I recently had an issue with my face. I had a chemical reaction from the Pears soap from the dollar store. Bad idea, considering I have sensitive skin when it comes only towards my face. I had rashes all over my face and it was very red all day long. I didn’t know what to do.. then an 💡 went off in my head and I said “ hey, the BarSoap Guy will know what to do! 😀 “ So I went to your channel and I found that DOVE you recommended. I trust your judgment. So I bought DOVE. I never liked DOVE growing up, because my parents used Dial Gold Bar Soap. I used the DOVE on my face and three days later 😮 WOW. My face is clear, clean and healthy. I thank you so much. You have no idea how much your channel means to me. It may seem simple and fun for most people, but for me, it is informative. Thank you. I am now stuck to DOVE like glue and I bought the moisturizing lotion to go along with it. Love, love, love it. I recommend it. Wonderful 🕊🧼

I found that NOXZEMA was making parts of my face itch during this cold weather. I decided to go back to DOVE and after just a few days of using it, my face does not itch any more and it feels and looks so soft. I already see the difference in my skin and I would recommend this soap to anyone who has sensitive skin as I do. The smell is great and it feels nice on my skin as I am washing with it. It rinses off very easily and it makes a nice lather. I will be using it for a long time. You have such a beautiful speaking voice and you look like you could do acting and modeling. Hi, I really love your video for DOVE soap. I just started using DOVE soap again yesterday after using other soaps and cleansers for the past year. I am a 61 year old male who has very sensitive skin. Most other soaps and cleansers make my face feel very dry, tight, and itchy. From using it last night and this morning, my skin feels and looks so much smoother. It lathers up well and rinses off very easily. The price is good and you can find it in all the drug stores and supermarkets. I highly recommend this soap to men and women of all ages. I will be using this great soap from now on.
Before i found this channel i just used irish spring bar soap and random jells. I decided to try this dove bar for the first time about a year ago and its amazing. Reasons why I like it: it doest have an overpowering smell. It lathers really nicely and my showers are quick and easy. Lastly, i have a beard and shaved head. It works wonders for my dry scalp and beard dandruff. Only downside to it is that it isnt very good if you are really smelly. I use other stuff instead when needed but this dove bar is my favorite for daily use.

I believe that no other barsoap can imitate Dove White more than Aldi's Source Beauty Bar. They are about $1/bar which comes in two per pack. It moisturizes and leaves my skin smooth and silky. Ill give them a 5 star for a store brand soap. Have you made a review about that one yet? Btw, I like your video reviews. They just pop up in my video suggestions which I find interesting. I'm out of Arizona today but so many people have mentioned Aldi's soap that I decided to stop at one and pick up a bar ... Aldi's is nothing like I expected, they only had ONE type of bar soap in the entire store ...I should be testing it in a week or two ..

Tried duke cannon soap and I was disappointed that it felt sticky on my skin for the price. Tried a $1.50 bar of dove white and wow it’s just as good as a body wash!
Wow, I *wish* Dove were still only $1/bar now in 2023. Where I live, it's $1.99/bar if you get the 2-pack at the local Walmart. The best deal is the 12-pack at $1.25/bar. Not sure how much they are at the wholesale stores. I had been a Lever 2000 loyalist since my teens, partly because my doctor back then said it was a good choice for acne (before it was reformulated, at least), but I recently decided to check out Dove after learning about the chemical difference between bar soap and "beauty bars," like Dove and Caress. Dove seems to have a lot of options to choose from. So far, I've tried their Anti-Stress Blue Chamomile & Oat Milk, which has an unusual and almost intoxicating scent, and the popular Pink bar, which I believe is scented with a very pleasant and calming combination of peony & rose oil. I was happy with both of these selections. I think I'll try out their new Revitalizing Cherry & Chia Milk bar next. I was hoping to try their Awakening Pear & Aloe Vera bar or the Relaxing Lavender & Chamomile, but I don't see them on the shelves anymore. Not sure if they were discontinued or Walmart just hasn't been stocking them.
@@draperscott7698 Thanks. I'll check it out. I'm already a fan of the Ivory body washes. They're economical ($5.97 for a 35-oz bottle at Walmart), work great and smell fantastic. The unscented one is very nice, but the milk & honey one is my favorite and smells amazing!

I’ve tried three different dove soaps and all of them were great what was interesting to me is that if you look closely after you’ve showered with the bar for a few times you can see fine lines across the entire bar
Over the last two weeks I watched all your vids. You do an excellent job! I ordered and tried out the Kirk's Castile, unscented Dove body bar, Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap, L'Occitane Milk soap and have a bar of Moroccanoil on the way. I think the Kirk's is the best for rich foamy lather but the L'Occitane is a creamy lather and smells great in the shower - leaves the skin really soft, too!

I like Dove Baby. That’s the dove I prefer to use because I like the scent of dove baby more than any of the other soaps even tho all the dove bar soaps smell amazing.
My aunt used nothing but dove white soap cause she loved the smell of it and she told me it would get me clean! And yes I love to use the bars instead of the bottled versions cause to me it seems like the liquid version doesn’t clean me and they used too much oils in it but the bar soap I use it once I’m clean clean and I feel great after my shower I never really used it on my face tho I have dry skin around my tzone area and I guess I’ll give it a try and see how it does ❤️❤️😁
I developed eczema in 2015 and I’ve tried so many soaps. Mostly “natural” and organic. I tried Dove original for the first time a few weeks ago and it’s the only bar soap I’ll ever buy again. It’s exceptionally better than anything.

Hey bar soap guy!, out of all of the bar soaps that you have tried, is this your favourite bar? Is this the one that you use daily? I did the litmus paper test, on about 5 different bar soaps, and it's true! Just like the commercials back in the 80's and 90's, the dove bar has a neutral PH,tried other scents of dove, but sometimes the "original" is always best, it's the one I keep going back to,great channel! I love Olay cooling White strawberry and mint plus the Olay Shea butter. The Shea butter has in my opinion to strong a scent. The cooling white strawberry and mint, it doesn't have much scent to it!! I love Olay!
Dove is getting so much praise, and that's why I keep on buying it! But I have never had good experiences with Dove. I used their deodorant sticks, and every time I buy it, the stick breaks off. And their shampoo makes my hair fall out. And don't even get me started on the beauty bars! I didn't have acne or dry skin before hand, and this was the reasoning for my acne.
Loved your appearance on Tosh.0! As a long-time Dove fan, what's your opinion on their exfoliating bar? Seems like a bare nod to true exfoliating. My fave: their Cucumber and Green Tea is just perfect, love the scent.

@@anitafutshane7839 sometimes but not always, depends on the time of year mostly, there are a few soaps that you can get away without moisturizing and the classic Dove is close
I love Dove bar soaps. I usually use it for my sensitive skin on my face. But we can only buy the packages with 2 bars here. @_@ If I wanna buy bigger packages I have to buy them online. @barsoapguy: sorry for my late response. Yes we only have packages with 2 or 3 (there is one soap for free). I bought tons of these packages with 3 bars, so I am really fine now wih them. We certainly have big stores but they are smaller than yours in the states. Hey it's Germany xD

Got news for you - Dove is not soap for it is not made in a sapofication and milling process as high vegetable and animal fat oils, and Dove is grossly over rated. The best soap to use for ceaning and moisturizing is a tallow (animal fat) or lanolin- based tripple milled soap - rarely found in the US but widely available on-line, but Dove is nothing more than perfumed cream detergent that cleans very little and so hard to rinse. Sorry to burst your sponcer.
Samuel Fritz I go back and forth between Athens regular white Dove bar and the regular white Ivory soap all my life. I like to mix in Irish Spring once in awhile for hubby due to the smell. Man oh man, I’m an Ivory girl though lol.
They got rid of the one literally called, Unscented. The only fragrance free version is called Sensitive Skin now, and I actually find it less creamy and less moisturizing than any of the other varieties. It also stinks like rancid oils. Yuck!
I try to use this soap as I get awful eczema. Unfortunately I always forget to use it! The soap in public toilets always aggravates my skin. My eczema totally went from one hand but transferred to the other. I can't stop picking dead skin off my fingers! Lol!

Well every person is unique so that could certainly be happening to you ...if super moisturizing soaps are causing you acne then perhaps try some soaps that are more drying ...
I love the way it works, but smells a little too purfume(y) for me. Am I picking up rose scent? Fortunately, once you towel off, the smell fades somewhat. Works great, doesn't dry out my skin, but that smell.....
Hi there, as far as the creamy aspect of the White original, and the Sensitive, which do you find more creamy, and I suppose moisturizing too,?I know the sensitive has Maltol, in place of fragrance, and the sensitive, has a very small hint of the original, I've used both varieties, just curious,
it's been so long since I've used a bar of Dove white it's hard to give an exact 1:1 comparison but I do remember them being VERY similar which was something that suprised me when I used the sensitive skin bar .

These days it's always something new ,but I do keep dove soap by the sink for handwashing ( Dove dry oil ) ...Truthfully now that I've experienced so many different soaps I must say that Shea moisture is my favorite brand thus far ...

Dove beauty bar is geared towards female use, have very little cleaning ability, and the #1 dermatologist recommendation/approval is just a marketing gimmick.
I just started using it and I got gentle exfoliating and I was surprised by the way my skin felt after using this soap I've used PEARS and YARDLEY LONDON for many years but not DOVE.

I use dove on my face and hoo hoo😊. A lot of fash and feminine washes have too many chemicals and I break out

My aunt used nothing but dove white soap cause she loved the smell of it and she told me it would get me clean! And yes I love to use the bars instead of the bottled versions cause to me it seems like the liquid version doesn’t clean me and they used too much oils in it but the bar soap I use it once I’m clean clean and I feel great after my shower I never really used it on my face tho I have dry skin around my tzone area and I guess I’ll give it a try and see how it does ❤️❤️😁

I developed eczema in 2015 and I’ve tried so many soaps. Mostly “natural” and organic. I tried Dove original for the first time a few weeks ago and it’s the only bar soap I’ll ever buy again. It’s exceptionally better than anything.

Hey bar soap guy!, out of all of the bar soaps that you have tried, is this your favourite bar? Is this the one that you use daily? I did the litmus paper test, on about 5 different bar soaps, and it's true! Just like the commercials back in the 80's and 90's, the dove bar has a neutral PH,tried other scents of dove, but sometimes the "original" is always best, it's the one I keep going back to,great channel! I love Olay cooling White strawberry and mint plus the Olay Shea butter. The Shea butter has in my opinion to strong a scent. The cooling white strawberry and mint, it doesn't have much scent to it!! I love Olay!

Dove is getting so much praise, and that's why I keep on buying it! But I have never had good experiences with Dove. I used their deodorant sticks, and every time I buy it, the stick breaks off. And their shampoo makes my hair fall out. And don't even get me started on the beauty bars! I didn't have acne or dry skin before hand, and this was the reasoning for my acne.
perhaps you should try Shea Moisture, it might be more to your liking. ..

Loved your appearance on Tosh.0! As a long-time Dove fan, what's your opinion on their exfoliating bar? Seems like a bare nod to true exfoliating. My fave: their Cucumber and Green Tea is just perfect, love the scent.

Got news for you - Dove is not soap for it is not made in a sapofication and milling process as high vegetable and animal fat oils, and Dove is grossly over rated. The best soap to use for ceaning and moisturizing is a tallow (animal fat) or lanolin- based tripple milled soap - rarely found in the US but widely available on-line, but Dove is nothing more than perfumed cream detergent that cleans very little and so hard to rinse. Sorry to burst your sponcer.

Samuel Fritz I go back and forth between Athens regular white Dove bar and the regular white Ivory soap all my life. I like to mix in Irish Spring once in awhile for hubby due to the smell. Man oh man, I’m an Ivory girl though lol.

They got rid of the one literally called, Unscented. The only fragrance free version is called Sensitive Skin now, and I actually find it less creamy and less moisturizing than any of the other varieties. It also stinks like rancid oils. Yuck!

I try to use this soap as I get awful eczema. Unfortunately I always forget to use it! The soap in public toilets always aggravates my skin. My eczema totally went from one hand but transferred to the other. I can't stop picking dead skin off my fingers! Lol!

Well every person is unique so that could certainly be happening to you ...if super moisturizing soaps are causing you acne then perhaps try some soaps that are more drying ...

Fortunately, once you towel off, the smell fades somewhat. Works great, doesn't dry out my skin, but that smell.....
Be warned if you don’t like that Dove white scent the vast majority of their bars for men and for women still have a bit of that scent in them .

Hi there, as far as the creamy aspect of the White original, and the Sensitive, which do you find more creamy, and I suppose moisturizing too,?I know the sensitive has Maltol, in place of fragrance, and the sensitive, has a very small hint of the original, I've used both varieties, just curious,
it's been so long since I've used a bar of Dove white it's hard to give an exact 1:1 comparison but I do remember them being VERY similar which was something that suprised me when I used the sensitive skin bar .

These days it's always something new ,but I do keep dove soap by the sink for handwashing ( Dove dry oil ) ...Truthfully now that I've experienced so many different soaps I must say that Shea moisture is my favorite brand thus far ...

Dove beauty bar is geared towards female use, have very little cleaning ability, and the #1 dermatologist recommendation/approval is just a marketing gimmick.

I just started using it and I got gentle exfoliating and I was surprised by the way my skin felt after using this soap I've used PEARS and YARDLEY LONDON for many years but not DOVE.

Hi, is this a great soap for a man to use?
BarSoap Guy, I need your advice. I have a 16-pack of the white Dove Beauty Bar. I stored the bars under the bathroom sink. Today I pulled out a new beauty bar and it smells weird. Is there a way to prevent this from happening? I've used other bar soaps and they don't have a weird smell no matter how long I store them.
Try washing the bar off for a bit and see if that scent goes away .
