Sew A Quilted Toiletry Bag | Tutorial 🌷

Hey guys!! So happy to finally show your how to make your very own quilted toiletry bag/makeup bag/carry-all bag/box pouch - whatever you may call it!
You will need a basic understanding of sewing for this one.
Enjoy!
You will need:
• 2 x quilted outer fabric pieces measuring 11x15 inches. The wadding i use is 150gsm but any standard wadding works.
2 x lining fabric pieces measuring 11x15 inches
1 x zipper tape with pull measuring 15 inches or over
All the sewing essentials - thread, needle, chalk, scissors, etc!

It’s the same 😊 I’m just using scraps in this video so it’s a wee bit smaller but it doesn’t make a difference

How do you not break your needles while sewing the zipper shut? I struggle everytime i try to do it! Any tips?

Absolutely! You must be using nylon zippers and sew over them really slowly - the needle I'm using is a universal 80. If you use any other type of zip it will break the needle x

Hey - you can choose whatever seam allowance - just keep it consistent. The zipper is the same measurement as the length of the bag (as illustrated in the video). And yes, fusible fleece and wadding is different but you can use either for this project, wadding gives a more 'pillowy' quilted effect.
