That's the trucking industry these days. Professionalism and consideration are gone. And what's worse, some of these "trainers" are teaching the foolishness. I'm trying my best to get out of trucking.
I have to give a shout out to a Swift driver for helping me today. I was trying to back into a tight 90 degree spot at a crowded truckstop with traffic backed up because I'm simply in NO hurry to hit someone else's truck. After many GOAL's, I saw him jump out of his truck and guide me in. He wasn't even parked next to me, just a fellow trucker doing what trucker's used to always do: help one another!

Looks to me like there are plenty more OTR drivers being boneheads than day cabs, check the footage!
The OTR trucks are about to get banned from overnight parking at a 24 hour store/restaurant because the day cab drivers from the industrial park next door can’t get in there to buy lunch/stuff. Because they’re parked on corners and in places where they don’t belong. Plus the OTR trucks have absolutely destroyed the property.
@kyleburns5772 If you think for a second that day cab drivers don't block the driveway either or trash that parking lot, you're living in ignorance. Can't tell you how many times my door at a shipper or drop lot entrance was blocked by a day cab driver. They're just as guilty as otr drivers

@@BigWolfBoy50 This is the problem. I have heard of some ELDs that put you back into Driving status as soon as the truck moves-in fact I had one a few years back. I took a 28 minute break on a loading dock and then moved 10 feet to shut my doors. It immediately put me on Driving and I had to start my 30 all over. However, that being said, I NEVER took my 30 on a fuel island. That is just ignorance and selfishness! We are living in a society that is full of narcissists.

Yes,it better pay well to run a Garbage truck they really stink in the Hot Summer time and it oozes a slime out the rear that is very offensive to put it mildly

Tips for new drivers; use all the available space when turning out of a spot or in general & always watch your mirrors
When I was new, I had an old timer tell me if theres a 100 ft, use a 100 feet. If there’s 200 ft use 200 ft. Don’t cheat yourself on space

As a former CNG guy, he might be waiting to use the brush to scrub the bugs off his windshield. Most of the cng fuel stops are 2 pumps in a gravel lot and thats it. No bathrooms, no convenience store, no window washin bucket. It's a huge headache...
They'll hire anyone to drive anymore, don't speak English, criminals, it's awful on the road. Feel really bad for true truck drivers,God be with y'all on the road and Happy Easter

I've already run two Mexicans out of truck stops by quoting pgs. 365-366 of the DOT handbook saying if a CDL holder can't read street signs written in English, they can get their CDL revoked.

34 years ago when I started driving, trucking was fun and respectful. After 2005 the trucking industry was starting to go down the pottyhole. The last few years is getting worse.

I am so damn glad I retired and not dealing with these idiots anymore. Trucking used to be good. Drivers had respect, they used to help each other and gave you plenty room when they passed you and nobody was wearing flip flops. I dont miss it one little bit!

Some CNG trucks have a 50gal diesel tanks for back up in case the CNG runs out , it is just a matter of a switch flip between the 2 best done while idling.

Smart. Makes sense
CNG uses spark plugs and lower compression than a diesel engine. There is not enough compression in a CNG engine to ignite diesel. Most CNG vehicles do have a gas tank as a backup, not diesel.

Most pull across other trucks in parking lots is because its still designed for cabovers with max 48ft. The truck stops dont want to lose revenue if they painted them for 260in wheel base and 53 ft. Some do but its why its very tight
Yesterday, I watched a gentleman spill fuel all over his tanks. He then proceeded to utilize the window squeegee to clean off the mess. So, if your windows are greasy from the Pilot in beaver dam Ohio, you have my sympathy.

The other night I was at Flying J washing my hands and I could hear someone in the stall taking a bird bath. Then an African guy comes out wearing flip flops that are soaking wet and he had a toothbrush in his mouth brushing his teeth!!
I try not to park in an outside corner any more, due to getting my hood taken off. Parked on outsde corner at the FJ, in Wichester, Va. In broad daylight, in the morning, had a Westrn Express catch me with the trailer, just behind the dolly, mind you, justa draggin' my tractor over. Had an on board camera, so safety dept rwally got a kick out of me cussin' and rippin' on my air horns, while bouncing! This was years ago, but would've fun to share with y'all!

every non speaking english driver that comes to our location always has on FLIP FLOPS!!!!!!!!! why? and how do they pass the test or drive across american and speak NO ENGLISH?????? but will yell at us for not speaking their language or buying with my money a translator. why is it our fault. I doubt that they speak much Cherokee (yes I can but not really good) and what is it with this truck like that has pictures on the side of a man with a gun to his ear like a phone and looking at his watch with a trigger in his hand? I don't understand that one at all. no, this is not made up. we see them come in about twice a week. people in town have asked what is up with it.

I just found your channel today. I had to take a break from trucking many years ago, but am interested in getting my CDL again. Your channel is awesome. God bless you and your content. Very funny & entertaining.
So, every time I see a truck driving school at a truck stop. I want to tell the truth to these future drivers. But they'll find out sooner or later.
And keep in mind, today's trucking industry, whether your local or OTR, you're on a time clock system. 14 consecutive hours rule is a time clock system. Locals may work 8, 10 or 12 hour days? OTR has 14 hour days and drive up to 11 hours if available. Or park it for 34 hour reset 70 hour 8 day rule. Hopefully it's at the home twenty not a truck stop. Keep in mind, you're not making any money parked for 34 hours.

Actually, there is an auxiliary diesel tank on one side for when you are somewhere there isn't LNG available.

Have you ever noticed how most U.S.MAIL drivers seem to have "Naturalization Status? Yes! Just like this driver carrying our U.S.MAIL she seems to have that "Natural Entitlement Status" which justifies them to PARK ANYWHERE THEY FEEL LIKE AT ANY TIME. Does that Status come with a form of "Qualified Immunity"?
