This happened to me today in Lagos! A police officer said I couldn’t drive in Nigeria with an American drivers license and proceeded to make up some new paperwork needed for vehicle registration. In Irawo Ikorodu road . Took and held my drivers license and vehicle registration until he got a bribe. Wanted me to drive to ikeja police station for nothing more then running across him that day. He was wearing a helmet so we couldn’t see his full face. This is so unprofessional and common why aren’t more of them sent to jail for this it’s wrong praying on the people you should protect! Shame on you and tourist should stop going and stop investing in Nigeria until they fix this! Go live online soon as you see them they was out in force today getting bribes. The airport is another place where they prey on foreigners and tourists ridiculous!
