Dove Men + Care Charcoal + Clay bar soap review

- This is my favourite dove men care bar that I’ve use so far. It is a medium grit exfoliating bar. The smell is of a deep woodsy vanilla, and really makes you feel warm and prepares you for the winter time. The bar is almost 4 ounces and has a very oily feel and was very creamy and soft almost melting in my hand. The bar lathered really well , gave a good wash and rinse. Unfortunately this beautiful smell does not last when you come out of the shower. I find that this is probably the most manly smell that Dove has made in a bar. My only downfall of this bar is that it just goes away way too fast. In four days of using the bar it melted down about 90%. Although the price is only around five dollars for three bars still I wish each bar gave you at least a week and a half to two weeks of usage. This one looks like it’ll be about a bar a week. Definitely my favourite bar from dove so far. Stay clean. 🧼🧼

Have to agree that this is the best Dove mens bar scent, I do enjoy the mineral and sage bar but I can’t find it in stores anymore. At first the vanilla scent threw me off but I ultimately find it very warm and relaxing, perfect for a scent headed into fall/winter. The ones I have aren’t quite as shiny and melty, I’ve read that this can be a result of being very fresh from the factory. Supposedly you can unpackage a bar and let it sit on a shelf to dry out a little bit more to stop the meltiness.
And using multiple dove bars back to back, I’ve found that the bars with exfoliating beads don’t last nearly as long, perhaps the beads pull away soap from the bar quicker or something. Nice review!

will give it a try getting use to some of the ones I like running out fast lol sucks but if I like them I put up with it this one sounds nice

Not only do I use this soap but I also use the body wash and shampoo to it and let me tell you bro when I get out the shower I feel sexy as fuck... LOL!!! 😄 it really is some good stuff.
the wetness you are feeling is the moisturizing cream because deep clean is exfoliating it doesn't moisturize as much but yeah they melt in your hands lol

Glad to hear there's another version with a decent scent, as I can usually still detect the "signature" Dove raw materials scent in most of them, which I don't particularly care for. Interesting this bar feels melty as well, as I recall the Deep Clean variety felt that way in your hand as well. Are the Unilever bean counters simply making the bar this way in order to sell more product... or do you think it is the moisturisers? I'm not sure a greasy feeling bar of soap is a good thing, overall! Cheers mate 👍
Ya I think it may have something to do with the cream in it. But the oils definitely can be felt when holding the bar. The scent is so nice I dont like the signature dove smell either. This stuff is great. Thanks for watching! Cheers!!

lol i seen that! Well unlucky for me I still have about 15 of these bars laying around from when i found them. I’m also trying to set up a po box with my post office.
