Sheddy, next time please include scenes of your parents enjoying your food. The dish looks so tasty with its combination of marinated chicken, spices, and the addition of cream! I love saucy Indian dishes because I love scooping them up with naan!
Sheddy, I followed this recipe with delicious end results, you have no idea how much it meant to me, originally from the UK, I've been living out in the sticks in Thailand for 10+ years, and it was great to eat my favorite curry again.... thank you so much for this authentic recipe, I can't believe I knocked it out the park along with making the garlic nan... my Thai family loved it.....
I am so glad that this bought back found memories for you. It is one of my favorite dishes and it brings me great joy when it bring others the same pleasure!
i like the soothing music and Indian cooking! All the cultures are mixing like the food ! Delishous
I made this tonight, and it was absolutely delicious. I didn’t add the coconut flour, so the sauce was a bit thin. I added a cornstarch slurry which made it perfect. This is definitely going in the regular rotation. Thanks, Sheddy!
Brilliant! Thank you for sharing your views and I am glad it’s a hit for you!
Will be trying this recipe.. looks amazing
Esta riquisimo. La he hecho 10 veces . Gracias por este maravilloso plato!
This was my first ever attempt at any curry - turned out lovely! Thanks!
Yummy
I just made this and it was delicious. Some tips for those who don’t add the sweeteners, I added a tsp of corn starch (I think it’s called something else in the UK - maybe corn flour?) to thicken up the curry at the end. Also salt to taste at the end but the ingredients quantities are spot on.
Chef Sheddy, you need to start posting again.
Give us a chicken tikka masala 🙏🏽
I will, due to unforeseen circumstances, I had to take a break!
Esta receta es la mejor de toda la cocina india que he realizado. He cocinado esta receta mas de 20 veces y todos mis invitados estan encantados!. Gracias por tu trabajo amigo!

Thank you so much for your feedback!
Amazing recipe..
Glad you liked it!
Thank you very much for sharing this amazing recipe 👍
That is an absolute pleasure :)
I love the simplicity of ur recipe @ measurements. I've been trying to conceptually, boil down korma, to just a few ground spices, to not overcomplicate it. I was wondering, tho, does adding cardamom & garam masla @ the very end not leave a gritty texture? My last korma was gritty due to either uncooked spices, puree nuts, or boiling the cream too hard?
Hi, it doesn’t give a gritty texture for me! Some people like to add dedicated coconut and can mask the grainy feel!
The first chicken korma I had was slightly sweet but looked exactly like this. This was an amazing video thank you!
You are so welcome!
Thank you for this great Korma recipe, we made it for the family this evening and we all thoroughly enjoyed it.
I am really glad that you all enjoyed this! Thank you for using my recipe :)
@Darrenmichael Polman Sorry for the late reply, yes it did taste like the Indian restaurant version.
Made it tonight. Very tasty and will become a favourite. Will probably marinade over night and make the paste earlier.
I am really glad you liked it!
This tastes awesome,thank you 👍😁
My pleasure 😊
Beautiful recipe thank you, can I add coconut milk instread of the cream?
Yes of course!
Hi, beautiful recipe thank you.
If cooking for 2-3 people would you half the amount of spice, or keep it the same amount
Hi, the recipe isn’t so spicy initially! If for two. Then I would advise having the spices!
Great video thanks for an easy to follow recipie. Where did you add the gram flour? what is its purpose in this dish? thanks i really appriciate it!
Hi, the gram flour is used to thicken the curry! It is shown in the video where to add! Thanks
@@SheddysKitchen Ok thanks i see that you said it goes in the marinade, cheers
Hi Sheddy - cani use green cardamon powder instead of black? Is there a massive difference?
I would definitely stick with the Black, it does make a difference in this recipe. And thank you for following my channel!
This recipe looks delicious. I am curious about coconut flour. Does it taste of coconut. Can I just use a tin of coconut milk instead?
Good afternoon, you can do this, however the flour helps thickness the recipe a bit better!
@@SheddysKitchen thank you
Can I prepare the cashew mix before cooking or does it have to be done during?
Yes, I can’t see why not! Let me know how it goes!
@@SheddysKitchen thanks for the reply I'm marinating the chicken now.
Hi I have coconut milk powder mix..is that the same..
Yes, that should work!
Hi Sheddy. Can I use coconut milk powder instead of coconut flower?
Good afternoon! I have never tried it with that so I am sure!
Thank you Sheddy! I became your fan :)
Sheddy, where do you get your spices?
Is there an online UK shop?
Hi, are you located in the UK or outside? Thanks
UK
LOVELY. Please can you show, or name the coconut flour.
Brand etc.
Thanks
Hi Ruth, you can purchase any coconut flour. I just picked mine up from Tesco! Thanks
Wow, i never would of guess coconut powder i used either coconut milk or yogurt.
Seriously! Are you a Cook? I will give a 👍anyway.
Professionally? No, I just enjoy cooking ;)
Can the chicken be swapped for lamb?
Please could you write the ingredients separately..
Good evening, the ingredients appear on the video towards the start. Thank you
Sheddy, one quick question. In the video you list "cardamom powder" as an ingredient in the list. When you are adding it, you call it black cardamom powder. I only find black cardamom pods available commercially in my Indian grocery stores. Could you have meant green cardamom powder instead? If not, please clarify. Thank you.
Good evening, it is indeed black cardamom powder. Widely available here in the UK, where are you located?
Hi! Why do you add the cardamom powder and the garam masala at the end and not with the rest of the ingredients? Why not just blend all ingredients together to ensure everything is incorporated? Thanks for the video!
Hi, this is personal preference for me as I prefer the texture! Thanks
Looks really delicious. I was about to make an Indian chicken dish, I have loads of really good recipes: however I came across your video and thought that it would be a nice dish to make. I don't like it too sweet and sickly, and your recipe, from the ingredients, looked rather nice. I'll probably miss out the sugar, but I rather like the flavour of the coconut flour. I will use chicken thighs as I think they are much more tasty. I'll let you know how it goes down in our house.
It was well received in my house. Excellent recipe Shreddy 👍
Can you use almonds or other nuts instead of cashews?
Hi, the cashew is what gives its it creaminess. Almonds can be used and there are some recipes for korma that do incorporate this but it’s not something I tend to substitute this with when making a korma
I would use the coconut flour, but leave out the sugar, and puree the onions for a smoother texture.
What is double cream?
Hi, double cream is sold in most supermarkets, next to single cream normally. If you give it a search online you will see it come up!
It’s called heavy cream in the US.
Please why is there no written recipe.
Hi, there is a video step by step instruction. Thank you
Yes thank you I know, but it much easier to refer to a printed ingredient list. It looks a very nice curry, the only change I would make for myself is to replace the cashews with ground almonds. Thank you for a very clear video I will give this a try.
I thought you used Coconut milk in a korma? No?
No you do not have to use this! Thanks
It's a British recipe
Yeah it says in the title
