- The Ramones and Rancid do "53rd and 3rd"
For those who insist on commenting that "punk is dead"... then why the hell are you watching this? Furthermore, anyone could make the case that the music you do favour is dead. There's nothing new under the sun remember... some kinds of music may well be "dead" to you, it says more about you than it does about any band or song.
Metal "died" for me YEARS ago.... Видеоклипы
Two of my favorite bands on the same stage!
Lar's voice kinda fits for the "Then I took out my razorblade" part tho,
one of the best versions of this song
I love metal, I love punk, my life would not be same without this music
RAMONES FOR EVER!!
Years later, and both of them still shred amazingly
No genre is dead to me. As long as people as listening to it and playing it, its still very much alive.
i would do ANYTHING to be able to go back in time and play on stage with the ramones, or even to meet them. A+ to the ramones & rancid
Ramones + Rancid.. nothing but legendary!
Absolutely love this song. This was another master piece written by Dee Dee Ramone,, a true punk all the way to the core. Long Live the Ramones!

i'd kill to go back in time to this show.
Brilliant!! Two of the best bands!! Great song :D
one of few times that a ramones song was played with 3 guitars..! awesome...
I still think that must have been a "god" moment for Lars and Tim.... how they managed to pull it off so brilliantly is a testament to their own excellence.
2 of the best punk groups ever
son lo mas grande! Los llevo en el corazón!!!
Probably the best version of 53rd and 3rd in my opinion. Heck I bet Tim and Lars still can't believe they got to be on stage with their idols :)
The best Punk Rock combo. Best version of 53rd and 3rd.
I dont know much about Rancid but the guys voice goes great with this song. I love this song aswell.
First time I heard "..And Out Come the Wolves..." I was blown away! One of those tapes (yeah it was a cassette) that I could listen to from beginning to end!
This is the best version of 53rd and 3rd ive heard. yeah i know the ramones are still playing it.
I really wish i was there at that concert.
Viva la punk rock! Who says its dead.....the feeling I get still when I watch any real punk artists indicates that punks still kicking ass!
The Ramones are absolute legends
This was the most Epic(for a lack of a better word) combination of Punk Bands ever. The Ramones and Rancid. It just had to happen..
Hell ya. When they were young they thought they knew it all, but they grew up to look askance at anyone new coming in to their world
Dude even if the world were to end in 2012 like many people freak out about.
Punk would still not die!!!!!!!! And it never will!!!!

Hey You! is still pretty new but they're really dope. cute singer girl too :-) check em out.
type in "hey you band taking over"
Well, the original studio recording appears on the Ramones first album (self-titled) in 1976. You can find the CD of this very performance on "We're Outta Here" released in 1996 on Eagle Rock Recoreds. There is no studio version with Tim and Lars teaming up with the Ramones.
Now that is VERY special.
Awesome!
hell yeah Ramones and Rancid! so sick!! =D RR
Where the hell was I when this happened? I'd give anything to see these guys together!!!!!!!!! BTW, I'm in love with DEE DEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
goosebumps
Ha ha! I was at Op Ivy's last show at Gilman Street. I also saw them play with Primus, Psychefunkapus, Beatnigs, Greenday, Nomeansno, Victim's Family, NOFX and Firehose, to name a few. If you liked punk rock, the SF Bay Area was a very happening place to be back then. I think I was too young to really appreciate what I was seeing, but I'm glad that in Op Ivy, I got to experience Rancid's early incarnation.
amazing
yeah, they are all great band!
I Love
i'd love to see dee dee, lemmy AND matt freeman!
August, 1996. Their last show in LA.
tremendooo!!!
The guitarist in all leather has always been the lead singer for Rancid, that's my hero, Tim Armstrong. Lars Frederiksen(the dude singing the razor blade part) was picked up by Rancid after they recorded their first album, he sings too. Just answer the question a previous commenter had.
great vid, thnx for uploading

@SkaPunk026 thats the best answer to "is punk dead" that I've ever heard.

Amen To That!!!!!!! Punks Not Dead!!!!
If I saw someone dressed like Joey they would scare the hell outta me :P But this is pure awesome.
@LastChanceForLoud First thing I thought as well. Lars has a great voice for the backup vocals in this song. And for as old as Joey was, his voice was still pretty damn good.
