking yourselves questions friends, the buck doesn’t stop with trigger foods unless it’s caused by allergic reactions.

I’ve found that hiking doesn’t upset me and I think it’s the most practical kind of cardio. Maybe try stair stepper at a pace right for you? Slow cycling? I used to try running and intense rowing and it made my hair fall out. You will see it if you stress yourself out. Listen to and trust your body.

Is it possible to have PCOS if I still have a normal cycle ? I've been checked before and all I was told is that I have heritisim, and that was it?! So i started the spiriment tea, that helps a little...But I can't seem to drop weight no matter what I do....): I recently went GF DF per watching these videos. I just don't know what do anymore, these doctors are no help. 😣

Gluten free breads here are sooooooo expensive. 😢😢 I hope my income can sustain the lifestyle I want, but i cant😢😢 these simple steps are for rich people, or else I should just starve myself so I can avoid the foods that i have to avoid 😢😢

I really like Truvani! Pretty much as clean as it gets. It’s expensive but worth it. I like the vanilla a little better than the chocolate. It’s great with some nut milk, berries, seeds, etc. you’re kinda limited with what goes with chocolate but the vanilla is kinda more versatile in my opinion.
