Racist GPS..... its not your fault bro your just a 12 %er so just do what ever you want all the time hell why you even working just go do whatever you want all the time nothing will happen
I started driving for Schneider in 1996. As a new driver I missed my turn near the old section of Philadelphia. When the road started to narrow I saw a police car parked at a McDonald's. Got out and spoke to one of the officers. They let me make three left hand turns around the block to get out. Another time in PA I set up to make the turn into the facility I was to deliver at and noticed the gate to the parking lot was locked. I pulled over, set out the triangles, and called the police. The officer came, laughing, took out a key and opened the gate. To be fair to Swift, I picked up an unbalanced load. I pulled into a rest area, not a truck stop. when two Swift driver's saw my dilemma they helped me arrange the load by hand to correct it. Those were the "good old days" of driving.
driving in the winter especially on I35 and I80 one needs combat pay. I was passed by trucks driving to fast for the conditions, was given a bad time on the radio and told most of the them I will see you down the road in a wreck. More then once this happened. Speed kills on ice, if the conditions are icy, park wait for it to clear. If dispatch says you have to go, tell them it is not safe. I even told one dispatcher, so if I go and mess up on the ice because it has to be there on time, is the accident going on your license or mine. In order to keep you CDL, you have to stand up to the idiot in dispatch who knows nothing of what you are doing. Do not be fearful of your job, if you get fired for it, the job was not worth having.
I got my first Garmin in 2006. I READ the manual! First thing it said was to have an idea where you are going before using the device because it wasn't 100% correct!
@deanmeyer1815 I'm pretty sure he got fired for driving through a neighborhood. 18 wheelers are not allowed to drive through neighborhoods for that very reason.
@joshuajackson5656 where I'm at usually thier has to be a posted sign (no trucks or no thru trucks) but unless making a local delivery, you have no business in a residential area for sure... COMMON SENSE right.
@theglitch99 This guy wasn't making a delivery, though. He knew he screwed up going into a neighborhood with a cul-de-sac. His CDL should automatically be revoked for the damage he did.
No, pulled a rabbit out the ass if I ever saw one, that man need to be removed from bone head Truckers, no way you could see that electrical box hidden near the tree camouflage with a green cover, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 who's idea was that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
All things being fair its kind of douchey to park like that. I'm not even sure if its legal to park like that. I'm assuming that's a public road, its not their parking lot. Still why he didn't just back straight out and maybe gotten a neighbor to spot him, like hey you guys are all parked illegally here and I need to turn around 🤷♂
A small part of me is impressed that the driver didn't cause MAJOR property damage. Everything hit was so petty that the damage to the hedge might have the greatest monetary value.
I like to think ill never be one of these people but I've been on the road for a year and i can understand the impatience i see in other truckers but i always keep in mind that safety is an attitude.
So as a new trucker, I can say you can't trust that GPS. You have to make good decisions. So if you choose to go all in and trust your GPS, you deserve the outcome.
I was somewhere in Vermont when my GPS took me down this road which was technically a highway. I thought no big deal till I seen a 11'6" bridge ahead. Of course I stopped. At night so couldn't see real well I had to call the police. The police were really cool and escorted me the over half mile point where I could turn around all going in reverse. Of course they looked at my log book and ran my License while all this was going on. At the end they handed me back my stuff and thanked me for not being stupid and make a mess.
I drove for Schneider (February 1990 - November 1991) International cab-overs with a chauffeur's license. When you get a chance Ike, let drivers know that vehicles of all types have a center of gravity. Like you say in your videos, "Slow Down In Those Curves Or In Those Turns" There's a lot of negative thoughts and comments I want to say about this video, but I'll let the video speak for itself. 1 year and 7 Months til permanent retirement and I'll be subscribering to your channel and buying those awesome T-shirts.
I remember I saw cabovers everywhere back in those days. Nowadays the only cabovers I see on the roads are fire trucks, garbage trucks, yard spotters, crane trucks, front discharge cement trucks, concrete pumper trucks, & non semi ones like those smaller size trucks. Cabover semis were easier to maneuver in than conventional cab semis but the bad thing about them was if you get into a crash with a bonehead semi driver in one, you get smashed.
When I was looking for a place to lease my truck onto back in the early 2000s I passed on many of them, including Schneider, because in the contracts it was very clear that these companies were actively seeking reasons to delease trucks. That said, there is exactly ZERO REASON to drop a trailer! I always made a conscious effort to, at the end of my day, setting the trailer brakes first then give a little tug with the tractor putting a light load against the dogs in my hitch making it nearly impossible for some dirt ball to walk by in the night and give the handle a jerk. I always did a good pre- and post-trip inspection, but this was just a little insurance policy that helped to prevent tampering with my hitch! Keep up the great work Ike! I don't miss a single episode!!!!! I am your favorite Danimal!
Although you shouldn't get yourself in that situation if you drove in without a problem you can back out without a problem. You may even need police to help you clear traffic but that's fine. People make mistakes and how you handle that mistake is what matters.
I remember one time I was driving empty on unfamiliar roads around Mechanicsburg, PA which had a ton of "no trucks" signs between me and my shipper. (neither GPS knew about em) Ended up at a 13'6" bridge that looked pretty sketchy. Used my eyes and went through at maybe 5mph on the wrong side of the road because it looked to have better clearance than on my side. They tell new CDL initiates to be very wary of bridges, don't even trust the 13'6"'s. But most of all don't blindly trust the GPS.
Yep trindle rd I know that bridge I run that road every day it's like 13.10 I never had a problem with my 13.6 truck and trailer. And as far as the no trucks in mechanicsburg they just got tired of trucks running over every thing

Ike, here's a creepy thing. I've seen a couple of vids talking about laugh tracks on the TV of the 1950s. These were recorded and reused - well - whenever laughter was needed for TV, maybe up to today. Who knows, maybe even on this very video I just watched. What creeps me out is that this recorded laughter, used to enhance something, is the laughter of people who are, with few execeptions, dead. Dead people laughing to make us laugh. It's a weird world, man.

I started driving for a smaller company that had large cars that weren't castrated.......what a difference.... climbing mountains fully loaded and still stay on the high side of the tranny, trucking was fun again but after 6 more years I hung up my "flip-flops"!!!!!
Yeah, im with schneider now. Probably the most irritating part of the job is going 65 and a 70 mph zone. 😂 I never knew that they paid breakdown pay I was out of work for almost 2 1/2 weeks because I got my truck service and it still wasn't working . They added $300 on my paycheck. That was pretty neat . I wasn't expecting anything at all

Hey Ike, Good stuff this wed. That TRCANDME advertisement never gets old! You made him famous! It's so much better than having Dirty Mike doing it! That driver that listened to his GPS is in deep shit! He can't be that dumb coming up to a low overpass, I'm sure it was well marked! I guess he can work for SWIFT now.
No excuse in this universe is acceptable for hitting low bridges, it is the responsibility of every truck driver to know the height of his truck/trailer or load, 13' 6" is the norm for reefer/dry van trailers. Parking lots, tankers, flatbeds, and coal buckets should also be aware of low bridges.
Dollar General contracts CR England reefer division (out of west sacramento ). I worked those DG stores for 9 months. I resigned after I learned 2 drivers met their demise from milk rolltainers falling on them (lake isabella, ca and cabazon, ca) approximately 1000 lbs each. I had two separate occasions when they tipped over rolling them into the stores and one roll of the lift gate. risky work plus 1/2 the stores is blind side backing in "active" parking lots. much respect to drivers that "food" deliver because its hard work but not for me to lose my life getting crushed by milk. drive safe!
That one black volvo bobtail is seriously something I see daily since I live around there on I-80/90 and I-80/94. The idiots I see here and being CDL holder for almost 3 years makes me glad I am not local
Stop blaming the GPS. If a bridge looks sketchy stop. You won't get fired of no one see you drop a trailer or you don't get filmed with a tractor/trailer.
Yes! You won’t get fired for stopping before the bridge and safely resolving the problem. But, you WILL MOST DEFINITELY be fired for hitting the bridge.
When I first started driving, my gps wanted me to drive through a no truck zone. I couldn’t back up and if I would’ve kept going, I would’ve ran through a center median where the curb was 2 ft high. So I called a local police department and had them escort me out of that shxt hole. One of the officers told me that it’s really common and a lot of the trucks drive straight through that median and blow out their tires. I didn’t want to call them because I was scared that I would be getting a citation, which they didn’t,but glad I called!
I started trucking in 1995 never used a GPS , there's this thing call map books Rand McNally has a page with all your low clearance information so you can plan a safe travel to your destination, but all you high tech guys never saw a Rand McNally., 3 million miles never hit a bridge or runaway ramp just few speeding tickets. Yooo!!😯 That money clip with the truck in the cul-de-sac was crazy.. You can’t make this stuff up, I honestly believe they are just giving away CDL’s at this point
I worked at Schneider and never knew that one 😂but then again I never dropped a trailer with them and all trailers I have dropped I have managed to catch them and was never held liable for faulty fifth wheel locks
Orange truck tailgating and then crossing the gore area just got taught a lesson in patience. Do not cross the solid lines! They're there for a reason. Screw him.
gotta say, we snow-mexicans appreciate the the tips from dix trucking ...( and your new format )... seems there are a few candidates from here that should think of padding their resumes and go stateside ....
Well here is something to think about when ur gps doesn’t tell u about low clearances the smart thing to do is not to hit the bridge but stop and call the authorities true bone head 😂😂😂😂
I saw a T/T do like that trash truck on a minivan in South Carolina about 20 years ago. The trailer landed on top of the minivan & you couldn't even see it. All you saw was a truck laid over. I just happened to see it happen.
All the signs and flashing lights and he still hit a low clearance and didn't he see it coming if he missed all the signs? Makes you wonder about people.
Shoot i did I 80 in IA recently and there was much more than Swifty Swift in the ditches geez i hate running that road in the winter then company wanted me to deadhead 250 miles empty to another shipper in -15 temps with blowing snow and slick roads with crosswinds, ignorant dispatchers that have never drove before have no clue how dangerous that is with no weight on the drives and yup as figured the drives were breaking loose just about every hill i hit. We just have so much stupid and ignorant people in the industry today then what is even more scary is seeing how reckless many fuel haulers are driving they used to have respect for what they are hauling knowing it could cost them their life.

@@billybillee8160black people rely on gps too much…too bad the gps are racist just like math
Any bridge built like that, you won't fit.
That's what you get when you look at the GPS more than the ROAD SIGNS!
How about the driver that pulled into the cul de sac and took out the trees? He needs more than GPS! What the heak was he thinking.

Driving a 4 wheeler in middle Tennessee last week was enough to give me ptsd
At 05:07 I'm in stitches over the way he blames his GPS for not alerting him to the risk of driving under a low bridge. 🤔😂
Proberly had the GPS set for car routed and didn't bother to acknowledge the multiple low clearance warning signs😂😂😂😂
I got my first Garmin in 2006. I READ the manual! First thing it said was to have an idea where you are going before using the device because it wasn't 100% correct!
If only they'd put a sign up indicating the low clearance for drivers.🤔
I'm still using my phone GPS and I only screwed up twice but no damage so far.
Typical steering wheel holder 😂😂😂
The truck that made the U-trun in the cold-de-sack represents the modern day "truck drivers" perfectly!😂
Good thing he had his tandems slid forward or he never would have made it!🤪

I don't understand how people drop trailers? How does that happen? do they not put down the landing gear?
I think the truck at 2.22 has forgot to set his breaks
Orange truck tailgating and then crossing the gore area just got taught a lesson in patience. Do not cross the solid lines! They're there for a reason. Screw him.
1:35 and 2:42 😂 best in crash reps
4:17 nice save indeed there driver
Damn it man that last wreck looks like the driver shit his pants bc he went for a hell of a ride c’mon 😂😂😂
I was a driver for 6 months when I got my truck stuck. I deserved to be on bonehead truckers.
gotta say, we snow-mexicans appreciate the the tips from dix trucking ...( and your new format )... seems there are a few candidates from here that should think of padding their resumes and go stateside ....
I think the driver in the white volvo money clip is fired from his next 4 jobs😂😂😂
Just Got My C.D.L.S Start At DICKS Trucking On Monday!!! Wish Me Luck.
Videos of the week ? How did I miss those, damn
Well here is something to think about when ur gps doesn’t tell u about low clearances the smart thing to do is not to hit the bridge but stop and call the authorities true bone head 😂😂😂😂
Ike knows Schneider policy because he himself was once a bone head trucker 😂.
At we are Dix trucking, our motto is: "We only hire the best of the worst!"
I got a friend that has a friend. That's got a cousin with one roller duck type. He can fix that bumper.
4:17 "gOoD saVe" nah, it's called staying calm
I saw a T/T do like that trash truck on a minivan in South Carolina about 20 years ago. The trailer landed on top of the minivan & you couldn't even see it. All you saw was a truck laid over. I just happened to see it happen.
I hate when my GPS drives my truck under a low bridge.

5:00 when you just bought a truck but don’t have a job anymore…
I was there the day the Schneider deover dropped the trailer. Didn't see it happen but I left around the same time as they guys who were filming
Also the guy that made his truck and trailer a chop top I bet he ain't got no panties on😊😂
That one in the dead...JUST BACK UP!!
I worked for swift & got fired & worked for Schneider also got fired now time to go work for Crete to see how long I can last there.
P.S. IKE, YOU GOT AN AWESOME RUclips CHANNEL!!
lmfaooo the dude that hit the bridge... ya didnt see the sign there?? it looks a bit small hahahahahah
All the signs and flashing lights and he still hit a low clearance and didn't he see it coming if he missed all the signs? Makes you wonder about people.
My guess is that driver was busy watching the TikkyTokky or a movie on his device
Dont blame the gps for your stupidity.....1) shell out theextra $200 for a truck gps 2) PAY ATTENTION AND READ SIGNS
