Certainly, let's calculate it step by step: 1. Each cycle of beta-oxidation processes 2 carbons and generates 1 FADH2, 1 NADH, and 1 Acetyl-CoA. 2. The 14-carbon fatty acid would go through 6 cycles of beta-oxidation (14 divided by 2) to yield 6 Acetyl-CoA molecules. 3. Each Acetyl-CoA molecule can produce approximately 12-15 ATP molecules through oxidative phosphorylation in the electron transport chain. So, 6 Acetyl-CoA molecules x 12-15 ATP per Acetyl-CoA = 72-90 ATP molecules approximately. Therefore, a 14-carbon fatty acid can yield approximately 72-90 moles of ATP when fully oxidized.
Sir I love your teaching style the way you explain and your speaking assent is awsome

i realize it's kind of randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to stream new tv shows online ?
@Joseph Christopher I would suggest FlixZone. You can find it by googling =)
Sir make a video on Transamination and deamination.
Thank you so much..u clear all my doubts..👍🙏

how many moles of ATP will be produced after complete beta oxidation of saturated fatty acids with 14 carbon atoms
Certainly, let's calculate it step by step:
Great explanation! Thank you!

Awesome video
Could you please suggest me..! In which text book all these concepts are presented
You can follow Lehninger's Biochemistry
sir, so the beta oxiadtion takes place into two places (mito&pere) not just the mitochondria?
Mitochondria is the primary location and it happens in peroxisome as well

@@animatedbiologywitharpan so that means both location are right
@@animatedbiologywitharpan sure
sir beta oxidation of FA is another term for FA catabolism ?
Yes , fatty acid is getting converted to acetyl coa ( in other words broken down)
What is acetyl co a?
its an metabolic intermediate.
Wow
