- More informative than humourous, I felt that this sort of content is sorely lacking in the Elite community. Hopefully this does some good! Also, in the time it's taken me to upload this on my shitty 1mb/s upl connection, the new patch has dropped where the T7's hull has been doubled. 1190 armour bois!

And yes, now I'll go back to grinding the RNGineers to get that sidewinder guide done :(
I got interdicted by Nitek a while back, I couldn't stop laughing he was spamming local chat with the standard npc lines about tasty cargo etc. i was in a pvp vette at the time with no cargo, but i always appreciate somebody staying in character :)
ty for the tutorial and please keep posting.
06:15 the most most precious piece of info: Ctrl-B for bandwidth monitoring, anything higher than 600B/s is presence of another ship. Be careful not to re-assign (bind) B to something else.
07:02 check the local player list on the top left.
you should instantly drop from super-cruise BEFORE he notices you.
07:15 if you choose to stay around you should choose to take a long super-cruise route towards your target station.
Going straight there is a mistake.
07:30 leave another system highlighted for hyper-jump.
Wonderful piece once more, you in particular do make me stride to be more funny in my own work too! Keep on it mate!
Pro Tip: The T7 is taller than you might think. xD
Instructions unclear. Loaded T7 with railguns and hull reenforcement. Died pretty gud.
Glorious!
"even my whiskey is strong enough to melt through"... Classic.
Thats got to be the best line of all time
I had no idea that Hyperspace jumps weren't affected by Mass Lock! this is going to save my ass SO MUCH in combat zones!
There is indeed some mass-relations by structure of FSD junp mechanics, so it's important.
I start to think that these suicidewinder pilots are paid by the local police force to ensure the speed limit.
This video was selected by the channel as one of the best Gaming Videos on RUclips and added to the channel's playlist accordingly. Thanks for the making and sharing.
It's a must for new players!
I hope this GG series continues. Highly amusing stuff to enjoy with my morning coffee. Thank you. I have no engineered ships but your work has made me want to go to open now and enjoy the sickness of humanity
in fairness, landing with FA off is no picnic, you made it look easy
FA off and Rotational Correction off...
The crime and punishment system is the only thing that can save me.
Patrick Wainwright I figure these are the same people who won't learn to defend themselves because that's what the police are there for.
The police (in this game) are there to eat doughnuts and harass newbies who inadvertently loiter above landing pads. Every once in a while, I get useful help from them but mostly they just get in the way.
Much like the real police then.
Just the odd chance your high wake target happens to be obscured, be prepared to select another system from the list. Or you can have a route plotted before to other systems and map the binding "Resume route" (i forget) or whatever it is called so you can instantly target the next system after submitting to interdiction.
Decided I had to come back and watch this iconic video again.
Where did the gunship video go? Don't remove history
Right!? I came here for a trip down memory lane, and I am so disappointed
Absolutely awesome
OMG! I love this guide! not only does it show you how to build a really survivable ship but it was also awesomely funny. I love the monotone simulated voice!
Now people will complain that doing this adds too much time to their trade runs.
Brevok Muh credits per hour
well the rebuy screen means less credits per hour so a sane person should be perfectly happy with slower.
First name Last name Hehe i like that feeling too :)
Better that be robbed by a some douchebag or a npc pirate.
Great work on the video CMDR! The running commentary is great. Posting a Coriolis link to your build would help as well. More players need to understand how to survive in open.
Excellent vid, funny and informative. Loved the windows sound effect. Thanks for this.
I wish I had come across this video years ago, would have saved me a lot of grief.
One of the most entertaining vids I have watched in recent memory. love it.
This is actually a really solid guide. Well done
you the man. one suggested optional upgrade is a macro tool, such as voice attack or those things that come with your gamez keyboard to program in comedic and amusing taunts as you boost past your attackers. they love that.
Looks like the Type-7's core internals were upgraded since this video was published, so it can now equip a PP, PD, and some other things 1 class higher.
As much as my eyes roll whenever I hear "SDC", it's amazing how this isn't common knowledge. I can dodge most of the griefers by submitting and low-waking on them in a Type-9 for maximum embarassment, thanks to not sacrificing my shield.
Great job man, now traders got no excuse.
The funny thing is this would make our lives as pirates harder but I'd almost rather grab a pilot like this rather than someone who either curses me or just silently runs and lets me interdict them over and over.
Indeed, so they reported it on the forums and got Rinzler banned... Typically pathetic.
Well to be honest we all know the forums have got utterly retarded and nonsensical rules - maybe Rinzler o7o7o7 should make two versions - this one for those of us who don't fucking care about harsh language, and a special Carebear Edition which doesn't fall foul of the deplorable rules there.
Now that's what I call Playing The Environment :P
Banned for saying Open PvE. :p
Certified hood classic.
Great job- this saved me during the Wolves of Jonai CG today. I tell every trader I see to watch this!
Informative and entertaining. I can definitely use something like this if I'm taking a vessel to Deciat for its basic upgrades. They don't exactly post signs when the system is hot and most gankers are so predictable.
This music still kills it.
The artificial voice narration makes these videos freakin' hilarious! hahahaha xD but at the same time they're informative, keep em coming man!
Well, hell... this is great work. Is this part of some community service thing? From an intrepid pirate, I offer heart-felt thanks for helping to bring traders back to open.
Shit... now I have to subscribe. You're doing God's work here. o7
git gud guide to exploration
Shaddd lol, would love to see Rinzler's exploration guide... "fly to a system, scan the fucking star, scan some fucking planets, do that a million more times.. make 100 fucking credits!"
Cmdr Flint hahaha
Hyman Rickover I'd watch it
"play in solo" *end of video*
So beautiful it almost brought a tear to my missing eye.
CMDR Fly Auburn I admire your perseverance at trying to pirate me. o7
Are you planning on continuing this git gud series? Your humour is one of a kinda and the videos are straight to the point, in a brutal way.
Sweet video Rinzler. As a trader who's only ever played open, I wholeheartedly endorse this video. Cracking job. Best point made - I thought - was the advice to always run shielded and in military spec armour. Yep. Always. And inject that bitch with boosters. Adding military only drops range by about 0.5ly on a Conda, and putting a shield in the second largest slot almost entirely offsets that drop anyway as shileds are lighter than the equivelent tonnage of cargo.
Great video.
You seen any blind pew videos by any chance?
One of the most informative and at same time funniest videos on ED. Nice Job man o7
Gold as always Rinzler!
What about fitting a point defense for the FSD scrambling missiles?
As a elite player I can't tell you how many times this video has saved my life... only that this advice and his demonstration are solid.
Fuck called me out in the first minute! You had me laughing at so many points, and this is really good advice. Thank you!
1:18 caused me to start laughing uncontrollably. Well put together and explained guide. I approve. :)
Have you considered doing a 2019 version of this, including what to do with Grom Bombs and Cyclonic torps?
grom bombs easily countered by point defense and they're dumbfire so you can just like... turn?
Out of curiosity, were those friends volunteering to gank you for the demonstration, or did you just have to fly around long enough to find suitable test subjects?
How about not flying a type 7 a asp explorer and then a stripped python is next to impossible to interdict .
Awesome vid!
Great production, very jealous I did not think of it. WELL DONE!
That is a bloody good guide. Hell, I didn't know about that mass locking thing! Thanks.
"and remember never, ever, ever ,ever break the fucking speed limit. Oh wait, why isn't the station shooting at us? oh that's right we are not breaking the fucking speed limit."
Makes me want to play in open more.
Hahaha had to pause at the 13th bit 😂
This is by far the funniest fucking thing i have seen for Text-to-speech AND ED. Not a second i wasn't dying from sarcasm
When do we get the Type 9 edition? lol
This is only good advice in certain situations like if you have cargo that took a long time to get and you want to trade it in an area that is rife with gankers or pirate players.
In most other situations, get to know your trade routes, pick up multi-million mission runs, soon enough you'll realise that shields are not needed and that the speed police are pretty much never around. I sometimes trade about 40 hours a week and nearly never get destroyed (once or twice a month) and when I do, I only lose 3 million in insurance + fines, I make 3 times that back again in less than an hour. It ain't worth slowing your game down because you're worried about being killed.
I love type 7 but python fits on medium pads and can fit big boy weapons to kill the mission npc's sent after you so you can scoop them.
I remember watching the video ages ago. Now it's more fun to watch as I know who you are o7 CMDR
The best bit of this amazing vid has to be the FAoff docking
Best all around trade ship: Python. Can fit in any station, can be kitted to hold more than a type 7 with shields. Best big ship(s) for trading are type 9/Cutter but they only fit in big stations.
Lol, damn funny, & great video & useful!Only 1 thing I might change, surely it would be better just to plot route to another system the moment you dropped into your destination system?I find I'm borderline panicking when I get interdicted, lol, so opening a menu & selecting (or even just locking) the system is a recipe for failure ;).
"every bit of speed counts, even in this fucking whale of a ship" luled hard at this.
The Coriolis T-7 shielded trader build now says 72MJ of shields is optimal.
Stellar content, as always. Makes me laugh madly (read as: snort and snicker every once a while) as all other guides.
Git Gud Clipper pls.
I always hot key "next system in route"
2023 approved
This is a great video, and players should take heed of the excellent advice offered here :)
Excellently produced video, man!
9:25 a wild rocket-propelled FSD disruptor/ FSD inhibitor torpedo appeared!
great video as usual! loved it. keep up the awesome work
Late to the party but as a new player i find this guide very helpful and entertaining. Great work! I like the hud. Anyone knows the parameters?
Do you have a video or something showing off your controll setup? That FA-off flying was quite impressive.
Mate, you made my day with this video.
Ahaha it's amazing!
Subbed!
Just noticed the windows that Rinzler has open in the background at :50.
Pure genius.
This is fucking hilarious. Very nicely done :D
Nice. I'm flying a t7 right now and I'm definitely gonna try out this loadout
Great way to teach nubs how to do it! I love how you got your friends to show every scenario!
One of, if not THE best Elite Dangerous videos on RUclips!
pure comedy central :)))))))))
Nice video. Informative and entertaining. Hats off to you.
Type 7 is my favorite ship I've never flown. I plan to pick one up eventually. I was bummed though it wasn't as viable as I had hoped as a reckless explorer kinda ship.
Excellent tutorial. If Frontier had something half as good there would be hardly any trash talk about ganking on the ED forums
This tutorial saved my ass once, I was ganked by two engineered corvettes.
Great guide. I feel like there should be a way to like this twice, one for the guide and one for nailing that landing!
I hope you didn't waste too many perfectly good bottles of single malt to determine what's the best for melting unshielded T7s.
This video made me realize I'm still a noob after almost 2 years of playing this game -_-. Subscribed!
These videos are both funny and informative.
Im trying to work out if its a real robo voice or a really good piss take of one. funny af
The way the automated voice says "damn son" is funny.
the .exe name got me!
make more of these! these are amazing!!!!
Cracked me up in the first few minutes Rinzlor, Funny you SDC lads tell people how to get away but still people bitch about being killed. Tis not hard to evade most times and still people die and bitch on the forums.
Once again brilliant, piss funny and true informative video! Keep it up mate!
Why not enter into super cruise instead of jumping?
Sweeeeeet. I like.
Need more guides like this one. plz!
Caught that headshake on the Cmdr Amidala. LOL
how did you come up with 4 pips in systems == 2.38x sheild increase?
Good instructional video with plenty of humor thrown in.
wuts the music for the video?
Doesn't disabling your cargo hatch, like, spew your cargo all over the vast nothingness of space?
Experimenting with this at the recent CG, I would say it works pretty well. A tricked out corvette who had already been shamed once got me the second time with a cascade torp. I was triggered. I think, though, you are still talking 50:50: it is who is the better pilot, not who has the best toys. Module protection in the 3-slots might be good, if that isn't too immersion breaking.
