Yes sir, I love Dove soap it's creamy and has great cushion. I also like pears soap,I don't use preshaves I just rud it on my face and neck then use my old badger. I'm 61 and I'm glad to see young men figure out how to make lather without spending a fortune on soap.
Hi Dave,
I used Ivory bar soap this morning. Add a drop of glycerin or face lotion to improve the slickness/stay power of your lather. Thanks for the video!
Dave, two videos within a few days? You are on 🔥.
Hello Dave, Great video! Love the bar soap.
Excellent content!
Also...I use Noxema as a pre-shave. It's truly economical and woks great! I've made sure to subscribe...Thanks again!
It might be a knew product but dove makes skin defense + Antibacterial bar soap. It says 3-N 1 HAND + BODY + SHAVE BAR. It has a picture of a cartrige razor on it.
I haven’t heard of that. I’ll look for it!
Hey Dave great to see you again.
I hope you’re well and having a good day.
In my opinion bath soaps and shaving soaps are almost the same excepting that shaving soaps have lasting lather density. But shaving cream and foam have certain ingredients necessary for shaving not found in bath soaps.
So it is ok to use a bath soap only if you don't have access to a shaving soap or cream or foam.
I like Dr Bronners Pure Castille bar soap. Amazing lather and really moisturizing.
I’ll check it out. Thanks!
I use a bar of Castile soap like a shave stick, load my damp brush up with a good amount, add a dollop of Palmolive original shaving cream from a tube, then lather it all up in my shaving mug. Really gives a nice, creamy superlather.
Pears is a better soap to use as a shave soap. Yardley Lavender is good too.
Good to know! Thanks!
Yardley is very nice soap
Well I wouldn't want to be in a situation where I couldn't use one of my shaving soaps but at least now we know bar soap will work in a pinch.
Exactly.
Sometimes one is not in a pinch so much as in a cut. Some soaps may be poorer at lubrication and the shave can give cuts to the skin too easily. That does not mean those soaps are bad for skin cleaning - just that they will work poorly for wet-shaving.
I found it at woodmans and wallmart
Takes skills to later bar soap you Don't have any nutugina bar soap is best.
As what I found too (almost sure). I found an old bar clear or transaprent glycerin soap and tried it for shaving. It worked well. Pears's too.
I suggest talk about fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.
You were going against the grain buddy.... Its going to give you some irritation
Actually, if you go with the grain first, then you should go against on subsequent passes as long you reapply cream. Also, I was actually going across grain. It’s more about how much pressure you use, though. But good looking out! Thanks!
I have better luck with Neutrogena facial bar.
I’ll have to give that a try!
