If you had any decency you’d lay off and let him over and then jump over to the hammer lane and pass him. #6 I hate to say it but I though she was hilarious. Dumb as hell but funny. @ShermanVonGee I agree that the FedEx truck obviously caught up to the other truck and the other truck could have just backed off enough to let him pass. Truck in the right lane was the bonehead.
i hope that last guy who ran over the tree got his cdl revoked because the camera footage shows he ran to the back and seen the damage and did a hit & run.

Number 5 should have just let him pass. If someone passes you to the point you’re looking left and seeing the end of a trailer and you don’t slow down you’re being petty.
You see this crap all the time, for miles and miles.
Don't blame Fed Ex. Other drivers will see your truck a little faster and won't back off just a lil and make a convoy of traffic in both lanes.

When i visited the United States in 1998 i noticed that the truckers drove like a king with such grace.
That was an inspiration for me when i was back home trucking in the Netherlands.
They still do. Unfortunately every now and then, you get drivers like this.

I am happily retired truck driver. 35 years trucking across Canada and the USA. Not one single scratch. But it is different reality these days. In good old days, we were called professional drivers. It doesn't apply anymore.

Are they hurting for drivers that bad that you don't even have to be able to back up to go on the road? I worked at a cola canning company in the warehouse at a young age. I think half my miles were in reverse the first 2 years.
I have a strong feeling she was playing dumb and was well aware of what was going on. I'm sure she's used that routine lots of times to get by on things as a woman trucker
There was a time when decent drivers drove for these companies,But because the owners wanted to be cheap with pay , They lost them .
I had a company owner tell me straight out he’d “let the truck I was driving for him at the time , Sit along side the fence line before he’d come through with 10 cents more”.
I quit him , then he called me personally begging me to return a couple yrs later.
He’s been out of business for nearly 8 yrs now .

She was right about not having to back up. Amazon doesn't allow drivers to back into the docks, you have to drop the trailer and one of their hostlers does it.

Many years ago I was parked at a small truck stop in Ferndale Washington. I observed another driver drop all his garbage on the ground as he exited the truck. He walked passed the garage can on his way into the building. In response to that I crazy glued his door locks.
Good way to land yourself in jail.
About P7: I could say a few things if German traffic law applied. I know it doesn't, but just for fun:
1. If I recall, there's a (possibly) unwritten rule that it should take no longer than 90 seconds for a truck like that to complete an overtake.
2. If there's very little to no traffic on the freeway/Autobahn, there's a rule in Germany that you always stay on the right lane.
3. There was a time where you could actually spot American trucks in Germany. I believe they were working for the local US military stations.

I just decided to start picking up trash on my way at to the truck stop. It isn’t much but if I do it often it will help! Started today!
I screw up on a regular basis, but nothing dramatic....I've been driving ten years or so, I've noticed a serious lack of patience and etiquette with more than a few drivers. Could be training, I don't know. I started through Central Refrigerated, then after SWIFT merger. Now at a small company doing hazmat. My truck is governed at 65, so I live in the slow lane. MOST non fleet trucks leave me in the weeds, so I flash lights, back off a little to let these slow pass guys back over quicker. Whatever I can do to make things easier. I mean, it won't kill me to be courteous. Some of the driving I witness is really disappointing. More accidents than should be. I realize with a hazmat load, entire road might be closed until cleanup completed, which could be a day, several days, which would really screw a lot of people over.
Worked for Jevic doing hazmat LTL and still remember training was every time you open the doors a spilled chemical could kill you
I took off with the diesel pump hose. 😂 I aint gonna lie. It was at the yard too. Man. I felt like a dingbat. Never got it in trouble. I fessed up. They just said. "Be more careful". That was Schneider @ a Walmart DC in 2014 . Sorry, Schneider!

If you're expecting other drivers to help you, then you aren't driving right from the getgo. The sooner people learn to help themselves as far as driving goes, the better.

@@joshuajackson5656 some of my biggest lessons I always remember were from another driver stopping to help me. You learn from these type of interactions. Instead of learning from a mistake. It happens but what’s wrong wit helping each other ?
@@yaddayamean7769 Most drivers(4 wheelers especially) have a "screw them" kind of attitude these days. So I don't expect a lot of millennial and gen z truck drivers to help anyone out. Heck, most of them can't even drive a stick(which most 18 wheelers are).

#3 is why there aren't many of the other kind of semis "cabovers" on the roads here in the USA🇺🇸 anymore like there use to be back in the 1980s & down because since cabovers have very little protection between the driver & the very front, the driver gets smashed. Not to forget the length & weight laws changed too by increasing both of those limits which eliminated the need for cabovers. One advantage cabovers have is they're easier to maneuver in than those conventional cabs.
I've watched quite a few of the crash testing videos of modern Euro style cabovers and they seem safer than our conventional rigs here in the US. I'm kinda envious of the trucks they have across the pond, aside from the more advanced tech and mechanical features, the fit and finish on their rigs inside and out just seems a lot nicer. The inside of my new Freightliner just seems like the interior was designed by Tupperware or Rubbermaid lol.. even looking inside other trucks Volvo, Mack, Peterbilt, KW just acres of ugly textured plastic everywhere.
I remember my grandpa's old KW's from when I was a kid, the whole interior was mostly upolstered, had a wood dash, lots of chrome/stainless, overall the interior was nicer and actually looked finished.

Bruh… #1 is insane. How do these people pass their tests???? Same for the chick that said she doesn’t know how to back up… they need to raise the cdl class a skill standards or somethin.
What they need to do is bring acquiring a CDL to the *federal* level. Now it's at the state level. Some states it's easy to get a CDL, if not by literal bribery. In Illinois where I got mine, you'd *never* get a CDL without knowing *everything* you should know.
@@stevennovakovich2525 If you have a CDL in Illinois and move to Oklahoma it transfers but if you move back to Illinois you have to go through all of the tests to get the CDL again.
When I got mine, you only had to know how to back up a pup. You don’t learn how to back up a 53 until you’re actually on the job.

It required several written tests, 7-point brake check, 120+ points of identifications of parts on a truck, and the driving portion which had several skills checks in the yard (blind side, sight side, backup), and the road check which included everything including stopping on side of highway and then getting back on highway and for me included having to get out of the truck and move a dead dog to the side of the road.

When you catch up to a driver on flat road but can’t pass that driver, that means the driver getting passed increased their speed during the pass. I hate that. The FedEx driver decided to scare the hell out of em for doing it. That’s why I no longer drive trucks governed under 75mph. A lotta drivers speed up when they’re being passed and you can get stuck in the hammer lane for miles pissing off the drivers behind you.
