The Dove Men Care soap is a great product! I have used many times and it produces an acceptable lather

How do I shave with a dove soap bar? I first used the dove shea butter bar.
cut the whole bar. put the cut up bar in a van der hagen shave mug. add water to the mug with the soap inside the mug. make sure to cover the soap with water completely
microwave 30 sec
at a time one minute .
don't let the soap bubble out of the mug?
stop it cool for a sec or two? do it again?
it will congeal. leave in a sunny spot the water will be gone in a week or so?
the soap hardened in place in the mug.
don't get the soap or mug to hot a little at a time easy does it

Surprised at the result! I would of expected to have seen more "average" sting with the alum, but it seems it was smoother than that! Also glad the Perma Sharp blades are coming around, but if they aren't smooth on the first use, I can see that turning folks away. Too blades out there to stick to a blade that doesn't feel absolutely wonderful from its first use to its last.
Same here. It did better than I expected. As for Perma-Sharp, it's decent so far but the first couple uses is questionable for me.. more to follow.
I shave with dove soap, I face lather with it and love it but I have yet to use +3 I need to get some. Great video.

Yeah I was surprised to see the result. It is a bar soap that can be used for shaving so there must be something in there to help create the lather.
Shaving soaps are a soap bar. There's just a difference in ingredients.
I thought that based on the test lather you did that this soap would probably be alright for shaving. I appreciate you testing it our to see if it's usable but I'm not planning to rush out and buy one for this purpose. Thanks for sharing your experience with it. Have a great day!
It'd be a good shower shaving soap. Dual purpose.. maybe even for the hair. A lot of the guys like efficiency, haha.
@@TimShaves that's a great point. I hadn't thought of that but you're absolutely right. I have had plenty of men's shower soaps that claim to be for everything, including shaving.
This must be discontinued, as I can only find a Eucalyptus shave "3-in1" bar in the States. Too bad, I like the clean comfort scent, and used to use the old school formulation Lever 2000 to shave whilst travelling. I don't like Eucalyptus for my face!
I haven't found too many variations of the Dove 3 in 1 soap. This was the only scent I found at my local market and I would've preferred the Eucalyptus scent.
@@TimShaves Thanks for your reply... funny how many common toilet articles do seem to be only regionally available in the US...and how frequently they become discontinued or changed. Even searching online, I was unable to find this. I liked Eucalyptus long ago when I was young, especially Prorasso original, but have since developed a sensitivity over the years.
