Being a new driver two weeks on the road you have no idea how much I appreciate someone coming to help guide me in. It's mind blowing to me how many "truckers" I see sitting in their truck with their phone just waiting for a moment to record a new drivers mistake. So in all I appreciate those that take 5 minutes from their 10 hours to help me make sure I avoid an "avoidable accident"
Yes I use my goal but get too in my head sometimes when backing in packed truck stops. Lolol
I usually take 12 to 14 hours waiting on ya to mess up. 😅
driving a truck is simple, you either got it or you don't ... especially nowadays 99% of the places you'll ever go are designed for you to be able to get in and out with ease (the northeast being the only real exception) the problem is that most of these kids nowadays just don't "have it" ...
A 4 wheeler backing into a grocery store parking lot is likely to get spotted quicker than a truck driver these days.... everyone just wants something to post on the internet
I saw this poor kid trying to back into a real tight spot at a truck stop once. It was taking him forever and I was watching everyone else getting mad waiting on him or recording him. I simply asked if he wouldn’t mind letting me do it. I hopped in and got it pulled in for him. He was really appreciative. Being as flustered as he was and obviously nervous, there was no way he was getting it into that spot without damaging something.
Just a matter of time before one of these confrontations goes terribly wrong

Well, like I've posted before, back in the day, a buddy of mine watched one trucker stab another trucker in the eye with a screwdriver.
Although, most people would throw hands more back then than now.
The big change is there are astronaut truckers all over now, and they really won't think twice about attacking a person that confronts them if they are in a bad mood. If you watch a lot of these camera hounds, they already keep more distance from astronaut truckers and pick on the normal guys more.

🤔.. Confrontation and conflict do not go wrong. Someone getting hurt in a confrontation or conflict should be an accepted part of reality. That's not saying all of them end in that manner. However, if you're going to initiate confrontation or conflict without understanding that one of the consequences is violent.... You're the bonehead.

I was about to say the same thing. If I’m exhausted and/or times about to go out. And there is parking there. I’m gonna park. And I wish someone would say saying. Especially seeing that this guy talking looks like he maybe has a 15” ft and truck. He could park anywhere he desires. Can’t really say that with a 53”.

It seems like the first bit of advice should have been "let's do this somewhere other than the fuel island." if she needs easy access to parts...she doesn't. A bit more walking will do her some good.
But, yes, I generally find people shoving cameras in other people's faces and yelling "bone head trucker" is pretty damn irritating.
I have back problems so walking for me is extremely painful. No I'm not fat but some of us drive a truck because we can't run marathons for a living. Some of us can not handle long walks. Insisting everyone who is fat should walk just because they are fat is insulting. I know a few runners who fell, then got fat. Yes I know this was pretty off topic

It just did. I can't remember if Ike showed it or mothertrucker did, but 2 drivers had an argument that ended in a shooting back in Ohio. Shooter just got caught and charged with murder. 2 lives destroyed over road rage.

Also RV guy is clearly unaware that truck drivers are on 11-hour driving and 14-hour on-duty clocks and cannot legally drive past the expiration of those clocks, while he faces no such limits. Parking is optional for RVs and mandatory for trucks, so trucks take precedence over RVs.
I don't usually comment but I had to this time.
What that RV driver in the first video fail to realize is that truck stop that provide RV parking make those of us do not have a detachable 53-foot trailer (IE: Day cab/extended cab box trucks, Straight Trucks, Hotshot, etc) Park in those RV- Designated spots on the gasoline pump side. They will literally bang on our window in the middle of the night (On a few occasions, even though I had paid for a bobtail spot!) I have My Class A with 3 of the 4 available endorsements & I choose to drive a Freightliner Cascadia straight truck because recently because I make more than when I drive a tractor/trailer (since the pandemic restrictions lifted, I should say) But when I'm in any Class B or Non-CDL vehicle I've been woken up during my 10hr sleeper
& "politely" ask us to move over to the RV spots (Yes, they offer to refund the Prime parking charge, In full) , In really busy locations, Its that store managements' attempt to free up the tractor trailer parking for those trucks with a '53 foot trailer attached. Instead of being filled beyond capacity with Straight Trucks or multiple bobtails taking a spot meant for a truck with attached trailer
VvSo, he can call us inconsiderate A$$holes or Boneheads all he wants, BUT, there are way more RV parks with utility hookups & shore power, than truck stops nationwide that those of us driving anything under '40 cannot pay & park at to complete our MANDATORY 10 hour sleeper berth.

We're busy expediting all those things that everyday people need/want to live Their happy little lives, And make it possible for you to spend your golden years driving an RV, Seeing The Nation & NOT BE WORKING OR REGULATED BY A STUPID ELECTRONIC LOG. If he's got an issue,Take it up with Pilot/Flying J since it's THEIR PARKING POLICY & not the hardworking men & women hauling their less-than-truckload on an expedited load (which means it's ALREADY LATE!)
As far as I can tell by the demeanor or his voice & how enraged he was that he couldn't park his RV for the evening, He's either broke or cheap...(possibly both) & simply doesn't want/can't pay the fee at an RV park. I think people need a reminder that even though truck stops allow recreational vehicles, They're first & foremost ARE TRUCK STOPS & FOR TRUCKERS. They're first priority isn't as a TRAVEL CENTER. That was just a marketing rebranding to expand their customer base but they'll always be for TRUCKERS FIRST!

Yes I agree. One time I was bobtail at a Loves and asked a manager where they wanted me to park since I didn't want to take up a full truck spot. They immediately pointed out the front door and said "Just take one of those RV spots, that's fine." So boneheaded RV dude, IT'S UPPER MANAGEMENT TELLING US TO PARK THERE.

Beginning 2024 per DOT, all trainers have to have 2 years experience in order to train other drivers. Took them long enough.
I happily park in “RV only spots” those morons piss me off all the time going 20 below the speed limit in the middle lane. Then they get a few spots in the car lot usually at pilots and flying J’s that are empty 95% of the time if trucks don’t park in them. They can get away parking anywhere way more easily and play stupid. I’m bobtail mostly and truckers will say why don’t you go park anywhere over taking a full spot and I always look for single pull throughs or spots where another bobtail can back up to me to save space first. Or bobtail parking obviously. RV’s and campers though, I know a few Walmarts that are cool with them but not a bobtail. I know I’ll get ticketed or booted and cops know it and we’ll be the first to get fucked. Fuck RV’s and campers.

One of my favorite truck stops recently started charging $10/ day and $15/ night parking so they could hire 2 people to clean up at night. Their corporate people showed up and complained about how dirty the lot was.

I guess the C.W. McCall glory days of trucking are long gone, and the great people, and characters along with it. No more convoys, or helping eachother out. It's every man for himself.
That was back in the day when truck drivers didn't all have phones, computers in the trucks linked to the internet, etc. When a truck breaks down, their shop knows about it before the truck driver in the truck does. Help is on its way within minutes. No need to stop and help, unless a truck is on fire or something. But just broken down, nah, he's got a phone, he can call for help. Times have changed drastically.
Yep! The Golden Age of Trucking is long gone, no more C.W. McCall, Red Solvine, Jerry Reed, or Merl Haggard, no more Highway Courtesy or Truck Stop Eticate, hell, no more manual transmissions!, just idiots holding steering wheels, mumble rap, and flip flops.
This video is a perfect example why I took a local job with my company. Washing trucks on fuel island, fixing broke bumpers on fuel island, washing dogs and cats, and feet, on fuel island.
We just somebody to pull up with a roach coach and start selling burritos on the fuel island. And if they did, I’d get a couple and break out my lawn chair.
As a truck driver, we HATE RVs on the road and at truck stops. No certs needed. Just buy the biggest 5th wheel possible and ACT like you know how to drive it while in everybodies way
In comment to the first clip at around 1:00 rv's do park in truck parking quite often, I see it all the time. As far as truckers in the RV section, I've talked to flying j managers before and they will allow trucks to park in unused RV spaces if the truck lot is full. They also allow bobtails to park in car parking at most flying j's

Yeah last two weeks the mobile pay wasn't working at loves so u had to walk in and pay I felt like a dick having to walk in and pay for fuel and taking more time then usual on the fuel island!

Old ass man, out there at a Love's near the Tennessee line, in West Virginia. Luckily, I don't take any shit, so I put my .45 barrel to his face and told him to walk. I've never seen a man so scared and defeated. He went from angry as hell because I called him out over the CB to walking away with his tail tucked between his legs. If you know how to throw hands and you have a good lawyer, there ain't a damn thing these dumbass bastards can do that'll be worth a damn.
They're not brave..I've seen too many call the cops or call the other person's job after they get a response they wasn't ready for... most of them are all talk... they're hoping because they have you on camera you won't hit them in the mouth.

As someone who walks their 5 lb dog at truck stops, leash your dog. I don't care if your dog is well behaved. I have already had to rescue my dog three times from dogs who were supposedly well-behaved. I now carry my weapon with me when I walk her and I will definitely put your dog down if I have to to save my dog.
RV guy apparently was too stupid to realize that some of them trucks have asphalt trailers that have propane heaters on them as well. That requires the trucks to be on that side to get to the propane fill.

@@byronhall391I fill up just almost everyday or every other day and I can say that 90% of the time it moves reasonably normal. The few times it seems to take longer than normal I don’t get bent out of shape and pull my phone out being karen. I wait a few more minutes then I proceed. Like the original post said, there is to many pump police.
Maybe approaching someone, respectfully, without a camera in their face, ask them if they're done would be a safer way.
Really, I kinda get the impression your one of those knotheads that takes his 30 min break in the fuel island, or leaves his truck in the fuel island to get a shower. Turned my first wheel April 1 1979 in Oakland California. I was ignorant and knew nothing about how to be a professional driver, but I was humble and respectful and asked lots of questions. My mentors were family men with class and integrity. 4 million miles later I avoid truck drivers and seldom interact with them. I’m sitting in my last Kenworth W900 L doing paper work waiting to be loaded in Seattle Washington. Most 2023 truck drivers belong in an insane asylum or prison. The industry is a disgrace. I’m looking 👀 forward to the end and retirement. Back in the day we were the respected “ Knights of the highway.”

@lynnb-TruckCastreauJr it makes me sad when I see some truckers scrubbing the sides of their truck with it because then they get dirty and tarred up and torn. I only use it on the windows and headlights so they don't get destroyed.
@@eagle25311 Same for me. I do my windows, mirrors, and because I live on a gravel road, I also do my license plate...but that's it! When I want my vehicle washed, I drive it to a washing station, or wash it at home with the hose and bucket of soapy water.

1:02 if I had a nickel for every time an RV could have parked in a million different spots other than a truck spot, but chose the last truck spot anyway, I'd have enough for coffee.
Here's my question, If we take a video of someone in gross violation (whether driving or at a truck stop) getting truck/driver identification and sending the said video over to the company listed on the truck, will anything such as some sort of repremand be given to the driver by said company?

That’s such a subjective question. The old adage “penz-on,” comes to mind.
“Penz-on,” who is in the seat when that letter or call, or video comes into the trucking company office.
Additional, if the driver is someone who the company wants to get rid of, then he’s gone.
If they want to keep him, or if they are hurting for drivers, they’ll keep him and ignore your reporting.
There's not many violations that can happen at a truck stop so management will likely laugh at your video and keep on with their day. If you film a truck doing something illegal going down the road with a date and time stamp and can make out the truck # likely there will be some reprimands but you won't hear about it.
Their companies don't care.

I took a 30 minute break at the pool island yesterday and today but because of the holiday the fuel island was really slow and there was nobody behind me the whole time, so there wasn’t any drama lol
Thats why our town fought so hard to keep the truck stops out...not to mention the serial killer truck driver that wandered from the truck stop and killed a woman...Bloomsbury NJ

I'm guessing the RV park wouldn't be full of piss bottles and bags of schizzle like the big time truck driver parks are.
I miss the days where if you wanted a cdl you had to read and speak English on top of the fact that you was trained the proper way instead of the wanna be trucker way
If you want to find parking your best bet is to get to the truck stop before 6pm and leave out at 4am. Not always an option but if it is, make it a priority.
6pm? Ive seen many truck stops full by 4pm. One I saw full at 2, and one I arrived there at noon and had to "make a spot".
@brandonhebert5485 well anytime your in a major city the truck stops are gonna be active. If you are on the highway or interstate it's a good general time period

Yea, when RVs stop parking in the truck lot we will stop parking in the rv spots. They have rv parks. Ohhh but you have to pay for those well when and Rv takes a free spot that means a truck has to park in a pay spot

There are many issues in the parking lots for commercial vehicles besides parking spaces. Until there is some sort of 'enforcement' by the 'Law', these issues will continue and get worse. But my favorite is still the 'driver' that urinated on the cement pillar at the fuel island. Why not take a 'shower' there also! some of you 'drivers' out there are something special!
The truck stops need to start handing out warnings. After one or two you're banned.

I say it everytime I see these videos. But, eventually these guys starting confrontations while recording are going to one day confront the wrong guy.
Yup. They need to mind their own business. It's remarkable that none of them have anywhere to be and always have time to record, but would lose it if they were recorded. Guaranteed they do stupid shit too but not everybody feels the need to record others.
