Bonehead Truckers® | I am one of only people who will call out the bad things truckers do to ruin this industry. Bonehead Truckers® exposes the bad behavior of truck drivers.
Trucking Advice | Mixed is into the normal videos, I have been known to put out an occasional educational video. Even though I still have a lot to learn myself, the things I do talk about is stuff I've learned the hard way.

Idea for a new shirt "Real Truckers Trip Plan & never depend solely on GPS" LOL
No western xpress. Proud of my guys 💪🏽
That GPS didn’t mess you up, YOU messed up lol. Now you rolling a convertible 😂
Racist GPS..... its not your fault bro your just a 12 %er so just do what ever you want all the time hell why you even working just go do whatever you want all the time nothing will happen
He got one last ( G.O.A.L) but he failed to use it😂
Can you read I'm sure there was a sign that told how high the bridge was
@@billybillee8160black people rely on gps too much…too bad the gps are racist just like math
Any bridge built like that, you won't fit.
That's what you get when you look at the GPS more than the ROAD SIGNS!
How about the driver that pulled into the cul de sac and took out the trees? He needs more than GPS! What the heak was he thinking.
I started driving for Schneider in 1996. As a new driver I missed my turn near the old section of Philadelphia. When the road started to narrow I saw a police car parked at a McDonald's. Got out and spoke to one of the officers. They let me make three left hand turns around the block to get out. Another time in PA I set up to make the turn into the facility I was to deliver at and noticed the gate to the parking lot was locked. I pulled over, set out the triangles, and called the police. The officer came, laughing, took out a key and opened the gate. To be fair to Swift, I picked up an unbalanced load. I pulled into a rest area, not a truck stop. when two Swift driver's saw my dilemma they helped me arrange the load by hand to correct it. Those were the "good old days" of driving.
Swiftnaneigans
May I know you better
driving in the winter especially on I35 and I80 one needs combat pay. I was passed by trucks driving to fast for the conditions, was given a bad time on the radio and told most of the them I will see you down the road in a wreck. More then once this happened. Speed kills on ice, if the conditions are icy, park wait for it to clear. If dispatch says you have to go, tell them it is not safe. I even told one dispatcher, so if I go and mess up on the ice because it has to be there on time, is the accident going on your license or mine. In order to keep you CDL, you have to stand up to the idiot in dispatch who knows nothing of what you are doing. Do not be fearful of your job, if you get fired for it, the job was not worth having.
Driving a 4 wheeler in middle Tennessee last week was enough to give me ptsd
At 05:07 I'm in stitches over the way he blames his GPS for not alerting him to the risk of driving under a low bridge. 🤔😂
Proberly had the GPS set for car routed and didn't bother to acknowledge the multiple low clearance warning signs😂😂😂😂
I got my first Garmin in 2006. I READ the manual! First thing it said was to have an idea where you are going before using the device because it wasn't 100% correct!
If only they'd put a sign up indicating the low clearance for drivers.🤔
I'm still using my phone GPS and I only screwed up twice but no damage so far.
Typical steering wheel holder 😂😂😂
I start at DIX trucking soon as I do my CDL training 24 hour online class lol
Awe come on they're not that bad, at least they teach you to get out and look!
You gotta make sure to get your CDLs bro 💪
@@DC-nc9cn getting out to look is for losers 😅
The truck that made the U-trun in the cold-de-sack represents the modern day "truck drivers" perfectly!😂
Good thing he had his tandems slid forward or he never would have made it!🤪
8:23 -- at least he missed the hydrant.
@deanmeyer1815 I'm pretty sure he got fired for driving through a neighborhood. 18 wheelers are not allowed to drive through neighborhoods for that very reason.
@joshuajackson5656 where I'm at usually thier has to be a posted sign (no trucks or no thru trucks) but unless making a local delivery, you have no business in a residential area for sure... COMMON SENSE right.
@theglitch99 This guy wasn't making a delivery, though. He knew he screwed up going into a neighborhood with a cul-de-sac. His CDL should automatically be revoked for the damage he did.
The guy in the cul de sac actually did a lot less damage than I thought he would
When he was trying to make that U-turn, he probably said, "Man I wish the cabovers never phased out because they were easier to maneuver in."
No, pulled a rabbit out the ass if I ever saw one, that man need to be removed from bone head Truckers, no way you could see that electrical box hidden near the tree camouflage with a green cover, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 who's idea was that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I thought he was gonna take out the house tbh 😅
He is crying bc he knows that he has to pack up his truck and say goodbye 😂 😂😂😂
😂 THE NEW CONVERTIBLE 😂😂
Watching that one semi driver making a U turn in that cul-de-sac makes me wish the cabovers never would've phased out. Lol
Yes, a cul-de-sac full of parked 4-wheelers, the PERFECT place to attempt a U-turn! Brilliant, driver, just brilliant. 🙄
All things being fair its kind of douchey to park like that. I'm not even sure if its legal to park like that. I'm assuming that's a public road, its not their parking lot. Still why he didn't just back straight out and maybe gotten a neighbor to spot him, like hey you guys are all parked illegally here and I need to turn around 🤷♂
@@Nefvillea cul decsac in a residential area is not a place to turn around, cars or not.
Even with the cars there, that is a tight place to attempt that.
Which makes one wonder, why the hell was he driving in a residential area with a big truck anyway?
A small part of me is impressed that the driver didn't cause MAJOR property damage. Everything hit was so petty that the damage to the hedge might have the greatest monetary value.
Guy blames it on the GPS, like he didn't have a windshield to look out of. I was in New Jersey one time following the GPS. I come across a round-a-bout and it told me to take a right. I looked down that road, THROUGH MY WINDSHIELD, and seen a low bridge. I said, "Not only NO, but HELL NO". There was NO way I was going to do what the GPS told me to do. Uh uh. No way. Maybe if that guy would have done the same, all that would have been avoided. USE YOUR WINDSHIELD, NOT THE GPS.
Windshield and some common sense! TIFIFY
@@jmtpubscommon sense isn’t the right word for it. Because it’s not so common anymore. Also these folks have a hard time seeing out their windshield when their sphincter muscles are contracting around their neck.
Can we get more videos of drivers making saves?
2nd this. Epic win stuff.
HELL YEAH! I’d love to see that
Imagine blaming a gps for anything, that’s what women who suck at driving a 4 wheeler do
So as a new trucker, I can say you can't trust that GPS. You have to make good decisions. So if you choose to go all in and trust your GPS, you deserve the outcome.
I drove for Schneider (February 1990 - November 1991) International cab-overs with a chauffeur's license.
When you get a chance Ike, let drivers know that vehicles of all types have a center of gravity.
Like you say in your videos, "Slow Down In Those Curves Or In Those Turns"
There's a lot of negative thoughts and comments I want to say about this video, but I'll let the video speak for itself.
1 year and 7 Months til permanent retirement and I'll be subscribering to your channel and buying those awesome T-shirts.
I remember I saw cabovers everywhere back in those days. Nowadays the only cabovers I see on the roads are fire trucks, garbage trucks, yard spotters, crane trucks, front discharge cement trucks, concrete pumper trucks, & non semi ones like those smaller size trucks. Cabover semis were easier to maneuver in than conventional cab semis but the bad thing about them was if you get into a crash with a bonehead semi driver in one, you get smashed.
I remember one time I was driving empty on unfamiliar roads around Mechanicsburg, PA which had a ton of "no trucks" signs between me and my shipper. (neither GPS knew about em) Ended up at a 13'6" bridge that looked pretty sketchy. Used my eyes and went through at maybe 5mph on the wrong side of the road because it looked to have better clearance than on my side.
They tell new CDL initiates to be very wary of bridges, don't even trust the 13'6"'s. But most of all don't blindly trust the GPS.
Yep trindle rd I know that bridge I run that road every day it's like 13.10 I never had a problem with my 13.6 truck and trailer. And as far as the no trucks in mechanicsburg they just got tired of trucks running over every thing
LOL We are Dix trucking makes an appearance.
Although you shouldn't get yourself in that situation if you drove in without a problem you can back out without a problem. You may even need police to help you clear traffic but that's fine. People make mistakes and how you handle that mistake is what matters.
GPS didn't guide him to an early termination. That bridge height sign hanging down told him that ur bout to fk around and find out.
I like to think ill never be one of these people but I've been on the road for a year and i can understand the impatience i see in other truckers but i always keep in mind that safety is an attitude.
Quite the turning Radius in the cold-de-sack, minimal damage
Yea u gotta admit... that couldve been 10xs worse
😂 HE UNLOADING IN THAT HOOD😂
The bridge that guy hit was 10' 7" FYI. Was able to piece together where he was.
4:32, don't blame the GPS. It's all on you.
When I was looking for a place to lease my truck onto back in the early 2000s I passed on many of them, including Schneider, because in the contracts it was very clear that these companies were actively seeking reasons to delease trucks.
That said, there is exactly ZERO REASON to drop a trailer! I always made a conscious effort to, at the end of my day, setting the trailer brakes first then give a little tug with the tractor putting a light load against the dogs in my hitch making it nearly impossible for some dirt ball to walk by in the night and give the handle a jerk. I always did a good pre- and post-trip inspection, but this was just a little insurance policy that helped to prevent tampering with my hitch!
Keep up the great work Ike! I don't miss a single episode!!!!!
I am your favorite Danimal!
😮
I was somewhere in Vermont when my GPS took me down this road which was technically a highway. I thought no big deal till I seen a 11'6" bridge ahead. Of course I stopped. At night so couldn't see real well I had to call the police. The police were really cool and escorted me the over half mile point where I could turn around all going in reverse. Of course they looked at my log book and ran my License while all this was going on. At the end they handed me back my stuff and thanked me for not being stupid and make a mess.
That’s what happens when you buy a car gps or don’t set. The gps for trucks and set it properly. Oh and use something you don’t have (common sense)
The Dollar General is now offering "From Our Trailer To Yours" Home Delivery Service.
Yeap! I worked for Schneider for 7 years and is true, if you drop a trailer, you are fired; if you get caught making a U-Turn, you get fired.
Man I remember one time I was going down the road and I needed to go back down the other way I had to go 10 miles out the way just to get back where I started. It's told me you better not make no U-turn
Ike, here's a creepy thing. I've seen a couple of vids talking about laugh tracks on the TV of the 1950s. These were recorded and reused - well - whenever laughter was needed for TV, maybe up to today. Who knows, maybe even on this very video I just watched. What creeps me out is that this recorded laughter, used to enhance something, is the laughter of people who are, with few execeptions, dead. Dead people laughing to make us laugh. It's a weird world, man.
My truck GPS has tried a couple of times to take me down the wrong road. Common sense is all you need to take a quick look and say, nope.
Good thinking rookie 👿
@diabolivirtusen-tavares-ea4645 not a rookie. Been turning these wheels for 13 yrs now. Do I think I know everything? Nope. The day you think you know it all out here is the day the truck will bite you in the ass.
Shout out to that white convertible freightliner! Fancy rig there brother
quit Schneider on Xmas day. it was a decent run but the micromanaging is really bad now and for experienced drivers its a bit too much but i had a good dispatch just got tired of trucking
After 15 years I got tired of 64/65 mph gutless company trucks. I started driving for a smaller company that had large cars that weren't castrated.......what a difference.... climbing mountains fully loaded and still stay on the high side of the tranny, trucking was fun again but after 6 more years I hung up my "flip-flops"!!!!!
Yeah, im with schneider now. Probably the most irritating part of the job is going 65 and a 70 mph zone. 😂
I never knew that they paid breakdown pay I was out of work for almost 2 1/2 weeks because I got my truck service and it still wasn't working . They added $300 on my paycheck. That was pretty neat . I wasn't expecting anything at all
@@The1707regina👿
This is one of the absolute best videos you’ve released (audience laughter enhances the videos too).
Truck Companies, I don’t mind telling ya this .
You’re Doomed 😳
The u turn on the side street 😂😂😂
Oh boy 👦 10 years in trucking and I am thank to God never got stuck I learn from old foc because they have the real brain of trucking
That trc freight ad is hilarious 😂😂😂😂
I'll have to admit I dropped a trailer once and had to do the crank of shame lol
8 13 into video, guy in cul de sac, " if i damage something, it shouldn't have been there " put me on the floor laughing!!! Last 30 min of 10 hr. Break, going for short walk to get some blood flowing, love your channel, ......
@4:36 I felt the regret in that man's voice
It's my favorite company. Come on man.😂😂😂 I love it.
6:08 i cant believe he made that turn? LOL????? how didn't his lines snap? insane
Swifty Swift needs their own channel. They don't need real drivers, they need crash test dummies.
🤣💪👍👍
…and folks wonder why they want to automate.
I love this guy he wants to be on bonehead truckers he thinks it's an honor😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
How ever SHAME ON THE MESS BROTHER ❤
That orange semi dodging that guys shit was sick - good on him
This is my top two RUclipsrs. TanMan, and BoneHead Truckers . I made a lot of mistakes my first two and a half weeks by myself and i found this channel during my first month. I was like " i don't wanna be on bonehead truckers 🤦🏽♀️🤣"
That one black volvo bobtail is seriously something I see daily since I live around there on I-80/90 and I-80/94. The idiots I see here and being CDL holder for almost 3 years makes me glad I am not local
Yeah, that was a driverless trruck.
Stop blaming the GPS. If a bridge looks sketchy stop. You won't get fired of no one see you drop a trailer or you don't get filmed with a tractor/trailer.
Yes! You won’t get fired for stopping before the bridge and safely resolving the problem. But, you WILL MOST DEFINITELY be fired for hitting the bridge.
5:11 Yeah, ol' boy done eff'd up.
Happy Birthday. Just found your channel and love it.
Stupidity and smiles with coffee great job ike
Hey Ike, Good stuff this wed. That TRCANDME advertisement never gets old! You made him famous! It's so much better than having Dirty Mike doing it! That driver that listened to his GPS is in deep shit! He can't be that dumb coming up to a low overpass, I'm sure it was well marked! I guess he can work for SWIFT now.
This week was a good one. I'm still laughing 😂
2:41 Can't believe my eyes, a broke down truck put out their triangles. 95% of the drivers watching this have no idea what they are for.
“My GPS F’d me up!” Why in the seven hells is a truck driver using a GPS and not their Atlas?
Or that big clear thing in between the ceiling and the dashboard.
If I damage something, then ya know, it shouldn't have been there🤣
No excuse in this universe is acceptable for hitting low bridges, it is the responsibility of every truck driver to know the height of his truck/trailer or load, 13' 6" is the norm for reefer/dry van trailers. Parking lots, tankers, flatbeds, and coal buckets should also be aware of low bridges.
Agreed, sharonw, but sometimes the road has been repaved and a driver has no way to know that the clearance is no longer what is posted.
5:09 My GPS fuc*ed me up 🤔, WHAA??
NO DRIVER, you did that all by yourself 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ lol
And your soundtrack is most excellent as well. Thank you!
I think the truck at 2.22 has forgot to set his breaks
Getting fired from Schneider isn't any great loss💁♂️
My man blamed the GPS for buzz cutting his cab and trailer.😂
1:35 and 2:42 😂 best in crash reps
4:17 nice save indeed there driver
Just Got My C.D.L.S Start At DICKS Trucking On Monday!!! Wish Me Luck.
Orange truck tailgating and then crossing the gore area just got taught a lesson in patience. Do not cross the solid lines! They're there for a reason. Screw him.
All the signs and flashing lights and he still hit a low clearance and didn't he see it coming if he missed all the signs? Makes you wonder about people.
My guess is that driver was busy watching the TikkyTokky or a movie on his device

Trucking use to be a proud occupation...... 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I dropped a trailer at Schneider myself in my first year and yes I'm a bone head
I don't understand how people drop trailers? How does that happen? do they not put down the landing gear?
Also the guy that made his truck and trailer a chop top I bet he ain't got no panties on😊😂
Yooo!!😯 That money clip with the truck in the cul-de-sac was crazy.. You can’t make this stuff up, I honestly believe they are just giving away CDL’s at this point
All because they won’t/can’t back up.
That one in the dead...JUST BACK UP!!
I may not be a trucker, but was nearly a victim of one!! Nearly crushed me into road barriers several years ago! Luckily, I had good brakes!!
And the guy with all wordy dords look at it this way the bottom half is still good LMAO😂😂😂😂
P.S. IKE, YOU GOT AN AWESOME RUclips CHANNEL!!
Dollar General contracts CR England reefer division (out of west sacramento ). I worked those DG stores for 9 months. I resigned after I learned 2 drivers met their demise from milk rolltainers falling on them (lake isabella, ca and cabazon, ca) approximately 1000 lbs each. I had two separate occasions when they tipped over rolling them into the stores and one roll of the lift gate. risky work plus 1/2 the stores is blind side backing in "active" parking lots. much respect to drivers that "food" deliver because its hard work but not for me to lose my life getting crushed by milk. drive safe!
And I certainly won't mind paying to repair the guy's yard that I just backed my trailer through while trying to turn around in that little cul-de-sac!
I enjoy the laugh tracks
I saw a T/T do like that trash truck on a minivan in South Carolina about 20 years ago. The trailer landed on top of the minivan & you couldn't even see it. All you saw was a truck laid over. I just happened to see it happen.
Love how the dude screaming about the "GPS" screwing him up won't show the bridge and the sign probably still at the top telling you what the size was.
Can't blame a GPS when you have seeing balls
I worked at Schneider and never knew that one 😂but then again I never dropped a trailer with them and all trailers I have dropped I have managed to catch them and was never held liable for faulty fifth wheel locks
I've seen Drivers lose their trailers in the winter the jaws didn't lock all the way close.
I started trucking in 1995 never used a GPS , there's this thing call map books Rand McNally has a page with all your low clearance information so you can plan a safe travel to your destination, but all you high tech guys never saw a Rand McNally., 3 million miles never hit a bridge or runaway ramp just few speeding tickets. Learn a map book
Videos of the week ? How did I miss those, damn
gotta say, we snow-mexicans appreciate the the tips from dix trucking ...( and your new format )... seems there are a few candidates from here that should think of padding their resumes and go stateside ....
Shoot i did I 80 in IA recently and there was much more than Swifty Swift in the ditches geez i hate running that road in the winter then company wanted me to deadhead 250 miles empty to another shipper in -15 temps with blowing snow and slick roads with crosswinds, ignorant dispatchers that have never drove before have no clue how dangerous that is with no weight on the drives and yup as figured the drives were breaking loose just about every hill i hit. We just have so much stupid and ignorant people in the industry today then what is even more scary is seeing how reckless many fuel haulers are driving they used to have respect for what they are hauling knowing it could cost them their life.
You messed yourself up not the GPS you can clearly see that bridge is low
Well here is something to think about when ur gps doesn’t tell u about low clearances the smart thing to do is not to hit the bridge but stop and call the authorities true bone head 😂😂😂😂
I was there the day the Schneider deover dropped the trailer. Didn't see it happen but I left around the same time as they guys who were filming
Ike knows Schneider policy because he himself was once a bone head trucker 😂.
GPS sometimes is a headache 😢
I hate when my GPS drives my truck under a low bridge.
Hitting a low bridge on a bicycle path isn't going to look good on your resume
5:00 when you just bought a truck but don’t have a job anymore…
Quickest way to put a sunroof on a semi 😂
lmfaooo the dude that hit the bridge... ya didnt see the sign there?? it looks a bit small hahahahahah
The clip around 4:50, some companies tell the driver to follow the GPS exactly and don't go anywhere but where it tells you.
So they penalize the driver, and through sheer stupidity storm, force situations to happen.
But the usual thing is the driver just wasn't paying attention and didn't make sure the route was good.
Sure, but taking a few dollar pay cut for a detour is better than ending your career as a trucker permanently. If he couldn't tell that bridge was too low just by sight then he needs to be off the road no matter what, he shaved off at least 2 feet of truck and trailer, that wasn't even close to being a fit.
