Joey was a great guy. I was the bassist for Joe King Carrasco & The Crowns and we played with The Ramones in APril 1983 at The Agora Ballroom in Dallas. The dressing rooms were way upstairs in the back of the hall and, when it was time for us to open the show, Joey had to "show me to the stage", which is ironic because that is one of the lines from "I Wanna Be Sedated"! I think about that sometimes and it makes me smile! I miss him (and the others) quite a lot.

i was at this show. eddie vedder sat two rows below me, upper seating area, before he went on, and tim burton was also sitting near us. Saw guys from Rancid in lobby early on. Was amazing show!!!
the ramones saved rock n roll and kept it alive, this killer show was one last shot of medicine.
only the ramones could play their songs twice as fast, and they still work?!.... also amazing there is no drop off from their very last note of 2263 shows and 22 years....when they couldn't get any better they quit

back then in 77` when i was fourteen a friend of mine show me this album with four dudes on the cover wearing leather jackets and when the first number was blasting out and i hear the famous HEY HO LET`S GO i was sold and to this day and forever on the ramones will have this special place in my heart ..so VIVA LA RAMONES!

It was incredible back then and I was lucky enough to have seen them many more times over their span and at one point at the old lIving room in Providence , RI, I got swept backstage after the show and got to hang and party with them all night long, and I have an autopraphed remo drum head and picks to show for it..sadly there was no digital cameras or phones back then..be glad you can hear the awesome tones and energy of the Godfathers of punk rock ! , HEY HO LET IT SNOW !!

The Ramones rocked HARD. I saw this tour in Toronto and once in the mid eighties in Montreal. I could not take the live volume but I love their songs. I don't like the editing in this video or some of the angles. That said the band kicks major ass. Love it. Thanks for posting dood.
The Ramones shows were so full of energy. I loved how they always stepped up the tempo and played faster than there recordings. SWAN and I went to one of there last shows. At one point, we were in the middle of the mosh pit, slammin with all the younger people,( and SWAN is tall right, , like six foot six ), and when the Ramones finished the song, Joey sticks out his arm and POINTS to SWAN and YELLS into the mic, " YOUR GETTIN OLD MAN!!!

Marc Bell (marky ramone) was the drummer in the proto-punk/psych band DUST in 1971... the two LP's the released were actually great! KSHE in ST Louis was very fond of From A Dry Camel... in fact, I found a copy of it in some grandma-type's record collection the other day... freaky!
There are millions of bands, before and after the Ramones. There are millions of people in the world. But when those guys quit, they left a hole in our hearts, nobody will ever fill. R.I.P.

Whats really amazing is The Ramones members didn't seem to suffer from any hair loss at all! Not bad for a bunch of old guys!!! Seriously tho - a major influence in music history. They were an important part of the 70s-80s music scene and will continue to influence for a generation to come. They deserve a lot of credit. RIP boys...

As of that date, despite what writers of a FICTIONAL t.v. show wrote, the Ramones had been disbanded as a group since 8-10-96 (this show)
Also as of that date:
Marky: playing/touring with the "Misfits"
C.J.:on other projects
Johnny: retired from music, fighting prostate cancer
Joey: dying of lymphoma, died 4-15-01
Marky did drum for Joey on his SOLO album.
This was the last RAMONES concert ever!

@MortifiedPenguin275 I had the pleasure of seeing Marc in person a couple of months ago and he was fantastic. Like the Ramones he never stopped playing. Just one big rocking sound wall to wall for 90 minutes. He evoked the Ramones without ever mimicking them. It was a blast.
