I'm having a hard time figuring out what they did wrong. Cops run tags all day every day. What difference does it make if she's a state attorney?
The answer is and has been for over half dozen years is they did nothing wrong this traffic stop was absolutely lawfull in every detail.
*police have to have a reason to run tags! they do have scanners on some vehicles but those only notify police if there are tickets against the vehicle from my understanding!*
@lixmediallc9846 That is incorrect! The ALPR scan plates for compliance with registration regulations and the law in the U S is plain registration inquiries (tag run) may be (and is) done any time, any where, for any reason, or for officer information at will. That is the law and has been for decades and is supported by the supreme court, thus as they ran that tag in this story the inquiry was and is absolutely legal in every detail.
They did nothing wrong. People are just looking for reasons to be outraged over. They were professional from the start, and her being the state's attorney doesn't change a damn thing. She's not immune from being pulled over, just like everybody else. I bet if someone stole her car she'd want them out there doing the exact same thing to other people.

Except that's not what happened. And, oh by the way, this chick is basically luck to get assigned speeding ticket cases now. She's essentially been blackballed in Florida because she's such an awful attorney.

I love how she was smiling, knowing that they were bullshitting her.
Random Commenter - Thats odd
She later released a statement to the media ADMITTING that the mv stop was LEGAL and consistent with Florida law 🤔
when he said the reason why we stopped you was also because of the dark tint, her smile said "GOT EM!!" LOL
She acted entitled and immature.
They were not bullshitting tho
She's smiling because she knows they won't ticket her. She thinks she's above the law.
“I’m the State Attorney” damn, that was powerful.
That's when you know you messed with the wrong boss

@My SkinIsBlack exactly! shes black, white cop, so the racism explodes because she is a black states attorney. girlllll get your self educated on the law.
not anymore 🤣 governor didn't take her seriously throughout her term and she abandoned the idea of re-election in 2019
So white officers can't pull the authority card but state attorneys can..
Of course they don’t treat her like anyone else. As soon as they know who he is, they get firm.
I mean the cops didnt even did anything wrong at this point?
Yeah guys i am attorney that means no one can pull over me for any reason
when she said “do you guys have cards on you” and did that little grabby thing... whew the POWER !!! an icon 😭
Destiny Starrett Power move indeed. That finger gesture was everything. 🤏🏾 She had me shook, I almost reached for my wallet to grab my ID. 😂

She shouldn't have revealed she was state attorney this soon ... Should've played with it for a while to see what that cop does.

Oh plz she is so special
The officer is explaining himself to death, never seen that happen before
The guy held himself well. Didn't shirk when she asked for his name and info. To be fair, cops run plates all the time. Especially in cities with the automatic license plate readers, they will just ping the officer if it sees a plate that is listed as stolen.
@@stephanh2981 yeah but if they dont have a reason to do it they shouldnt do it if an amber alert comes out on a stolen vehicle THEN they'll have the right to run plates
@@briellanutella2340 I don't think you understand, in the case of auto license plate readers the plate is automatically checked. So the officer would have been alerted to the suspended plate. It's a citation, so the officer stopped the car. The officers did nothing wrong in this stop. The city council guy wanted to get out of it. He didn't make his dad cancel the insurance but driving without insurance isn't allowed in most if not all states.
And clearing his throat. He knew he effed up. Big time.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
When she rubbed her fingers together asking for their cards, the cops must have felt the THANOS snap. lol

Her: I’m the state attorney
Him: do you know why you pulled me over?
What a load of folderol, as everyone knows she had no authority there. What the policeman required of her during this stop was her compliance, and she complied not only properly but politely at that. He required her I D which she submitted to him and after he examined her document and found her to be legal he then freed her to depart ending this lawful traffic stop then and there. This traffic stop was absolutely lawful in every single detail .
😅
The way she started smiling when he said her windows were too dark...
Had me rolling. I know that look. I have done that exact look lol
Oh hey my step dad got a ticket for the same thing...
@Dejan Luca Dejan Luca yeah but its the fact that he said we tag everything first he was trying to think of reasons
@Dejan Luca Dejan Luca you get it; your not as stupid as your argument suggest. the stop was ILLEGAL, cops not suppose to run license plates without probable cause, ie traffic accident, speeding, etc. so your right they routinely break the law, and that has everything to do with abuse of power. I don't expect you to understand that, so this is for other readers.
@Dejan Luca Dejan Luca ya im curious how this is racially driven pull over?
Cop: Is this your car?
Attorney: Yes, this is my car. Is that your car?
Cop: No.

No she was placed in the confidential records program driving a conditional tag and was freed to depart once the plate was certified by (among other things) viewing her agency I D.
