Girl, I am 17 and I have never been pregnant. But I was overweight and struggled a lot with the way my body looked. I went from 175 pounds to 129 because of you. My doctor told me to not do any extreme dieting(Mediterranean Diet). But I had to move for 1 hour a day, doing your dance and walking workouts truly helped me. Although I’m a muscle mommy now, I still do your workouts on a fairly regular basis because they will always hold a special place in my heart. Have a blessed day!❤️

I feel upset that I gained it all back even though I am so happy to have had a surprise baby I feel like “ great I have to start all over again” and now I can’t find the motivation. But baby steps and Grace. God bless you !

At 22 I was in a serve car accident, and I broke my pelvis in 3 places. Was on a walker, then a cane. Before this I was running daily, biking you name it. Then I was 22 on a walker. It took a lot of work and the will of God to get through it. Im 24 now and I can walk, I can dance, bike, all the things. Im working slowly back to it. All praise to God. I just started your videos because I used to work out to a lot of worldly songs.. and I wanted more than that so I came and typed in gospel work out videos. Just like God knew there was a need and sent Jesus, there was a need in RUclips community for gospel dance workout videos. Thank you for following that leading. Praying healing over you and for a safe pregnancy for you. God bless.

11 minutes in and I don't know why this makes me so emotional to watch... With my last pregnancy I had gained over 70 lbs from being on bedrest. Family members were thoughtless, saying things like I finally lost that perfect girly shape and wasn't skinny anymore. My body really changed and it was so hard to bounce back. My feelings and thoughts were written off as just being shallow and as if I was making a big deal out of nothing - to just accept it as you get older and have children it's a natural part of life to gain weight and it happens to most women, so get over it. I don't think people realize how much it can affect your mental health when you feel like you have no control over your own body. Thank you so much for sharing. You're validating so many women who need it. 💖

this month I'm celebrating my one year of being consistent with Jo and it's been the most amazing journey. One of her videos appeared on my recommended section and I just tried it out. I fell in love with her energy and I promised myself I'd stay consistent, and here I am. I started off with no diet, just plain 20, maybe 30 minutes of exercising everyday for the first month. I quickly started to see results, I was feeling more confident and good about myself and that allowed me to start working on my diet.
One year later, I exercise 5 days a week with Jo and have 2 days of active recovery. I lost about 19 kilograms and many, many inches, reaching my goal. Thank you Jo

Thank you for being so candid! I’ve been able to start working out again thanks to your videos. I have never sweat like I have been in your classes. It feels so good! I can’t say thank you enough for your content and putting yourself out there. You are amazing, encouraging, and truly an inspiration. I suffer from ADHD and it impacts my life in so many ways, and one of the things I face is seeing the world black or white, in other words, all or nothing thinking. So my entire life I have dealt with starting things, exercising, hobbies, and stopped half way because if I missed one day that meant I failed, or couldn’t do it. It’s been a journey steering from that mentality but it is my default and has been for so many years. All of that to say, your content helps keep me engaged, focused, and the way your videos are structured hits all my ADHD check boxes that accommodate my senses to keep going. Your videos are fun, interactive, uplifting, and once I complete the workout it feels like a reward. This is the first time in over a decade where I have been able to stay consistent with working out and I actually look forward to doing it, which is also very new for me. So, THANK YOU! I can’t wait to share my progress with you some time from now. Wishing you the best.

Whew, girl! I really committed to a fitness journey a few years ago and was doing great. Then, I started having health issue and weight gain. Found out I had borderline tumors and needed 3 surgeries in a year, one fully open stomach surgery. I have a 10 inch scar on my belly and several other small scars. When I say I’ve been at my low, I mean it. Losing this weight and getting back to working out has been SOOOO hard. I’m going to try to do what you have said and just make small improvements. Thank you ❤️

I was 187lbs at 4'11. I was getting down on myself for feeling sluggish and just not being active/productive especially during PMS. I knew walking helps as it helped me in my teenage years. I started doing your workouts 2 weeks ago. This saturday will make week 3. I started by doing the dance workouts because they were only 15min. Then about mid week last week I started to double them or find a 20min slowly pushing myself. Now I have 1 day out the week where I challenge myself. I haven't looked at the scale yet cause i feel it's too early, and plus, i dont want to. My thing is to give myself time to progress, so I'll probably end up looking in the new year 😊. Thanks for this Jo and keep doing what you're doing!

Your videos are so fun I feel guilty afterwards like I didn’t get a good enough workout because they don’t feel like working out. I use to always think in order to have a “good workout” you have to be dying afterwards, but with you it’s not like that at all! Thanks for all you do! ❤

A woman shouldn't labour over 10hrs it's torture and not safe for the baby either then at the end we still go under the knife ... I experienced it for my first 3 days of preeclampsia with severe pain and after 3days of stimulation and induction I finally went under the knife and it was just a few mins😢
So no 10hrs is even too much 🙄

Hi Jo, I just love ❤️ your energy & the way you tell your story because it’s extremely relatable. I was never a personal trainer but I did lose around 60 pounds a year ago. Since then life hit…I got pregnant n lost my baby at 4 months pregnant-then I struggled with my relationship with my fiancé and with finances as well. I gained all my weight back and was feeling just as you described…but I decided to get back on track n “show up for myself!” I know that’s the most important part in the beginning- just to just START!! Then I can be consistent and build on my routine. Thank you for all you do in the community- I really appreciate you! ❤

It’s comforting to hear someone talk about this as a new mum that has just gone through a c section and I literally don’t recognise my body anymore. None of my clothes fit and you feel like you’ve lost your identity. When I express this to others , they just don’t get it- I’m still noticing new things about my postpartum body and it’s been 2 months- like rediscovering yourself.
Trying your work outs was so much fun and I’ve got a long way to go to feel somewhat normal but going to give it a try xx F

I found you last year around my birthday. I have been wanting to start working out after I gave birth to my second son in 2021. I night weaned him and my weight just skyrocketed as if I was 3rd trimester pregnant. I found other RUclipsrs before you but they were already super fit. I'm so glad I found you because you are relatable. We are both moms trying to find ourselves again after giving birth. I have been doing your RUclips workouts since then. Just few days ago my dad told me that I looked like I have lost some weight. It's true! I lost around 7-8 kg already doing only your workouts plus taking care of my nutrition. Some days I do the 20 minutes exercises but mostly the 10 minutes ones. But the point is being consistent. Ahh I want to give you a hug! Thank you so much Jo!

Back in December 2021 I came across your videos and just did some dance for fun, I was 72kg at that time ( during that time I tried Madfits' videos and started to love dance workouts). Up until now Im down to 58kg by mostly using your dance workouts before walking on treadmill. Ive had so much fun and so grateful to smile with you throughout my weightloss journey.
