That was the coolest-looking rally car that Hyundai has ever put out. The N cars are cool but that model of Accent was just so cool. I had a GSi and it was such a fun little car. Needed far more power, but it was still a great little car to drive.
From what I remember: it uses the Beta II 2 liter engine w/turbo, good for 300hp. The AWD system is derived from their 4wd Santa Fe, which was not as advanced their competitors but good considering their limited budget.
Thank you so much for this Video. I own a 2001 Hyundai Accent GSi 1.5 DOHC 102 HP with Factory fitted side skirts, rear spoiler and electroluminescent speedometer. I Love this Car.
I never even knew this existed..... The Accent road-car I always felt looked like a 90's rust bucket from day one but this WRC variant looks incredible, as if it's a completely different manufacturer that made it. I love how this thing sounds, and boy is it rapid, very nimble too. I see people mentioning it being in GT4 and yet despite loving that game to pieces I don't think I ever drove this car knowingly whilst playing GT4. Thanks for the footage Bozzy!
No problem at all! I'm one of those guys who definitely remember this car in GT4 since I struggled so much to get the gold medal in the S-Licence mission, featuring the Accent on the snowy Ice Arena
@@19Bozzy92 It seems like GT4 (Gran Turismo 4) really did define a entire generation of Motorsports fans, without that game and Ridge Racer on the PlayStation 1 it is unlikely that I would have ever of been so deeply interested not just in cars, but more specifically MOTORSPORT. For me my two favorite disciplines have to be; 1. Hillclimb Racing (Especially the Open Categories where ANYTHING can compete) 2. Endurance Racing (Especially 80's Group-C & Late 90's/Early 00's GT1/LMP900) I have a fondness for the strange, unique, or downright insane cars, the vehicles you'd never in your life expect to see in Motorsport, like the Dacia Logan that competed in the 24-Hours of Nurburgring Nordschliefe both this year & last year, terrible car, awesome to see it gunning around the Green Hell like it's the end of the world! All the best to you and your family/friends Bozzy, take care, stay safe, and make sure to enjoy those cars for us all! Peace ✌️
Hello everybody. Where can i get rear wing like on that accent? it doesnt have to be exactly the same but anywhere close to it? I dont expect its going to be plug n play but at least something that i can fit with some mods. Im not building replica but id like to have daily with rally livery on it just for my own pleasure (i have other cars for amateur rallying and beating em ;) ). (also sideskirts? front bumper ill just mod a little and paint properly, it will be good enough to be satisfied). Thanks in advance and also big thanks for You Bozzy for making these videos, i really enjoy watching them.
Gran bel mezzo la Hyundai Accent WRC. Attendiamo un video dedicato al bellissimo esemplare di Skoda Felicia Kit che ha corso in questa edizione del "Rally Legend". Un lampeggio...
This confuses my brain. I don't think i ever thought of one of these ever being a rally car. They seemed to come off the lot here with one black fender, one donut spare and fist-sized rust holes
Im watching this sitting in my normal 2005 accent, damn these things just fall apart 34k miles and its rusting already. I really like the design and shape though its painful to see there is a performance version Ill never own.
Yeah, every Accent I have EVER seen has been a total rust bucket, and the car looks like it rolled off the production line in the early 1990's and never updated. It's such a shame that they made such a good rally car out of it but they couldn't take any of that good stuff and put it into the road car.... A complete miss by Hyundai.
I remember that there was something unusual in the construction of this car, in comparsion with the other WRC competitors. Probably this was the one without active differentials, but im not 100% sure, it was years ago.
It still had a sequential gearbox while everyone with lever when everyone else had the budget for steering wheel paddles. The engine was tilted back as far as it could go either like competitors that's two things I remember.
it says in the description is has a turbocharged 2.0 litre engine out of a tiburon or elantra, the 6 speed is from korea they made a 6 speed for the 2.0
Not an 4g63. It's an Hyundai beta engine an really strong economy motor that actually handles boost every well. It was found in tiburons, elantras, Tucson, and some other kias too.
the engine hyundai put in the wrc accent was a heavily modified version of the hyunday beta g4gf engine a 2L 16v engine that came in the hyundai coupe from that era. They hooked a turbo, a 6 speed seq gearbox and a 4wd system.
All wrong... in 01 and 02 (not sure about 00 or 03) .. it had the older cosworth engine, found in the 98 escort and early 99 focus wrc, whilst competitive in the ford's, obviously it wasn't by the time the early 00s came around. I remember reports at the time saying that it had decent power but weak torque, or vice versa. Shame really, as the chassis was good.
Early 2000s WRC was so good.

The accent cool? LOL! Their best rally car was the Coupé super 2000, that was sleek and got better success
@@gillespriod5509 yea nah but it's not cooler then this though
bro the ultimate cool is if you can maximize small car other than always having bigger ones..
@@stalkershawhe's not wrong y'all
I've got the gt version and it's my goal to make it something like the wrc one within my lifetime
Rally car, special stage, night, flames, anti lag, Bozzy delivers yet again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
😄 Glad you liked it!
Huge flashbacks of the WRC games with this one
Thank your Bozzy
No worries!
Oh wow I didn't expect to see this one. I loved the Accent WRC in Gran Turismo 4.
Grande Bozzy sei sempre il top!
that was my go-to rally car. it stomped
Grazie mille!
WOW I didn't know Accent has a WRC version! Pops are crazy

WHAT IS THE 0-100 ACCELERATION TIME?
Less than 4 sec. I suppose.
What transmission is this beta hooked up to?
Rwd?
4wd
I wonder if it has the 4G63
This one has 84mm bore x 90 mm storke, so suprisingly - no 4G63!
