I found you years ago. So happy you're still making videos 😊
I bought a loom knitting kit for a friend that doesn't have a bag or box for storage. Storage isn't a problem when you have Debbie Shore books.
I had one of your drawstring bags in mind when I came to your RUclips channel, but this one gives me more ideas.
I will make a lined pocket out of the applique piece in the front. Put the ribbon at the pocket top with a button. A loop at the top to keep the pocket from gaping.
A zippered bag in the back and inside. Change the bag dimensions to accommodate supplies and yarn and use my friend's favorite colors so it can be used all year.
I was also thinking I will embroider her name on the end of the straps. Or maybe on the ribbon going across the top of the applique pieces.
When it comes to bags, your videos give me so much creative inspiration! I enjoyed watching this video last night and even more this morning with a cup of coffee.
Gotta go cut some fabric and straps and ribbon!
I absolutely love this bag and very detailed tutorial. Thank you so much! 🥰
Such a great video tutorial, easy to follow for a beginner to bag making. I'm delighted with my Christmas Gift bag and will definitely be making more in different fabrics. I help to fundraise for a local Motor Neurone charity and can see these being very popular at our craft sales.
Beautiful bag and great tutorial. Very easy to follow along. Great use for a fat quarter bundle!
I really enjoy watching your videos and have really missed you. Thank you so much for sharing your videos and ideas with all of us and bringing a little diversion from what is going on in our world today. May you have a Happy Holiday and stay safe and God Bless you. ☺️
Thank you so much, you too!
You should do a book flip through more often. Loved seeing what I'm getting when I order the book. ❤🌅🌵😷
I've finished your bag and I'm amazed its the nicest bag I've ever made but your instructions are spot on and im making more THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR SHARING I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT SO MUCH HATE TO GIVE IT A WAY AND YOUR A GREAT INSTRUCTOR
This drawstring bag is lovely. I made one last year, not so fancy, but I made it with it being used as a shoe bag for the holidays. Now I need a fancy one for reuse every year.... unless another shoe bag is needed. Oh well, my girls could have both!!
That's a great idea!
Thank you Debbie - I'm beginning to feel a bit like Christmas :)
This is such a gorgeous gift bag! Your style of teaching is so calming and clear that you make me feel I can make anything you teach. Thank you so much, off to buy your book, it looked so beautiful when you were flicking through it 😊
Love the gift bag. I’ve struggled with sewing projects when a free arm wasn’t available. I’ve turned my project inside out, still sewing from the right side. I find that I don’t have to worry about accidentally sewing the fabric that sneaks under the presser foot.....only because I’ve done it more then once!! 😂 Thanks for sharing all your projects. ❤️
I just absolutely love what you do Debbie. This bag is just lovely and will be making one this afternoon!!!
Thanks so much 😊
Great yo see you back on RUclips, I'm watching you on my phone after recovering from cov 19 and looking forward to going home after 12 was in hospital. Happy sewing to all and I happy and healthy Xmas to you all.stay well and safe.

Merry Christmas, hope you're better now...
Thanks Debbie, it is always a pleasure to watch your videos.
Glad you like them!
I plan to make more gift bags and this has given me many ideas. Thank you.
So glad to see you back!! I have your half yard Christmas Book and was glad to see a different take on a project
I love these gift bags so much I have decided to use them as craft savers for holidays. For example I am going to add the year and holiday embroidered on the bag with the homemade craft / ornament etc..
Happy to see you back on RUclips
Your tutorials are creative & presented in a clear as well as easy to follow manner.
This would make a beautiful hot water bottle cover, I love it
Thank you for this project! Love this! Your instructions and demonstrations are always so helpful and educational!
Thank you Debbie for your time and expertise (again), I’ve just made a bag and I am delighted with the outcome. Many thanks and keep safe. Kind regards Yvonne from Glasgow xx
You are so welcome!
This was a wonderful tutorial! Thank you for sharing your ideas and talent.
Very nice, and love the box bottom. Will definitely make some with an applique on the front. Thank you!
Thank you for yet another project which as a beginner looks totally doable- you inspire confidence with your easy relaxed clear step by step instructions. And the book looks great, the series are on my Christmas list already.
You're so calm, Debby. Nothing throws you! Not like mad me! Lol. Have all my pieces cut ready to go.🥰 Iris
I love it. The fabric is cute too.
Thank you so much! I will be making quite a few of these bags for Christmas.
Love the giftbag (yes I have your book). If the patchwork were an actual pocket (perhaps a magnetic snap to hold it closed), you could pop a note or card in it.
Lovely! And so versatile for scraps for a scrappy appliqué present!
Its beautiful, I love it.
I’m feeling so inspired, thank you 😊
Beautiful 😍
Wonderful tutorial! I love the bag. Instructions are so good. I think I will give it a go. Thanks, Debbie.

Lovely relaxing video Debbie !
I finally got a break and was able to sit down and sew up some projects. I made custom pillow shams for my breezeway. They came out georgous using various ribbons. Next, is pillow shams for my bedroom. Those will be out of jellyrolls/yardage. I really like the different widths. Not all my boxes are unpacked but one day I hope to find my camera accessories and will post pics. My list is long but I will get to it.
I love your books. I always get one when I see it at joannn. I’ve gifted many.
Oh thank you!
I made the drawstring bag that you posted 6 years ago. It’s the second time I made it and it’s so easy for a beginner like me.
I’m new to your channel and I’m thoroughly enjoying! So glad I found you!! 😁
I Love it!!💯
I love it!
I need a small pressing board like that. Thank you for the video!
Hi Debbie. That is such a cute bag. I just ordered your book from Amazon. It will be a nice addition to the other books of yours that I already have. Cheers.
thank you!
Beautiful 🛍️🛍️🎀
Thank you Debbie.
Another great idea. The threads are made from plastic xx
Lovely idea for Christmas sewing, great video as always.
Hermosa
My friend always makes a specialized bag for every baby shower gift that she gives.
Thank you.
great little project. Wow though, did you know there are sooooo many ads.
Hi Debbie, great tutorial as usual. I have had your book for a while and made a few items but not this particular one. I think if I enlarge it proportionately it will make a lovely Christmas sack for the presents I’ve bought for my granddaughter. You always use such beautiful fabrics in your projects, and I would love to know where you get them.👏🤗
Thank you for the video. Can you tell us what iron you are using? It seems so handy. :)
That's a Prym mini iron, we have them on the website..
@@debbieshore Thank you!
If I made it a tote bag how would I put on the handles please
How wide of a ribbon did you use?
I Am in Australia, where can I purchase your book?
My books are all on Amazon if that helps…
Could it be a Hot Water Bottle.
great tutorial but way to many adverts !!
8:57 What IS ''handmade''?
Things from the store are made by people, as well. with the same help of machinery, as you use. However, these professionals and hard workers (whose profession is one of the essential ones!) are not only underpaid, they are apparently unappreciated and regarded as somewhere beneath the amateur home seamstresses/quilters. They do not get to use cool ''handmade'' labels, nor ''factory made'' ones, nor to show off every pincushion on social media...
But their works also have imperfections. ''personality''. and quality.
Bottom line, pease, leave term ''handmade'' justly for people who do everything by hand.
And it is as well to remember not to denigrate professionals, when praising hobbyists
From my Mom: You are driving crazy. Why do you sit there breathing in that spray?
