Debbie, I have watched many, many different channels dedicated to sewing a variety of interesting projects. In my opinion, your instruction is far and away the most detailed, clear, and enjoyable to watch. I have made several of your projects and have loved the process. Thank you and Lord bless you, Mona
I just love watching your tutorials, I get so engrossed in them, you really are a great teacher, the detail in which you make things you just can’t go wrong, than you so much I’m going to give this a bash ❤️
After many years of sewing I think I've been a bit of a busker, relying on my natural creative ability to make all manner of things. so it's good to learn some new skills. Thank you for your informative and relaxing presentations, especially as I watch most of them late at night. Tired now, going to bed. Thanks again.
Debbie I love the smile you have it’s catching, I want that smile when I’ve made mine . Thank you as usual you are enjoying what you do and helping others along the way...
Thank you Debbie for this wonderful tutorial. I just completed my first one to give someone for their birthday. I was so pleased at how it turned out thanks to your excellent instructions. You are amazing! ❤️🧵💝✂️
Thanks for your awesome tutorials. Your work is absolutely perfect! I appreciate the no-fuss explanations. Not a lot of unnecessary chatter. Also wishing you would consider doing tutorials on classy clothing attire. What and what not to wear. Love your style choices. Such a pretty classy lady!
Thanks Debbie for the video. The fold a bag is an awesome idea. Also thanks for letting us make these and sale them or just gift them. Southern Missouri USA
If your project is small or you can't find gridded interfacing, draw lines on any iron on interfacing... The heavier the interfacing, the stiffer the bag. (I'd use regular old pencil as I wouldn't want sharpie to show through light or sheer fabrics.) ❤🌅🌵😷
Ps. You need your final lines to be accurate, BUT because the lines on the interfacing won't show, you can adjust them as many times as you need, if you are drawing them on yourself. ❤🌅🌵😷
Ps. If your project is large, print a grid on a sheet of paper. If using a thinner interfacing, you'll probably be able to see the grid through the interfacing making it easy to trace the lines onto the interfacing. (there are many free grid downloads on the internet.) 💖🌞🌵😷
Another great gift idea. Thank you Debbie. I have made countless gifts from your tutorials and the recipients have always been delighted with them. I have your 'Bag' book too and it's wonderful. So well thought out.
I have just come across yours tube tutorial. What a fantastic way to get those squares straight and meeting. Fantastic! I wish I saw this before I butted all my squares by hand and basted them to stay straight. Thank you for sharing.
Oh my, this tutorial is just what I needed. I have a fear of zippers and also not done quilting * much * Thank you SO much. I have learned so very much from your Video Tutorials already and one day, I might even try bias binding * eeek *
Thank you once again Debbie for this tutorial. I have just made a quilt (not finished yet) with your Little Birds fabric that you are using, I am so pleased with it, the fabric is really good quality and has been a pleasure to work with. Xx
I love your sewing tutorials and have learned a lot! Could you please provide the finished dimensions of this patchwork cosmetic bag? Thank you and God Bless!
Not sure what size box bottom? Start small like Debbie showed, but don't cut off the triangle. Sew all four corners then turn right side out. Bottom too small! Turn wrong side out and sew a half-inch inside the previous stitching (making the triangle bigger)(no need to take out the old stitching)... On all four corners, turn right side out. Too big? Turn right side in and sew outside the previous stitching, making the triangle smaller (this time you will have to remove the"too big" stitching.) Once your bottom is the right size, you can cut off the triangle, but truthfully I never cut them off. One out of laziness, and two... If the stitching was ever to break (if you cut it off) there would be a hole. By leaving the triangle, never lose your things. But the in the end cutting or not cutting the triangle looks pretty much the same. ❤🌅🌵😷
I want to make bicycle bags: front bag, expandable trunk bag and panniers front and rear and the large center bag above the crank. This might be a good series for you? Lots of options.
Thank you so much for your good video 🙏🤩 its absolutely gorgeous. You really explain everything so even me a newbie can/wii try to make this😍 I dont have the fusible with rows on, but i have bougt som interfacing and batting. It shoul arrive in a few day. Dont you think I can use that??
Do you think a bag the same size would be ok with 5” squares. I have a charm pack that I don’t really want to waste the lovely fabric. I wondering if it will look ok with less squares because they are 5” . TIA

Love it but what are the final dimensions of the bag? What size is the front and backs before sewing?
How do you keep the interfacing from sticking to your iron with all the excess on the edges?

Inspired! Thanks so much for this Debbie! Can you please recommend a quality rotary blade? The ones I’m using at the moment blunt very quickly!
I buy a non branded blade from Amazon... or Olfa if I feel like splashing out...
